If you want to wait over an hour for your food without notice on a Sunday night, then come here! Otherwise, AVOID this location as much as possible. The cashier/host was too overwhelmed with all the orders and customers. She was not of any help. She lost her cool in front of everyone. I understand that it was an unusually busy night. However, part of customer service is being able to anticipate issues like this and to kindly inform your customers of possible delays, WHICH WE NEVER RECEIVED! I also had 3 young kids in my party. My family and I love eating at Oh My Grill. We always leave with our bellies happy and full! This location is in Pearl City next to Cherry on Top/Foodland and there are tons of parking. I always get a mini beef stew which always makes me full despite it being the mini. I love the "create your own combo". I do that for my kids since they don't eat much and we usually make a combo with the BBQ chicken and fried chicken wings which are both awesome! The saimin is also good! The place is not that big but seats a pretty good amount of people. The chairs are really comfy! The employees are always nice and always accommodating. Don't be intimidated if you see a lot of people standing outside if you're dining in. It's better to just go in and see how long the wait is because there's a good chance the crowd of people are just waiting for their food and ordered take out instead! Last night we decided to dine in at oh my grill instead of taking it to go. I tried something different. It reminded me of my mom's caldareta and it did not disappoint. It was so delicious and was such a comfort food! I would definitely order it again. The gaugee was crispy, hot, and delicious. Although the wasabi sauce it was paired with was not something I enjoyed. This would've probably been better paired with a sweet chilli sauce. The trio plate wasn't bad either. We've tried a bunch of things on the menu here, and they're all great! From the hamburger steak to the mochiko chicken, and the orange chicken, awesome! I was about to sit down with my party until a guy greeted us and ask if we are dining in or take out. So as we sat down he took our order and within 5 min or so we got our food. Food was good. My husband and I were craving for their Teriyaki Cheeseburgers so we decided to dine in at their Pearl City location. You are greeted when you walk in because they ask if you want to dine in or take out. The atmosphere was nice, I like how comfortable the chairs were. We've tried their burgers before and we wanted to have them again. We ordered the burgers, the soup of the day which was potato soup and fried noodles with spam for our daughter. We wished all of our food came out at the same time but the burgers came out first. We ordered the noodles for our daughter and it came out way later. The server had to come by multiple times to apologize about the wait. The soup and noodles were okay. We took photos of these but forgot to take a photo of the burgers. We ate them so quick. Oh and with an in house bathroom so safe for elderly too. There is room for around 40- 50 people to be seated. I notice they do a good deal of takeout too. The staff is down to work. Mostly chinese with the chinese waitress ethic of "efficient but not friendly" but a bit more pleasant than chinese restaurants and service was good. All our food came within minutes of each other (very important when dining with others) The menu selection is huge (pic). Anywhere from hamburger steak....Chicken wings...burgers..salads...poke..the list goes on...Anyways the food is pretty much L&L on dinnerware but I gotta say their burger was surprisingly a lot better than average...seriously a real good burger!!. The chicken and kalbi were cooked perfect. The Teri beef was a little chewy but as a thin piece of meat, I feel like it would be hard not to be. Flavors were good, surprisingly each piece tasted different- the Teri beef was more ginger forward than the rest. I even really liked their Mac salad- it's more mayo forward than anything else but I prefer that over the sweeter ones. My husband also had the same opinion on the Kalbi as me but he did not like his garlic chicken. Flavor was good but it was insanely over fried to the point where the chicken inside was stringy. The portions are plentiful. Share a regular or opt for the mini if solo. Chicken katsu was crispy, a few chewy pieces that were difficult to bite. The curry wasn't very tasty as it lacked flavor. Mac salad was Mac salad & what can you say about rice? I appreciated their packing skills for the takeout. Curry was packed in a small container vs being dumped on the katsu. I had the beef stew and literally took 3 bites and couldn't eat any more. I did order a bowl and was surprised by the large portion but there were 3 pieces of beef of which I ate 1 1/2 because it was so fatty and grisly. There were 2 potatoes one really big one that I didn't bother touching because it had black spots in it and the other wasn't cooked long enough in my opinion. I also had one large carrot that needed more cook time. The base tasted like caned tomatoes paste and I actually had a glob of tomato paste stuck to one of the potatoes. I would not reccomend this dish. My son got the wagyu locomoco and he was pleased. The egg was cooked perfectly and the meat was well seasoned. The gravy was also a good texture and taste. Would order this again My daughter got the shrimp curry and it was tasty. There was a good amount of shrimp and they were cooked well. The curry was a nice texture and had a subtle spice. The katsu was great and chicken was on point, we just weren't really big fans of the liquidy sweet katsu sauce that it comes with. It's just preference, some like their sauce savory, others sweet. My mother in law got the regular laulau plate $15.99 and she said it was pretty good with a nice meat to greens ratio. Grandma ordered the mini kalua pork with cabbage for $10.99 and it was a lot of food for a mini. It looked like a regular with just one less scoop of rice. On to the garlic fried fish that I got with extra garlic and tossed greens instead of Mac salad for $14.50. The fish was lightly coated and seasoned well to ear on its own but that extra garlic just made it so delicious. This is now going to be one of my go to places to get garlic fish. Finally got a chance to stop in at their new location in Pearl City. There is lot's of shopping center parking. The restaurant is modern and clean with brand new everything, chairs, tables, and etc. The left side was of the restaurant was a little cold from the a/c that blew right on us. So we moved over to the right side. It was perfect. All the staff were friendly and greeted us when we walked in. We got a chance to meet the restaurant manager Chloe who was very nice and pleasant. We had the NY Steak and Garlic Shrimp. It was cooked perfectly to my liking. It was tasty and flavorful. The Garlic Shrimp was the bomb. Minced fresh garlic made the dish top notch. And you can't beat the price. Teri-Saimin was incredible. The soup base was perfect with the right amount of teriyaki flavor and generous size pieces of teriyaki beef. Food is good and priced reasonably. But with the way the economy is going these prices will not be reasonable that long. Service is decent. They do pay attention when customers need something.
