Probably an off night, I've eaten here before in this location and it was always good. Nice atmosphere clean and spacious. Service was good but I felt like the server and manager didn't do enough. We ordered the "Oh My Pac" x2 and both had the same results. The Shrimps batter was hard crispy and would just fall apart off the shrimp when just moving it. The inner part of the batter was wet and mushy, unpleasant taste. The shrimp didn't taste fresh. The Mochiko Chicken had a weird taste in the batter as well but the chicken itself was just ok. I felt the oil needed to be changed. After I told the server, no apologize was given and she did talk to the manager about it. Nothing was done afterwards. I felt like the manager should have approached and apologized to us or even compensate us a portion of the meal as good customer service. After watching Raina win the food eating contest. I said I have to go try their food. This must be one of the best hidden secrets! I took my family here and they didn't disappoint. It's definitely a hidden gem! It is in a plaza with plenty parking. The inside is not huge. It had about 9-12 tables. The restaurant is open concept. It gave a cozy family vibe. We had my mother-in-law with us who has a wheelchair. So we had to wait until a table was available that would be accessible for her wheelchair. We got the table and placed the orders. Glad we decided to try here for a late lunch after an 11 am movie. There was one large table of 6 men and us. In a matter of minutes lots of tables were filled with people coming to pick up orders and place take out orders. Cute logo on their salt and pepper canisters. Cute little place in a shopping plaza. Parking can be tricky as spots always seem full. Got in and there were a couple open tables that filled while we waited for our food. We were there for dinner. Placed our order and I was impressed by how quickly the food arrived and how hot it was. I burned my mouth even after letting it sit a minute and blowing on it. That doesn't happen often. I had the fried fish with fries. Also ordered the crab rangoon. My granddaughter had the orange chicken. My son and daughter-in-law had the combo meat plate and my grandson had the chicken katsu with fries. The food is good comfort food. Nothing to write home about except it does seem reasonably priced compared to other spots we've been to. That's a big plus in my book and something that would draw me back. I'm not sure I would order the crab Rangoon again. They tasted fine and were large. They just don't serve them with any type of dipping sauce. Super disappointed with the crazy service tonight. I placed an order outside using the kiosk for just a chicken katsu special at 5:52 PM since it was crowded inside and ended up waiting 45 minutes for that one plate. It wasn't just the waiting, it was the service and lack of communication that pushed it over. After placing my order, I entered the restaurant and waited on the side since there wasn't a place to sit and wait. The worker who was stationed at the front soon came back and asked "How can I help you?" and I mentioned that I ordered on the kiosk outside and she walked away without saying anything. Around 10 minutes in I noticed the worker mentioning to every person in line only after they tried to order that the wait would be 30 minutes for anything on the grill since they had a big order. The questions that came to mind every time a person attempted to order was "why wouldn't she tell them that they would have to wait 30 minutes from the beginning before they even tried to order so they could reevaluate if their orders needed the grill?" And "what items are not on the grill?" Every person in line would get frustrated as she wouldn't even show what items didn't need the grill.. They would say "Okay I want to order this instead" and she would keep saying "that's on the grill so you have to wait 30 minutes." Like they were supposed to know.. Who wouldn't get frustrated? Time went on and I found myself still waiting at 6:30 PM. When i heard her mentioning the chicken katsu wouldn't take long since it's not on the grill. No update, just me sitting on those high chairs obviously waiting for my order. It's worse because you don't get a buzzer for using the kiosk. I decided to ask about my order but still had to wait in line to talk to that same worker. When it was eventually my turn, I said "I wanted to check on my order" and showed her a picture of the kiosk with the order number because the kiosk didn't print a receipt for me and rudely responded with "Your order's already ready" and just handed it to me.. Excuse me? No one even bothered to tell me it was ready and she spoke to me like I was supposed to know it was ready. How long was it ready that I was wasting my time waiting there? Also, please fix the option on the kiosk when you select the chicken katsu; it should have the option or be defaulted with "White rice & mac salad" like your app. The kiosk is misleading and doesn't say you don't need to select "all rice" or the other up-charge options. So when she gave it to me and she said all rice I explained to her that I thought it was making me choose an option and she got defensive and said "No it doesn't." She eventually took it to the back to put mac salad then returned and rudely told me "Next time just don't select an option." Wow. It was not my fault that no one called me to tell me my order was ready. It was not my fault there was a flood of orders during dinner time. I like Oh My Grill but please do better with the customer service, especially with the person who's in charge at the front. I understand that it gets overwhelming when it's busy but the communication and customer service was just the worst. No one deserves to be treated like that especially when we come often. This was such a horrible experience.. Maybe won't come back for a while. read more

