Probably an off night, I've eaten here before in this location and it was always good. Nice atmosphere clean and spacious. Service was good but I felt like the server and manager didn't do enough. We ordered the "Oh My Pac" x2 and both had the same results. The Shrimps batter was hard crispy and would just fall apart off the shrimp when just moving it. The inner part of the batter was wet and mushy, unpleasant taste. The shrimp didn't taste fresh. The Mochiko Chicken had a weird taste in the batter as well but the chicken itself was just ok. I felt the oil needed to be changed. After I told the server, no apologize was given and she did talk to the manager about it. Nothing was done afterwards. I felt like the manager should have approached and apologized to us or even compensate us a portion of the meal as good customer service. I am really disappointed how they handle this matter.

Mochiko chicken & garlic shrimp. I wouldn't order the shrimp again

Our first time here and it was a Friday night. Got seated immediately & food came out quickly. Our server was very nice. She even walked with me to the bathroom because I had a hard time opening the door. I enjoyed the spam fried noodles. It may be a bit too salty for some but it was perfect for me. There were generous with the spam which was great. My husband had the Mochiko chicken & garlic shrimp combo. The chicken was good but didn't like the shrimp. It had a fishy previously frozen taste. But, I am picky about my shrimp. The chicken katsu was good. It's a simple dish so it's basically the same everywhere it's served.

The food here is delicious! AND The portions are great for your buck! The ambience is chill and casual and they do a good job at keeping their locations nice a clean. Service during this visit was excellent. And for those who don't know they have the cutest design on their take out bag for like 38 cents or something like that totally worth it. They have a points rewards system too where you collect enough points you can trade it for their cute trinket prizes they have displayed up front. Get those points!

CANT STOP UNTIL YOU GET ENOUGH!!! Well, i dont think i'll ever stop and ever get enough... Comfort, combinations & a consistent product keep me coming back to this joint... This time i was lazy and Door-Dashed my food...even after a delivery, the food was still hot and delicious.

After watching Raina win the food eating contest. I said I have to go try their food. This must be one of the best hidden secrets! I took my family here and they didn't disappoint. It's definitely a hidden gem! It is in a plaza with plenty parking. The inside is not huge. It had about 9-12 tables. The restaurant is open concept. It gave a cozy family vibe. We had my mother-in-law with us who has a wheelchair. So we had to wait until a table was available that would be accessible for her wheelchair. We got the table and placed the orders. The menu was huge it had so many options and offered mix and matches. Which was good but the best part was the prices and portions. The candle on the cake was the food was good. There is no restroom in the restaurant but the plaza does have a restroom across the street.

    Their Saimin is very good,

Didn't have to wait long to be seated so that was great. The service is pleasant the workers are fast to take your order and the portions are huge and delicious. Very nice restaurant very clean and welcoming. Very busy place with non-stop people arriving to dine in or pick up take out, testament to how great they are.

You can ordered take out at the window or sit in at tables. The seating is clean, bright and whimsical. Service is fast and friendly even tho there was only 3 workers. Ordered chicken cutlet curry which came with rice and green salad or mac. The cutlet was tender. The photo was a mini plate. Which was alot of food. Curry was mild and not the sweet Japanese curry. Mix plate came with teriyaki beef, hamburger patty, beef curry or beef stew, rice and mac. Curry over rice with 1/4 size potato and carrot. I liked the curry because it was a mild and not sweet Japanese curry. There was a little heat. Just enough. Tried the coffee sherbert. It was really good. Pros: Nice and clean place. Alot of food. Friendly service. Comfortable seats. Con: not much sitting so go early or be prepared to wait. Would I return? You bet I will.

Glad we decided to try here for a late lunch after an 11 am movie. There was one large table of 6 men and us. In a matter of minutes lots of tables were filled with people coming to pick up orders and place take out orders. Cute logo on their salt and pepper canisters. They give a free black bag for our left overs to take home. My mini shrimp curry was just right for lunch. The milk tea I asked to have it in a take out cup was perfect- not sweet. Hubs ordered chicken katsu. Portion was generous so he took half plus my rice and Mac salad with his to go. Good option. Glad they are here. Good luck and wishing you lots of business.

