I live around the area and decided to stop by after the gym and wow the food was amazing. No only that the customer service was great, I didn't get her name but she was a young girl and was super sweet and accommodating even after we accidentally dropped our water, sorry :/. The inside is super cute and clean. Definitely will stop by again.

Went to Haruya Ramen for the first time on May 24. I went at dinner time, there was only one other party there (group of 4). The restaurant is a decent size, plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. They played some great music! Lots of R&B oldies that I enjoyed while eating. This place only has 3 ramen options - tonkotsu, miso, and veggie. I tried the miso ramen with chicken, and the spicy cucumber salad. The miso ramen was ok, I had to add a lot of their house spicy sauce to give it some flavor. The ramen noodles themselves were thick, a lot thicker than I've had anywhere else. Were kind of tricky for me to pick them up and grip them with my chopsticks. The spicy cucumber salad was super SUPER garlicky. I guess that's what they meant by spicy? It was overly garlicky. Also, I drink lots of water, and they serve water to you in the tiniest plastic cup I've ever seen. The poor waitress had to constantly come over to refill my little cup. Overall, this wasn't my fave ramen (my go-to is Silverlake Ramen) so I prob won't be back here. I'm glad I finally gave them a try though, you never know until you try.

Stopped by here randomly! My partner wanted a shake from next door (Johnny rockets who was out of ice cream) so I walked in to order To go after seeing the menu posted on the window. The space is dim lit but not too dark and is inviting but private. The hostess / cashier was friendly and very kind! She helped me woth my couple questions since I'd never been in before and have a few dietary restrictions. My soup was done pretty fast and packed and ready to go! AND LET ME TELL YOU sooooooo yummy! The broth was warm and delicious and all the add ins were nutritious! The best part was how full I was after finishing the whole thing !! They have Ramune as a drink option and some spicy house sauce that I ordered on the side. All in all FAST, friendly and fresh! I'll def be back!! (Soup and ramune was about $22)

3 stars This restaurant is conveniently located right off of Fremont Ave. and they have plenty of free parking to choose from. I think I came here for a later-than-usual dinner a while back. I ordered the restaurant's most popular item - Tonkatsu Ramen w/ pork slices ($15.99). I thought the ramen was ok and tasted as expected. The broth might be a little saltier than I'd prefer, but it was still delicious. Pork slices were thin and tender. The marinated egg was delicious. The noodles were a perfect al dente. However, I don't think I'd rate them better than Silverlake Ramen or Ramen Nagi. The interior of the restaurant isn't much to write home about, but it's comfortable. The portion size at this price point is small to me. So, for that, I'd rate this ramen spot as average. If I ever come back to try other menu items, I'll update this review.

Ok, I know some other reviewers have talked about how their broth isn't as rich and thick and whatnot. But here's my experience. This thick rich heavy broth thing came from the hype of Daikokuya and Tsujita like, 15 or so years ago, and then, for some reason, that became the standard of "good" ramen. I honestly never enjoyed those ramens. For me, I've always liked the simple shio ramen from Santouka, and generally prefer ramen with lighter brother, and this one is great. Light, delicious. Oh, and their house chili sauce? Watch out. That thing will burn a hole through your stomach. The vegan ramen is also really light and delicious. And on the tofu (in the vegan ramen) and the chashu in the tonkatsu, there is a light sear on the outside that gives it this really delicious charcoal taste. Lovely. Service was quick and easy, and the ambience is very casual and chill. Very glad that there is a spot that is close to home.

Tonkatsu with pork is very delicious here. The soup is not your typical clear broth, they are creamy bursting with flavors. Our party also tried the Miso based ramen and their Kaarage. The lady who took our order is very attentive to our needs. She kept refilling our glasses with icy water and service came really fast. Yes! I would recommend it. The menu is simple and not a whole lot of selection, but they were able to focus on what they do offer. We plan to come back next time we're in town.

Got the miso butter cause it said new on the menu. I didnt realize that the noodles would be different. I definitely prefer the thinner one. I didnt remember reading anything on the menu saying it was going to be a different one. I wished there was an option or someone would've told us. I also asked for no beansprouts and it still came with beansprouts but my friends order did not. Also ordered the egg on the side because the miso didn't have egg and it was basically frozen.. please see photo.. Im pretty sure it shouldn't be that way. Friend got extra bamboo shoots and said it was cold too

I love how low key this place it's in a little hidden corner the service is always good so far everyone has been friendly. This ramen spot seriously blew me away. The tonkatsu ramen was rich, creamy, and packed with deep pork flavor without feeling too heavy. The broth tasted like it had been simmering for hours, and the noodles had the perfect chewy texture. The chashu was tender and practically melted in my mouth, and the toppings balanced everything perfectly. If you're a fan of tonkatsu ramen, this place is an absolute must try. I'm already looking forward to coming back. Also the starters big portions and the house spicy sauce slaps!

