I recently hired Milan Cleaning Company to help us with a deep clean in our home, after we moved in and realized it wasn't really as clean as it should have been. They came in and did a super thorough job, tackling our kitchen and a pretty dirty bathroom with a lot of crevices for mold to grow. They got the cabinets cleaned all the way to the tops of them and thoroughly cleaned our sliding glass doors. It felt so nice to have our home properly cleaned after living in it a few months! We have since hired them for recurring monthly cleans and our experience on our second visit was also positive--they were again very thorough and thoughtful about how they cleaned. I have an old brass sink that they polished beautifully and they focused attention on a couple of tough spots, like a toilet that has a rust stain that we can't seem to remove. I used to use Handy before they increased to requiring a minimum of 3 hours. My place in San Francisco, like many others here I imagine, is not so big that it requires 3 hours worth of cleaning. Fortunately, Milan Cleaning Company allowed me to request just 2 hours ($80). Aside from good value, the cleaning itself was great! There was definitely attention to detail. There wasn't a speck of dust to be seen. The cleaning was everything I was hoping and expecting. Communication over text was fantastic as they were always quick to respond. BUYER BEWARE - would give 0 stars if I could I can't speak for booking directly with Milan, but if you book through Amazon.com and end up getting matched with them, GOOD LUCK. Where to begin... (this all happened in a span of 24 hours mind you) 1) They sent me an email letting me know all the things they won't clean, which I do understand, but then said to contact them directly if I'd want those things done. Questionable way of them to go around Amazon? 2) They texted me a massively long text asking me what other days and times I might be available. Mind you - the Amazon reservation process has you already select a date and time that you prefer, which Amazon then confirms. Milan is again making the customer experience more difficult with asking for more dates and times (??), and certainly less convenient. 3) They also demanded I confirmed my address with them via text. Again, this is already all done through the Amazon process. Entirely unnecessary. 4) They texted asking about parking in the area, and that if the the cleaning technician can't find parking within 15 minutes, they will cancel the order. HUH!? 5) They also stated they will enforce a $75 cancellation fee if cancelled within 24 hours of the appointment. Amazon confirmed for me they don't have the authorization to do this, and all cancellations (and/or applicable charges) flow through Amazon, not them. Long story short, I've had great Amazon cleaners assigned to me (they work with 3rd parties like Milan), but I am praying to never be assigned Milan again. Needless to say, I cancelled before the appointment occurred, so I can't speak to the quality of the cleaning, but frankly, even a world-class cleaning isn't worth dealing with all of what I mentioned. I've reported this all to Amazon, and they will be escalating it to their customer service leadership team to address with Milan directly, but I share this review so all of you can be aware, as well. read more

Holy sparking clean bathroom Batman! I was overly impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom after our technician was done. Our grout never looked cleaner and the sink sparkled! If only I could say the same for the kitchen sink. It looked like it had been washed but not really scrubbed with "elbow grease" as my grandmother likes to say. The rest of the house smelled great and was definitely dusted and vacuumed, but it didn't really go past that. Other services I've had made sure to dust the baseboards and windowsills, something I missed with gbjz service. Maybe it's because I went through amazon and the standards aren't as stringent?