Our food came quickly, although it was almost lunch we came at a good time. We ordered the Hazelnut coffee float, acai bowl, garlic chicken, small French fries and a musubi. The fries were 10/10, I think the best fries I've ever had!!!!!!! I killed them lol they're so crispy and just the way I like them. I was afraid at first with no sauces but the food was tasty on its own and the rice was a good compliment! There are many drink options, and they serve water with meals. The place itself is cute and cozy. The food? Unfortunately regret spending almost $100 for my family. Everything that was fried tasted like old oil. Food was lacking in the flavor category. Fried chicken plate comes sliced like mochiko chicken, but in menu pics looks like a regular fried chicken plate with thighs. Which it is NOT. Kids were also disappointed with flavorless food. The restaurant has a pretty spacious parking lot, which is always a plus, especially when it's busy. We came on a Monday night, and it was a little crowded but nothing too crazy. One thing I wasn't too happy about was the bathroom situation. There's no bathroom inside, but they give you a key to use a locked bathroom outside. Honestly, it was pretty old and not very clean, which was disappointing. The menu has a lot of options, but I went with the combo--garlic fish and chicken katsu curry. The portions were massive (definitely will fill you up), but the food itself didn't wow me. The curry was just okay, nothing special, and the garlic fish was really salty. It came with two cups of rice, which was nice, but the mac salad was bland and forgettable. We also tried the crab rangoons, and while they were super crispy, the dipping sauce wasn't my favourite. It just didn't go well with the rangoons, in my opinion. The service was fine. We had to wait a little bit because we were a party of six, but the staff was friendly and didn't take too long. Inside, the restaurant is bright and clean, so it's a pleasant place to eat. The food is inexpensive, and you'll definitely get full. But honestly, I'm not sure I'd come back. The lady told me to do a combo instead so I did and I ended up having my cold ginger chicken with my shrimp curry and let me tell you that sucker is a winner! The shrimp had really good flavor. I think I had five pieces of shrimp and there is a huge piece of potato and a huge piece of carrot and OH MAN... that's how I actually love my stews and my curry is with large pieces of vegetables but it has to be super soft to wear if I poked my fork in it it actually slips right through the whole entire thing and that's what happened! That is why I'm very very pleased with my dinner tonight. Except for the ginger chicken sauce. That was a bit sour & smelt bad. I left on the side. My husband he had the garlic chicken and that was like really delicious served HOT! So I think if you're gonna order garlic chicken, you have to make sure that you eat it fast enough to where the food is still hot or take it home and then reheat it in the microwave. The only really disappointing thing for me was... They don't have Coke products! That's my only biggest issue. The fact that they don't sell Coca-Cola and I really need a Coke so bad. It's very cozy, but they did have a table set in the middle for big group and then tables and benches and chairs around the sides of the wall, which looks like it could fit about maybe 30 to 40 peoplE. A lot of people like it a lot and I can't say anything bad really just that they don't serve Coke. And I mean Coke as in the Coca-Cola product guys. They have so much choices it's WONDERFUL! They also have a menu outside the restaurant so people can view it as they walk past. They also have a little corner inside their restaurant where it's a waiting area for those who order to go. It's set up really nice and cute! I think my kids would love it if they had to wait for their order over there. My 3 year old baby would just sit and observe the decor. Oh! they do give you a 3% discount if you pay in cash. And then they have this card thing that if you spend $10 or more in cash you get a stamp and then I guess if you fill up a card, you can get a free gift or a prize or something. I totally forgot to ask for one of those stamp cards so I missed out on three stamps tonight. Yeah I know I wanted to go back in to ask for the card because it was a guy who cashed me out. I was in the area and wanted to get a relatively fast dinner. The menu is a mix of local foods and barbecue. Prices are what you would expect and the inside was clean and bright. Workers were friendly and service was fast. I decided to get the BBQ mixed plate which comes with kalbi-style ribs, beef and chicken. The ribs and beef were thin cut which also means it was not tough. The taste is your typical local style teriyaki sauce that is on the sweeter side. The chicken thigh did not have a much flavor as the other two meats probably because it was thicker. The plate also came with two scoops of rice and a scoop of macaroni salad. We walk-in at 11:05 pm and we were greeted to "are you guys planning on dining in"? We answered yes, the employee informed us that the dine in area is closed. Have we known the dine in area closed 55 minutes prior to 12 pm. We wouldn't drive all the way from Waikiki. It was such a bummer. The chicken katsu plate is a good deal... but it didn't come with katsu sauce. Nothing was said about adding sauce so maybe they forgot? It was my first time ordering from there so I really don't know. We also got chunks of hard rice in 1 of the rice scoops. My kids share a katsu plate so we need all the scoops- So that was pretty disappointing. The garlic fish was pretty good tho. Good portion sizing on both plates.
