I went to Black Angus Steakhouse and they didn't have quite a few of the things I ordered, so some items had to be substituted, which honestly wasn't a problem at all. What really made up for it was the 11/10 service! Our server, Natalia, kept sincerely apologizing and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. She works in the front desk when you come in. She even offered me something to drink while I waited and was just genuinely so kind and attentive. Mistakes happen, but excellent service makes all the difference. Natalia's kindness and professionalism truly stood out and made the experience so much better. Unfortunately the service here is inconsistent. Waiter seemed rushed even though it wasn't busy. A different staff member brought us appetizers with no plates and when we asked for some he said our server would help us. But the food is good which is why we go. The prime rib is pretty good. And the side Caesar salad was huge. And the prices are decent for Hawaii. Decor is typical western casual and the music stays in the background which makes conversation easier. read more

Still only 3 stars. Used to be solid 4 long ago. (Thanksgiving 2025 to be exact.) Food was good. Bread was only ok. We had fried calamari strips for an appetizer and shared a medium rare ribeye steak. Food was probably a 3.5 to a 4.0 today. Caesar salad - dressing was more vinegary than usual. Also bread seemed like it was being kept warm for a while because the inside was not as tender as usual. Steak was good and cooked as ordered. Cherry Lime Moonshine cocktail was good. Beer was good. Service was lacking. Server was very polite. We've had him before so he's not a newbie. However, no cocktail napkins under our drinks. Our steak actually came before our salad, brought by the busboy. We were splitting it - as noted before, and dos tell our server that, but no one brought us an extra plate, so hubby started to out his half on his bread plate but I said I'd take mine on the bread plate because I didn't need much of the white rice that was our other side. Server finally came by and we had to ask for our salad, which he'd forgotten. He didn't notice my steak on the bread plate so we never got an extra plate. But then it didn't matter since I'd finished most of my half. I also was using reward points for my moonshine cocktail. I had initially showed him on the app and asked him is he wanted me to click on it, (standard procedure in the past) but he said no, his manager would adjust it at the register. I even reminded him before he brought the check and asked again if I should click on the reward to redeem it but he said, no. So we waited, and he returned and apologized and said his manager said I had to click it in the app to redeem it... sigh. There were some things here that were really good and some that weren't great. Positives were service and some of the food. Wagyu dumplings were really good, our server Taiga was really nice and the kids meal ice cream with sprinkles and chocolate fudge was good. We got the campfire three course meal and it was okay for the entrees. The ribeye was cooked medium and tasted good. The chicken and ribs were okay but the chicken was dry and so were the ribs. The crème brûlée was not good as it looked more like lumpy clumps not in any way the texture or taste of what crème brûlée should be. The kitchen was backed up even though it wasn't too busy. Several months ago we were delighted with the service and food was surprisingly good with the exception of the wagon wheel which is same ol sane ol with a higher price point This time; sabe great service but the back end let their servers down. I don't think it was the chef; he's basically doing what was told. And it's a franchise so what do you expect???? But seriously; my prim rib was just a chunk of meat; no flavor, dry, ; basically edible. We skipped the wagon wheel for the "new" wagyu potstickers. Omg what a disappointment. Call it what it is and not hype it up to be something as luxurious as wagyu. It was a meatball stuffed in a potsticker with a packaged sauce. For the price point? Skip it and just get the fried zucchini's. The sides? Salad was ok; broccoli was wilted; rice was dry. The best part of the meal was the cookie skillet and ice cream. We recently had a small birthday celebration here, and it turned out to be such a great experience! Our server, Anthony, truly went above and beyond, he was attentive, friendly, and constantly checking in on us. The food was reasonably priced, they have this $71 dinner for 2... and we got steak and salmon.. came out quickly, and everything was delicious. The overall atmosphere was just so comfortable and home-y! Christmas Eve brought us back to Black Angus Steakhouse. I was craving a good prime rib without the effort of cooking it myself, and this is usually my go-to spot for that. Our server was witty and full of humor - enjoyable at first, tho it became a bit much after a while if I'm being honest. Still, my wife and I were able to enjoy our evening. Service, however, was delayed at every point. Understandable on a holiday, but not understandable considering the restaurant was less than half full as our reservation was at 4:45pm. What was confusing was that my order for clam chowder was taken even tho they had apparently run