Crab Enchiladas & Chips and Salsa
    Laura E.

My friend recently moved to Redwood City and Margaritas is within walking distance of her apartment. We sat outside but there was plenty of indoor seating available. I had the crab enchiladas and she had the chicken tacos. The crab enchiladas were good but a bit salty for my taste. My friend ended up taking leftovers of the tacos home. She had a margarita, which she enjoyed. Server was friendly and brought our food out quickly. If we go back, I'd try their chilaquiles.

    Baja Burrito

My friend and I have been trying to eat our way through downtown Redwood City and on Saturday night we decided to have dinner at Margaritas. It was pretty empty at 7 pm so no problem getting a table. The interior is full of decorations. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. Baja Burrito (3/5): This was a seafood burrito with prawns, fish, scallops and rice. It's topped with melted cheese. The seafood portion is good. The scallops could've been cooked longer though. I also didn't expect it to be a wet burrito with tomatillo sauce. It isn't my first choice when it comes to burritos. It was a bit pricey but the portion size was good. There is a good variety on the menu so there is a lot to try. It was a good try. I am not sure if I'll be back but maybe.

Great food and excellent service! Our first time there. Love the outdoor seating. The staff were very attentive. We'll certainly be back!

    Strawberry margaritas

I just moved to the Bay Area and I've already been to Margaritas TWICE! I can't get enough. The food, service, ambiance and margaritas are superb. The outdoor patio is very pleasant with plenty of shade and a great location in downtown Redwood City. I've tried the tofu tacos and vegan burrito, both of which were amazing. I love that there is a whole plant based section on the menu. The guacamole is so fresh and tasty and is a perfect appetizer or snack. The servers are so attentive and will make you feel like family. But most of all, I love the La Margarita with strawberry. It's so delicious and refreshing! They have a huge selection of margaritas but it will be hard for me to try anything else but the strawberry. If you're looking for a good time, try margaritas!

    Quesabirria delicious !!

Came here spontaneously before going to the movie theatre. Ordered the X-rated margarita frozen, no salt. It was delicious! To eat, my partner and I shared the quesabirria tacos and they were delicious. What made this experience five stars was our server. I should have gotten his name but didn't. He was phenomenal. Just very kind and happy / joyful and just seemed to be happy to be here. It warmed my heart to see so much joy in someone and just like negative energy is contagious, so is positive energy. I'll be back for sure. Also it was a nice day so they had the entire restaurant like open to the outside so we sat indoors but basically open to the outside if that makes sense

Margarita with Reposado, not that great.

We have come here many times over the years! I am sorry to say the food NOW lacks flavor. Not at all what we expected. We understand it's under new management. Service is also slow. Restaurant is very nicely decorated and feels festive.

    Carne Asada Tacos

We finally found some amazing Mexican food in San Carlos area! The combo fajitas was a wonderful mixture of beef, chicken & shrimp and they didn't skimp on the shrimp! The carne asada tacos were filled with an abundance of flavorful beef. Rice & beans were authentic. Guacamole could have had a little more flavor. Skinny margaritas were delicious! It was a beautiful evening so we sat outside on the patio, service was great. We will definitely return and highly recommend.

    The molcajete!
    Trisha R.

Ok! This is absolutely the spot to go! Our waiter Miguael was amazing! Very attentive and always had a smile on his face! The food was Deee-licious! I had the MOLCAJETE COMBINADO. It looked like food in a lava bowl! It was spicy, yet sweet and the shrimp and steak was cooked to perfection! It was pretty spectacular when they brought it out! Steaming and boiling like a volcano! My fiancé had the fajitas with steak and his mother shared the dish. They were both expressing how good the flavors were. Even the chips were delicious! I will be coming back! I could eat this every day!