Price is nice , perfect portions worth the price . Services was great considering it was Father's Day June 21, 2026 and it was crazy busy 1-10 I'll give it a 8 for service .. food was amazing I had the beef special, hamburger steak with teriyaki steak over beef curry and Mac salad.. 1-10 I'll give it a 9 considering the wait because of Father's Day.. so now you don't have to take my word for it get here and check it out for yourself !! One of the best grinds for your buck $$ .. mahalos oh my grill , till we meet again , aloha and a hui hou malama Pono..

So first time trying Oh my grill They have super reasonable prices. Shirley was our serve that was very knowledgeable of all the items on the menu, providing awesome customer service and recommendations. I got the Waygu loco moco and it was great. Will most definitely be back to try the other items

Chicken katsu was ok. Expected it to be better since I had it from McCully location and it was good.

Ordered online pick up. Chicken katsu plate is a good deal. Had it before from another location so expected the same consistency. Unfortunately it wasn't as good. Something about the katsu was off. I think they needed to cook it a tad longer.

Tasty garlic fish was very nice not oily light white fish mini plate was just enough

Food quality: consistently tasty local favorites Chinese style local favorites Convenience: Good Late night grinds hard to find Prices: fair representation for quality and quantity Service: caring staff ; staff knowledgeable about the varied menu, each time I discovered accurate descriptions and recommendations Location: easily accessible in Aiea across from Pearlridge Shopping Mall Restaurant quality: bright Clean tables clean floor, Atmosphere: Welcoming mellow but happy atmosphere considerate diners Mid volume conversation very low key casual local atmosphere Tourists could get an idea of local style foods What did I order? Wagyu local moco all Rice, no mac Minute chicken cake noodle Garlic fish, mini size one scoop rice, one scoop macsalad Everything tasty I wish I had ordered only rice; forgot that I'm not a fan of their Mac salad... I think the cake noodle was prepared the best that I've had because it was not oily but crispy on the outside tender noodle on the inside made fresh and the texture was better than others. I tried it dry before pouring over the gravy because we ordered it to go and they packed it nicely with the cake noodle and chicken separate container from the gravy. I wish I had a picture of the cake noodle. It was very nice.

Teriyaki beef saimin, Chili fries, Dry Saimin
    Satoko K.

Reasonable price and decent food. Tastes not bad, so I thought I'd come back and try different foods until I found a bug in my saimin. I found it after I ate most of it. So I didn't claim any refund or replacement. Their customer service was nice. I'm just skeptical about their cleanliness at the kitchen.

Since I paid an extra $3.50 for my onion rings I was very disappointed. Only plus is they were nice and crunchy. Hubby's burger and fries were hot, so my order must have been made first and then just sat there for a while. Hubby was happy with his meal since it was hot and cooked medium as he ordered. Not happy. First time I gave them only three stars.

I would say that Forty Niner is a great place to get the bang for your buck in terms of pricing for their food, but I will say that the quality of the food isn't as great as it's presented on their ordering site, Beluga. Today, my husband and I chose to do takeout and ordered three things: The Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, Chorizo Hash, and the Molokai Loco Moco. For the Lemon Ricotta Pancakes, the lemon taste was pretty concentrated in the middle of the pancake/not well distributed and we couldn't really taste the ricotta flavor, but it was pleasantly sweet (not too sweet). For the Chorizo Hash, I was a little bit sad that it wasn't very flavorful and the Chorizo wasn't well cooked. The Molokai Loco Moco's flavor receives the same review as the Chorizo Hash; although it was special/the first time we'd had Loco Moco like that, it was pretty soggy/watery and lacked flavor. The food itself in my opinion gets a 3.5/5, but because they were timely and friendly as a staff, I'm bumping our review up to a 4! I took off two stars because I ordered the same grilled cheese that I did the day before, had a great experience and it was night and day this time around. The one I had in Kapolei was able to melt the cheese, but this one didn't even seem like they tried...so I asked if they could make it again. Understandably, when I asked if they could make it again, they asked what was wrong and I told them the cheese wasn't melted, which sets my expectations for the next one. They made another one (begrudgingly) and I got the same results as far as the cheese. But at least this one was warm so more heat did hit the cheese, but just not enough to melt it per my request. Other than my sad grilled cheese (that wasn't grilled) the fries were great and my friends who got actual burgers were very happy with their food.