out. I wasn't informed of this and waited patiently. About 30 minutes after ordering, my wife's salad arrived shortly after the appetizers. That was when the server casually mentioned, "You ordered chowder, but they're making a new batch." I ended up receiving the chowder at the same time as my meal, roughly 45 minutes after ordering. That said, the chowder itself was delicious. My prime rib was everything I expected: flavorful, cooked perfectly to temperature, and hearty. I especially appreciated getting a cut that was lighter on fat. My wife ordered the filet and was very pleased with her meal as well. Note: There is no Happy Hour on holidays - Christmas Eve included. Parking is plentiful, tho it can fill up fairly quickly during peak times, so go early! All-in-all, this is a place we will return to, even if the service is *always* lacking. This place has gone down hill. Clam Chowder tastes like bland water, Prime Rib had a weird gamey taste, the chocolate cake has gotten smaller, the ice cream scoops have shrunk. What's going on here. Prices have gone up, coupons are less, portions have shrunk. I used to go to this place every week, but hadn't visited for 3 years until now. Big difference from before. They used to give you a full size chocolate cake, instead, they only give a slice now. The campfire feast went up in price nearly $15. Price used to be $56 with a coupon in 2022. Now it's $75 after coupon. Most cuts of steak are an additional $6. So it adds up quick. They put less salad dressing on their salads. We ordered the dinner for two package. My husband had the 12 oz sirloin steak with mash potatoes and steam broccoli. My entree half pork ribs and B-B-Q chicken breast with broccoli, and Mac and cheese. Our appetizer was the fried zucchini's with tzatziki sauce and it only came one desert pineapple cheesecake. My husband rates his steak dinner a 3 out of 5. Steak had no taste. My entree which was the pork ribs/bbq chicken breast I give it 2 out of 5. My bbq chicken breast was a patty that you would use for a sandwich. I rate that a zero. Why would a restaurant use a chicken breast patty as their entree. The half of B-B-Q pork ribs hardly had any meat in it. I rate that 1 out of 5. The Mac and cheese was the worst I tasted. 0 out of 5. The only thing that tasted good from dinner was fries zucchini appetizer and the pineapple cheesecake desert. Our overall rate of our dinner package from Black Angus is 3 out of 5 bc they have great food but do not order this package for 2. We paid $100 for everything. Was it worth $100, NO. Big lesson learn, do not order a package dinner for 2 from Black Angus. Best to eat at their restaurant and choose individual entrees. I have not been to cattle company in ages but we used to come here a lot when i was younger, when they were called Stuart andersons. My mom guys still come here every so often and i was so excited when she picked this place as her birthday dinner restaurant! We had a fairly large party, 8 people, and Corey was hands down the best server. He brought us a 2nd round of bread as he noticed we were gonna devour that first round pretty quick - but come on, it's that squaw with the whipped butter, thats the most irresistible kind!! Yum. He was also beyond ON IT with the water refills - we never once had to ask for water and all of us are pretty heavy water drinkers!! Corey was always checking on us to see if we needed anything, really excellent service. All our meals were exactly as we all ordered it (and how often does that happen when you have this many people?) and the servings were huuuuuge. I am happy to report i will have the most delicious lunch of leftovers tomorrow! Since we were here for my mom's birthday, Corey brought their birthday cookie with ice cream for her and he didn't just drop the dessert and leave, he even sang happy birthday with us! This place was just as i remember it, i always loved the high booths when i was little and i still love to sit there as an adult. Our party of 4 friends had reservations at Black Angus Steakhouse at 4:30p on Monday, 12/22/25. We were seated promptly by the Hostess. The place was nice and empty and we had a great seat in a booth. Our experienced server Michael was very friendly and we had a nice banter going as he served us our drinks and gave us our menu. My friends and I all ordered the Campfire Feast for Two, that includes an appetizer, two entrees with 2 sides, and a dessert. If you want to upsize you can. That is what we did. The four of us paired up for this Campfire Feast deal. We were also teachers so as a teacher you can also get a 15% discount. If one member of your party is a Teacher, Nurse, or in the Military, you get a 15% discount off of your bill. My friend also had a $10 off coupon for all of us on the Campfire Feast Deal as well. My friend and I ordered the Chips and Artichoke dip to share as part of our Feast. It was warm and crisp. The dip was rich and hearty. My 2 other friends did an upsize and got the variety platter of chicken tenders, shrimp cocktail, loaded potato skins. and fried zucchini. They enjoyed it. We all could order sides. I got the salad with a combination of Blue Cheese and Thousand Island Dressing. My friend got the Salad with Ranch and Thousand Island Dressing. We appreciated the combination dressings. We