Found this place by chance while in town doing some shopping, and craving good Italian food. Yelp reviews convinced us we needed to try it, and we are glad we did. We arrived a few minutes before 4pm not realizing they wouldn't be open until then, but staff let us in before they were finished setting up for the New Years Eve crowd. Staff was very nice and accommodating. We ordered fried mozzarella and calamari for appetizers - both were delicious and HUGE portions. My oldest loved the stuffed shells, and my husband and I enjoyed the lobster ravioli. My two little ones really liked the cheese pizza as well. Big portions, so unless you want leftovers, I recommend sharing! Glad we found this place - will be back again! read more

I've ate here numerous times and everything is delicious every time. All dishes are served family style so you might want to split things if you don't want leftovers. (However, know if you do have leftovers, know everything will taste just as good the second time around) My favorite is the garlic bread with cheese. It is other worldly. It has takes on a dimension of an english muffin at times. Beware, it is highly addicting. You will stuff yourself on it and then have no room left for dinner. But that's okay cause, well, see my first paragraph. Wait staff is awesome and efficient. My only beef is that can be loud at times, but that's not really their fault. This restaurant absolutely has THE BEST food all around from pizza to pasta dishes. I have never had a negative experience there. The dishes taste homemade and the portion size is generous at a reasonable price. On a customer service level, the owner and staff are always friendly making you feel like they've known you for a lifetime. The servers are very attentive when you dine in (pre-pandemic). Very good food, huge portions. I ordered the special it was a grilled shrimp with sun dried tomato & asparagus quinoa it was excellent. My son ordered the Buffalo chicken calzone his was huge and very good as well. The crust was super fresh & then not all dough which was nice. This place was packed at 11:45AM on a Wednesday Lunchtime. A very good sign!! Its a noisy,happy place....not terribly attractive....but the food and service are what score all the positive points. Portions are huge..food is truly delicious....service friendly and outstanding. My lunch pal started with a Peroni imported beer...I had a Ginger Ale. He said his salad was very good...my obviously home made steak and cheese soup was thick and terrific. My buddy said he was dreaming of his chicken marsala and today did not disappoint. He ordered extra bread to mop up the gravy! BTW..the thick warm bread they provide is really good. I had the veal parm on top a bed of spaghetti. Meat was thick yet tender...mozzarella was perfect....sauce=Wow! No room for the offered dessert...no doggie bags for us..we devoured it all. My husband works in Chicopee and this place recommended to him by an employee. It is exactly what you'll love as an Italian American restaurant. We have gotten takeout twice. First we had pizza. Chicken and broccoli and a pepperoni. Thin crust, good amount of sauce and toppings. Nice chewy dough. Tonight we got chicken parm. Huge portion. Came with pasta, bread and soup. They also put a side of extra sauce which was awesome. Chicken was tender, not greasy, great amount of sauce and cheese. Also had garlic cheese bread which was perfect. You just gotta love this place, I've been there twice and I was more than pleased with the food quality, atmosphere and service. The homemade soups at Milano's are a rare treasure, they are extraordinarily good, often made with market fresh vegetables and exuding that authentic Italian touch that congers up your very best memories at grandma's house for those very special Sunday afternoon dinners. I have had two spaghetti dishes so far both were excellent, chicken broccoli in a oil and garlic sauce and linguine with white clam sauce. The pasta was cooked to a perfect al-dente and the sauces in both dishes were superb. Let's not forget the Italian homemade bread which is made fresh daily at Milano's, good golly miss molly, do not pass up the bread and be sure to sop up every last remnant out of whatever it is you might have ordered. The bread is on another level altogether and a rare fine indeed. I will be going back to try their pizza one day and I have no qualms about the outcome of that excursion, Milano's bread has told me everything I need to know about their pizza, these guys can handle dough. read more

I've had a grinder here twice and both times they did not disappoint! The bread is really fresh and toasted just right. The portions are large for the price. For $20 we got 2 grinders( eggplant and meatball), a bowl of fries, and a soda. It was only $20 and we each took home half a grinder and a good portion of fries! read more

I have been to Milanos with my family dozens of times. I'm always extremely satisfied with the food, and the large portions. But last night my husband and I came out around 6:30, obviously expecting to wait a little bit for a table knowing it's a busy Friday night. So we put our name on the list and headed to the bar to wait. As we walk over we see a huge party(a sports team of some kind) get up to leave, freeing up two thirds of the dining room. After resetting all of the tables, maybe fifteen minutes passed, and a party of seven were seated at two of those tables. There were only a few names on the list ahead of us, so we assumed a table would be set for us shortly. Well. We were very wrong. Ten or so minutes later a group of four that wasn't ahead of us on the list was seated at a table. We waited a few more minutes and we still weren't called. My husband went up to the host stand asking if our table would be ready soon, and he looked down and our names had already been crossed off... the hostess rudely told him we would be called in a few minutes. 30 minutes later, making our total wait time about 55 minutes, we were called to a small table in the other dining room. All four of the other tables that I watched get reset were still open. Finally around 8:45 when we were about to leave I walked through the larger dining room to use the restroom, and ALL four of those reset tables were still open. I understand mistakes happen and restaurants are busy. But I watched four open tables for an hour when I literally could have eaten and been out of there in that time. And tacking on a cold, rude hostess who doesn't seem to enjoy her job doesn't help. I love the food, but this makes me not look forward to a return. read more

Milanos is a great place for take out pizza, it's very hard to find parking for the sit down side at dinner time so we haven't eaten in get, much to our disappointment. Portions are huge but the pizza can get a bit soggy if you don't dive into it right away, we had the buffalo chicken (amazing!) and the tomato basil (delicious!). My husband's two cents is that he hates when a pizza is cut in squares, which we didn't expect with a medium, though this doesn't particularly bother me.