Came here for lunch and it's such a cute spot. Very sleek, very modern. Service was great! The girl at the front was so nice! We ended up getting 2 tonkotsu ramens, one chicken, one pork and a side order of beef gyoja. Everything was delicious and pipping hot. Tons of parking in the back. Would definitely come back if I'm in the area.

Stopped by this ramen spot the other day and overall had a solid experience. The broth is on the lighter side-- not too heavy but also not too flavorful. The spicy sauce is served on the side per request and is essential to flavoring the bowl of ramen. Add with care, too much can be overwhelming. They don't skimp on the noods, there was more than I expected . The texture was nice--chewy but not overcooked. Tried the chicken karaage on the side and it was good. Crispy, seasoned and moist. Service was great and attentive. All in all, a good ramen fix if you're in the area.

What's New in the SGV?!?! Tucked in Alhambra, there is a new ramen joint called Haruya Ramen and I love it! The tonkatsu ramen broth boldly creamy and rich without being too salty and best served with thin ramen noodles . The miso ramen just got added to menu as I learned that it was best served with thicker ramen noodles because of how the flavorful broth coats each slippery noodle. I loved their chicken karaage along with their crispy octopus, each of those items is served with a spring mix salad & onion dressing. What also surprised me is your spicy pork bowls. SECRET MENU TIP: GET THE SPICY CHILI MIX on the side. Oh it's kickin spicy and yummy as it is chopped fresh chilies that cut through all of that rich broth. The service from Irene is best and you can't help but simply her. Come check out @haruyaramen ! PS: This spot got just their alcohol license and I was told the ramen goes with a nice ice cold beer. Let me know what you think and if you don't drink, add them on the socials for a free soda. Visual review: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DH-JnCLRCA1/?igsh=NTc4MTIwNjQ2YQ==

Miso Ramen, Tonkotsu Ramen, Garlic Edamame
    Courtney T.

Honestly a solid ramen spot, it's kind of a small place but I wouldn't mind dining again. I got the garlic edamame, miso ramen and my friend got the tonkotsu ramen. The house spicy sauce is more of a paste rather than that saucy consistency.

The…read moreother two ordered tsukemen ($26.50 for the spicy deluxe and $23.50 for the spicy chasu) and found it very salty because they chose to consume it not by dipping the noodles in the bowl of broth, but rather by pouring all the broth from the bowl into the noodles, trying to recreate a normal bowl of ramen. I can't speak for them, but I will say, if you order the tsukemen and find that you want more dipping broth, that will be an extra charge. Order a regular bowl of ramen if you do not plan to dip the brothless noodles into the broth for each bite. BF and I both tried the spicy tuna bowl ($7.95), chashu bowl ($8.95), and tonkotsu ramen ($15.95). The bowls are a little smaller than the ramen bowls and are a great option if you want a light meal without feeling super full. The tonkotsu ramen had a slightly rich broth that was flavorful and a decent portion of noodles. We opted not to order the ramen with the egg since we were also trying the rice bowls. The three items were more than enough for the two of us and a good variety of food. Parking here is horrible at the street level, so head downstairs for the two levels of underground parking.

I know they owned Killer Noodle and brought it back for a day or so during some weeks, but still. I feel like I can partly blame those who can't handle spice, numbing or not, and or people with generally normie tastes. Anyways, enough of that diatribe. Parking can get horrible and fisted here, even though there's parking in the pit. The best bet is to just park at the 99 Ranch Market across the street and walk over. This restaurant also gets super busy too and there's limited tables and seating inside for how popular it is. They did collabs too, like the Naruto one. There were instructions on how to properly eat tsukemen and staff was friendly and polite too. I know they tried to make the ambiance a bit nicer and fancier, but with the constant slew of customers and people, you can only do so much. Since it's a tsukemen restaurant, I always just got tsukemen here. I'd get the spicy chashu tsukemen. Comes with a generous portion of chashu pork and is made with their homemade spices. It also comes with a soft boiled egg, a slice of lime to squeeze in for taste, green onions and a sheet nori. After dipping the noodles, you can ask for soup wari to eat the rest of the broth in. It's a delicious and hefty portion and sorta justifies the $30 for a bowl of tsukemen thing. Flavorful broth with a depth of delicious spices. Nice thick noodles that absorb the broth nicely. I like that you get a good amount of chashu. Adding the lime makes the noodles a bit more refreshing if you get a bit tired of the taste. Spicy doesn't make it spicy at all, but at the very least gave a bit of heat to it. There's other Tsujitas out there, just now a bit farther.