came to Black Angus in Aiea for the Campfire Feast for Two and it was such a solid, satisfying meal. We went with the New York strip steak, chicken breast, and a half rack of ribs, and everything came out hot, fresh, and flavorful. The New York strip was juicy and cooked perfectly, the chicken breast was tender, and the ribs were really the star -- fall-off-the-bone tender with a sweet, smoky sauce that hit just right. The portions were generous and perfect for sharing, especially if you want to try a little bit of everything. Huge shoutout to our server Kirsha -- she was super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. She checked in on us just the right amount and gave great recommendations without being pushy. The inside of the restaurant has giant booth style tables that are horseshoe shaped. I alway have a great experience when I go to Black Angus in Pearl City , Hawaii! Form the expediter Walley , who works hard bussing tables or setting tables up. And the Host I forgot her name but she's tall and mix Caucasian, she's always happy and smiling and not making you feel like you're a bother, even when she's busy. We ordered the BBQ chicken & ribs and the country fried steak for a late lunch today. Both of which were very tasty. Unfortunately today they were out of the prime rib, which was what I was going to order. The waiter was very attentive and kept our water glasses full at all times. He offered us dessert but we were stuffed. Black Angus is in the waimalu shopping plaza so there is ample amounts of parking available. Had a TERRIBLE experience AGAIN!!!! Here's what happened... I'm on Black Angus' email list so I'm notified whenever they have a special. I called to let them know I received an email about their "Steak & Lobster Trio special" and wanted to know if it's good for only 1 per table. He put me on hold to ask someone and then informed me that it's for everyone on the table so I made a reservation. When we were seated, I showed our waitress the "Steak & Lobster Trio special" email that I received and wanted to take advantage of it. She said it's for only 1 person...wha??? I let her know that I confirmed with someone before I made the reservation. She went to find out, came back to say she can give us separate tabs but we all need to show her the special on their app. Two of us didn't have the app but received the email so my husband downloaded it and that special wasn't shown. I asked the waitress if we could speak to the Manager. When the Manager came over, we explained what happened and asked if they can make an exception since I did confirm with someone who gave me incorrect info. The Manager said he has to speak to someone higher than him. Hmmm, not sure how hard it is for a Manager to make an exception like this but shouldn't they have asked the other Manager that can make this decision come to our table? As we were waiting for his response, it didn't make us feel good. It was like I was twisting his arm to offer a special they were "offering" that was good till 2/22/26...expires 2 days from the day we went. As the Manager was away to get "permission", we had enough time to discuss about staying for his response or just leave...we agreed to just leave. I saw him speaking to someone in the front so I let him know we're going to just leave. Apparently, they didn't change their mind because they didn't stop us from leaving. They lost out on a sale they were running which would've included starters, drinks and desserts that wasn't on special AND future orders. Note: On the email, it does state "DOWNLOAD THE APP, ORDER & EARN REWARDS". Nowhere does it state "YOU NEED THE APP" in order to take advantage of the special so my thinking is that if you don't care about earning rewards, why download the app, right? I recently came in with my grandpa and aunty for my grandfathers 88th birthday and Kirsha was our server and i turned to my aunty and grandpa at least 5 days throughout our dinner to tell them how kind she is. My grandpa is hard of hearing and my aunt had a stroke about 20 years ago so her speech isn't the most clear. Kirsha was so kind and patient with us and consistently went the extra mile to see if we had everything we needed. From perfect timing on checking our food, to helping my aunty look up her rewards points. We stopped coming for a while to be honest but our dinner with Kirsha makes us want to come more often again. I am so incredibly grateful for her kindness and helping make my grandfathers birthday feel so special for him. I haven't seen him smile that big in a very long time. It was more than just a dinner for us and she made the experience so memorable the videos i was able to take of him with and his birthday cookie are videos me and my family will always cherish. This was my first time coming here. We come around 8pm, first impression was the place is a bit worn down. The smell of the carpet is a bit overwhelming. You can tell this place use to be a good spot. I do like that the booth chairs are high as it does add some privacy. Our waiter was nice but boy did he take forever to check on us, get our food, get the check and get our payment even after I said out loud okay here's the card (which he didn't even take right away). When I said I was ready to go, I was ready. It was almost 30 min