Decided to sit outside as the weather was super nice. It wasn't too busy so we were able to order rather quickly. Decided on the fried mahi tacos which came with rice and beans and a guava margarita. First thing I noticed about this place is you have to pay for chips and salsa and they do not give you a large amount. I had the strawberry margarita which was really good! I also had the chicken flautas. While they were fairly wet from the chicken they had good flavor. Service was good. Will come back again just for the margarita! read more

My friend recently moved to Redwood City and Margaritas is within walking distance of her apartment. We sat outside but there was plenty of indoor seating available. I had the crab enchiladas and she had the chicken tacos. The crab enchiladas were good but a bit salty for my taste. My friend ended up taking leftovers of the tacos home. The interior is full of decorations. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Baja Burrito (3/5): This was a seafood burrito with prawns, fish, scallops and rice. It's topped with melted cheese. The seafood portion is good. The scallops could've been cooked longer though. I also didn't expect it to be a wet burrito with tomatillo sauce. It isn't my first choice when it comes to burritos. I just moved to the Bay Area and I've already been to Margaritas TWICE! I can't get enough. The food, service, ambiance and margaritas are superb. The outdoor patio is very pleasant with plenty of shade and a great location in downtown Redwood City. I've tried the tofu tacos and vegan burrito, both of which were amazing. I love that there is a whole plant based section on the menu. The guacamole is so fresh and tasty and is a perfect appetizer or snack. The servers are so attentive and will make you feel like family. But most of all, I love the La Margarita with strawberry. It's so delicious and refreshing! They have a huge selection of margaritas but it will be hard for me to try anything else but the strawberry. If you're looking for a good time, try margaritas! read more

The only problem I have with the place was the music that was being played. It was was so monotonous. Definitely not dinner eating music. Came here spontaneously before going to the movie theatre. Ordered the X-rated margarita frozen, no salt. It was delicious! To eat, my partner and I shared the quesabirria tacos and they were delicious. What made this experience five stars was our server. I should have gotten his name but didn't. He was phenomenal. Redwood City has an abundance of Mexican restaurants, but this one isn't it. Service is slow and servers are unattentive. We were constantly flagging them down for things (placing our order, water, condiments, the check). The servers were never really around. When the food finally came, the protein especially the steak was overly salty. I was constantly chugging down water the rest of the day after this meal. Prices are on the higher end. Two tacos for $17?! Beware of the upcharge here on certain condiments. We were charged $2 for a spoonful of pico de gallo and $1.50 for sour cream. Food is quite good -- but watch your bill! On ours, there was an unidentified charge for $2. When I asked, I was told it was for the meat on my burrito -- but the menu mentions no such thing, Our server was helpful, but had to call the boss to remove the charge, so I'm guessing that this extra charge is standard. This place is a solid Mexican place in town. Their chips are very good, thick and crunchy, and they have a large menu. The service is great and they make great large sized margaritas. A very large portion that I shared with my husband . We both really enjoyed it. 2 of the folks in our party ordered the Carnitas dinner . They were very satisfied with their meal . The pork was tender no fat on the meat and a bit crispy. Just like it should be prepared:) The guest of honor really enjoys the Crab enchiladas here. I said they were perfect and not to fishy . Another member of party had the Chili Verde, which he said was very good . His wife had the Taco plate . She also said it was very good. She said their refried beans were especially good . I had the Chicken Salad . The chicken was tender and it was flavorful with lots of fresh veggies . For our friends BDay our waiter brought out Flan with a candle .