I usually order Pozole, but that dish is only during the winter time. So I ordered a cup of tortilla soup! The chicken was fresh and delicious, and the broth was so good I drank it all. The salsa trio is always my favorite appetizer because of the spicy mango salsa! I finish it every time. I also got the Plátanos cubanos, but I got the toppings on the side so I could enjoy their plantains by themselves. As an appetizer, snack, meal, or dessert, plantains are the best. I ordered a side of rice with my steak tacos too, and I have to say this rice is the most similar to the type my mom makes at home. Not too tomatoey, but perfectly moist and tasty. I opted out of getting a cocktail today, so I got a mocktail. I was craving agua de jamaica, which they didn't directly have, but this "zero proof" cocktail hit the spot ;) As for the steak tacos, the steak was a little too chewy for my liking, but that's because I usually get my steak well done (I know, don't judge). Thank you Milagros for always being the best spot for a comforting meal!

The biggest disappointment however was when I looked at my receipt. In addition to taxes and tipping, I was another charged 3.5% for "state mandate." I inquired and was told that since the restaurant has to provide medical insurance, their employees they charge customers for that now. It's just so shady that this is not disclosed ahead of time or at least no obvious and it's only if you look at your receipt, do you see you're being charged this additional fee. Word for the wise it is optional despite the mandatory language on the receipt, so I encourage everyone to refuse to pay. You are not the one employing the employees, the employer is.

Dine in | Dinner La Corneta, San Carlos…read more From the moment we walked into La Corneta in San Carlos, we were met with warmth, efficiency, and exceptional service. The experience was quick, smooth, and welcoming from start to finish. This was my first meal of the day, and I was hoping for something satisfying -- but I had no idea just how impressed I would be. Our food and beverages were ordered and served promptly. Even when a small mistake occurred, it was corrected immediately, graciously, and with a genuine smile, which speaks volumes about the care and professionalism of this team. Customer Service: 5 stars -- truly beyond expectations Cleanliness: 5 stars -- spotless and well cared for Quantity: 5 stars -- more than generous Quality: 5 stars -- honestly better than many 5-star restaurants my husband and I have tried Price: Very reasonable, especially considering the quantity and outstanding quality A special and heartfelt thank you to David, who I believe is the manager. He was attentive, observant, friendly, and incredibly hands-on -- moving seamlessly from station to station, supporting his team, and leading by example. David is the kind of leader who inspires, not commands. It would genuinely have been an honor to work under his supervision. He goes above and beyond, and it shows brightly in every detail. The fajitas were cooked perfectly, the drinks were delicious, and my husband absolutely loved his mole burrito. What stood out most was how this place made me feel. I didn't feel like just another customer -- I felt at home, and after the day I had, that meant more than words can express. We are already looking forward to our next visit. In a time when many establishments are losing their personal touch, La Corneta is creating real connections -- and that makes all the difference. 13 stars -- for our favorite number as a couple. With sincere gratitude, Thank you, David, and thank you to the entire La Corneta team.

I got a taco salad which is served in a taco bowl with all the ingredients of a super burrito, minus rice and cheese. It was very good, but the bottom of the shell gets really soggy so you can really just eat the top of the shell where it's still crispy. The rest of the family got super burritos and were very happy - the meat was crispy in some parts and moist/soft in other parts and the ratio of the other ingredients were perfect to complement the protein. I'm an al pastor burrito guy and this one was way too heavy on the spice/seasoning and kinda overpowered everything. Also there was barely any trace of tater tots which I was really looking forward to. My daughters ate the asada and said it was just ok. One thing is that the burritos are smaller than your super at El Farolito but they do pack it in there and it's pretty filling! The birria was actually pretty good and they gave a couple different sauces and cabbage and I would recommend it. I was also looking forward to eating the churro donuts on the drive back home because I thought they would be hot n good but that wasn't the case. They musta pulled them out from under a warming lamp because they were barely lukewarm to cold so that was a fail. Overall, it's not bad, but definitely pricier than most of the other popular Mex spots and now that I think about it, I probably won't go back because of it. There's plenty good Mex around for a lot less $$. I coulda gotten 3 super burritos from Farolito for $35 vs ~$75 that I paid at Suavecito.