to pay, I was already 10pm at this point. My husband said I can go to the car, as I was walking out I stopped by the front and asked the lady if we could just pay here because we don't know where the waiter is and she just kept asking who our waiter was and didn't want me to leave until she saw where we were sitting (which my husband and son was still sitting). Eventually the waiter come and took our card. Food wise: the cost for the meals weren't bad. The kids meal definitely was a big portion for the price, no complaints there. The potato skins (appetizer) was burnt on the outside and not fully cooked inside. We ate one and scoot it to the side, it was also a big portion. Streaks were made very well. It has a nice sear and it was still juicy. The cowboy cookie we had for dessert was delicious. Love the warm cookie and a nice cold vanilla ice cream. Would I come again? We knew going in that they were short staffed, since they said so when we arrived. We asked to sit in the bar area to get seated right away. We got seated, but they weren't kidding with the wait just to get a menu! If you have time to be leisurely with your meal, then you can have patience when they warn you about being short staffed. If you've never been here, it's good to know that the bar has a variety of seating, not just at the counter, but they have high tops and tables too. You had me at martini for their one night martini experience, which happened on 6/26. & I am torn between a 3 or 4 stars for my ratings, I'll go with the 4 stars since despite minor kine, I really enjoyed my overall dining experience. The good old Stuart Andersons days back when they were at the Ward Warehouse, I would frequent this place so often with high school friends, hubby during dating days, and with family before they closed the location for good. I am sure glad we have this chain restaurant but on the west side, I don't mind the drive out, to bring back some memories. hehe. Besides the garlic cheese bread, I miss the molasses bread and clam chowder! The restaurant does seem old and needs renovations, The parking is very crazy, not Black Angus' fault, the lot was full that night and I just noticed that we cannot park our vehicle in the open spaces anywhere at the lot, (Time's, back of lot) there are signs and security do patrol the area, in case your car gets towed. The parking spaces are small too. I am going to look for street parking next time to avoid this parking mess! We had 7:15 pm reservations and didn't get our table until pass 7:20 the hostess was getting forms ready for all her upcoming reservations, and the service was a bit slow, the bus boy kept taking our plates away, waited awhile for bread and ketchup, but on to the martini... hehe ** If you see the martini night experience, make plans for it, it is so worth it for the price! $54.99 come with 3 course pairing menu which includes starter, main and dessert, for the martini: limoncello martini, cucumber martini, and key lime pie martini. My favorite all time favorite drink is the lychee martini but these drinks are so good too! We also enjoyed the food that we got along with pairing, love that aioli sauce! Now, the question is did I get wasted, drinking all that martini, NO. It was a nice quick buzz but I am up for more martini. Haha. This is such a nice treat! Overall, we had a great dining experience and we will be back, for the next martini experience & next on the list for the campfire feast dinner for two. HORRIBLE Ordered at 8:30 pm , food didn't arrive until 9:30 pm. Parking is horrible and hostess never came to check on our table for 30 minutes . Never ever coming back to this restaurant. read more

Full disclosure: I'm not a steak fan. I came here with my husband and in-laws, who have been visiting this restaurant for decades. They clearly love it for the consistency and tradition, but I came in with a different perspective. Parking was already a challenge. The lot was packed, and while we eventually found a spot, it wasn't the most enjoyable start. Inside, the restaurant has that "classic American steakhouse" vibe with booths, wood-paneled walls, and horse-themed décor. For my in-laws, it's nostalgic; for me, it felt dark, dated, and worn down. The booths especially aren't my favorite -- once you slide in, you're trapped until everyone else moves. Service was fine but nothing remarkable. Our server took the orders and delivered food promptly. That's about it. On the positive side, they did have a kids' menu, booster seat, and crayons for my toddler, which was thoughtful. As for food, the highlights for me were the breaded zucchini appetizer and the mango margarita, which had a nice flavor. That said, the presentation left me underwhelmed. My drink was served in a very plain glass instead of a proper margarita glass. The kids' mac and cheese was disappointing: instead of a creamy sauce, it had a dry, crumbly cheese texture. My Cobb salad had a nice punch from the blue cheese, but the croutons tasted like they came out of a package instead of being freshly made. Everything here is served in large portions, and unsurprisingly, a lot ended up in to-go boxes. For families who enjoy hearty steakhouse classics and don't mind dated décor, I can see why this place has loyal fans. But for me, it just didn't click. read more