But our second time was a mellow Wednesday for lunch and while the timing was better (still not synced), the food was either meh or completely shameful. Yes, shameful! Wife got the Caesar salad with char siu chicken katsu. The chicken was ono but the salad was lazy. Basic greens with a low-quality bottled sauce squeezed on top. No wonder it came out five minutes before mine. I got the fish tacos with tots (extra $2), and this dish was the most egregious rip off I've ever seen in a restaurant. No wonder the server dropped it and ran. For $18, I got three street taco-sized flour tortillas, goopy mayo-laden "slaw", and pico with a teeny tiny piece of fish on top. See the pics! Smaller than my thumb. Barely two tater tots in size. And because it was plopped into mayo slaw, it was soggy on arrival. The fish was also suspiciously fishy tasting. I debated eating it. I ended up making one taco with all the fish and a potato taco with some tots before finally giving up. I know things are tough for restaurants right now. But this was ridiculous. I paid and left and called it a lesson learned. I'll likely stick to the Pucks Alley location from now on. Still some pride in what they serve there.

Great flavors with a crunchy texture. The joong or zong zhi was mochi rice with pork and preserved egg. If you were looking for home style sticky rice, you got it here with a bit of a light sauce. The preserved egg brings back memories of Popo's kitchen/ your childhood. We tried Taiwan tofu pudding for dessert. You should order it even if you order nothing else. Perfect for two. Silky tofu in a slightly sweet sauce with shaved ice, boba and peanuts combine for a perfect dessert. Not heavy and just sweet enough to tempt a non-dessert person. A return to this restaurant is always warranted! Give it a try!

The menu has a nice variety of authentic Taiwanese options, and the portions were satisfying. The atmosphere was clean, cozy, and had a relaxed vibe that made it easy to enjoy the meal. The reason I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the service could have been a little more attentive, and a couple of dishes didn't quite wow me as much as I expected for the price. Even so, I'd definitely come back to try more of the menu. If you're looking for quality Taiwanese food on Oahu, Fooki is worth a visit. Forgot to capture few pics

Very pleased with a last minute party order! I was on the hunt for fried udon and came across New…read moreTown Cafe in Aiea. I remember loving the previous restaurant that occupied this spot (Asian Grindz), so I decided to give New Town Cafe a try. I called the day before to order a small party pan of Fried Udon, and wow - it was really good! They were very generous with the beef, udon, and veggies. Unfortunately, the whole reason I ordered fried udon was to avoid eggs for my nephew, but I completely forgot to mention that when I placed the order... oops! Lol! He just skipped the noodles that day, but the adults were more than happy to enjoy his share for him! When I called to ask about pickup, I was hoping for 10am, but was told the earliest it could be ready was 10:30. I said, "Shux! I'll already be back in Ewa Beach by then, so it's okay." To my surprise, the woman on the phone offered to have it ready earlier, and we settled on 10:15 instead. I really appreciated her willingness to accommodate my schedule. As we were heading to the pickup, the same woman called letting me know my order was ready - it was almost 10am on the dot! Early!! She was also very friendly at the pickup window, which made the experience even better. The pricing was fair too - $60 for a small party pan. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu... and especially for another order of that delicious Fried Udon! Thank you to the New Town Cafe staff for the prompt and accommodating service! :)

Before it became…read moreNewtown Cafe, I used to love eating here when it was Newtown Asian Grindz, so I was looking forward to coming back. We ordered the cold ginger chicken, loco moco, pork chop with gravy, and sesame balls. I have to say, I really miss the cold boneless ginger chicken the way it used to be made. It was one of my favorite dishes here. Unfortunately, the food just didn't have the flavor I was hoping for. The pork chop in particular tasted a little off to me, and instead of the Chinese-inspired flavors I remembered, the dishes felt more like local comfort food with a bit of Chinese flair. The overall experience also felt a little lacking in warmth and friendliness. I know many restaurants are facing challenging times, and it's never my intention to leave a low review. I genuinely want local businesses to succeed. But one thing I've learned throughout my food journey is that when food is made with love, you can taste it. It's more than just the ingredients--it's the care, pride, and aloha that come with it. And when that feeling is missing, you notice it too. This is simply my honest experience. No hate, just Queenie keeping it real. I'm hoping this was just an off day, and I truly wish them the best moving forward.
