We chose Milano's while we were in town looking at houses -- it was close by and looked promising. When we walked in, the place was almost empty except for one family, but it was clean, spacious, and well kept. We browsed the menu at the counter, and the owner greeted us right away and took our order. Prices felt a little on the high side, but we chalked it up to traveling. My wife ordered a DIY salad, but there was hardly any lettuce available, so we swapped it for spinach instead. All the ingredients looked fresh and tasted great. Our cheese sticks and marinara came out first. They looked good, but once we bit into them, they seemed a bit old -- no cheese pull, chunky texture, and tasted like they'd been in the freezer for a while. Soon after, our pizza and pasta arrived. The pizza had plenty of veggies (which I like), though it was a little light on cheese and sauce. Still, the flavor was good. The pasta was tasty but a bit watery, though it did come with about eight shrimp, which definitely made my wife happy. We ate until we were stuffed, and the owner even brought out to-go containers for us. Overall, a good spot for pizza and pasta. If we're ever in the area again, we'd go back! We were traveling through and staying at the Best Western and had already ordered Pizza Hut when the lady at the front desk told me Milano's delivers. My order was gonna be 45 min from Pizza Hit so I called And canceled And ordered the supreme from here. It was delivered within 20 minutes. Best pizza ever. However I wasn't happy there was a $7.50 delivery charge and then he asked of I wanted to tip.... I was in the Carthage area and was hungry. So I decided to give Milano's Pizza a shot and boy I'm glad I did. Picked up a Supreme Pizza and Wings. My only complaint is more of a me thing than them. This had to be the worst pizza and chef salad in the history of man . If you don't know the ingredients don't bother . It was lettuce, pepperoni and some sort of ham loaf topped with shredded Mozzarella . Dominos is 5 star compared to this place. Clean up once in a while also . The Chicken cacciatore was delicious but the Grilled chicken penne Milano is AMAZING. My mom is Italian and even she would've been proud of this dish. The owner/manager was awesome. Took excellent care of myself and my husband tonight. I also had the bruschetta and it was great. Love the pesto in it! And the bread was crispy and delicious as well. My family has always been please with our food and our service. Also, it is very nice to know that if a mistake is made with your order- they are happy to make it right immediately and will go out of their way to make sure you are pleased. When I got a pizza to go I took it home and ate 3 pieces. I got food poisoning. Diarrhea real bad. This was about 2 years ago just when the Covid epidemic was over and the person who waited on me did not wash his hands after checking out a customer at the register and fixed my pizza. The pizza was passable but nothing special. The price tag at lunch was the highlight. The manager was the only one working and disappeared for the entirety of our stay after he took our payment. I was a little worried seeing the outside of the place was a bit run down, and it could use some updating on the inside, but the food was really great! The all-meat sandwich was really good. We are passing through Carthage, and ordered takeout from Milano's mostly by chance. They delivered (on time) right to our hotel room, and the meal was terrific. We've spent time in Italy and have some Italian blood, so we're not neophytes. This stuff was really good! The lasagna, bruschetta, Italian salad, and great crusty bread were delicious and far more than we could eat. This was an unexpected delight on our trip, but when the opportunity presents itself we will surely return. read more

I was initially excited to try out Milano's Pizza. Seeing a wide variety of options from their menu - wings, pizzas, pastas, sandwiches, etc., I was looking forward to trying their homemade food. I was particularly in the mood for a pizza that night, so I called ahead and ordered carry out for one large 2 topping pizza (sausage and mushrooms) since there was a coupon on their website for only $10.99. However, when I called, I was misinformed and was told that they actually raised their prices to $11.99. Okay, only 1 more dollar AND it's homemade, should taste pretty good. I went along and placed the order. When I arrived at Milano's, I saw that it was most likely a family run business since there were 2 people working in the kitchen, and 1 person at the cashier. There were 3 other customers there and they were already eating, and I was waiting in front of the cashier box waiting to pay for my togo order. The owner, who was in front at the cashier box, was too busy and I had to wait a good 10 minutes before he asked me if I was there to dine in or carry out. While I was waiting for my pizza, I was able to see the open kitchen area and how they made their fresh, homemade pizza. And it was disturbing. I saw the owner, who was handling cash when I got there, pick up cheese to put on a pizza before he put it in the oven. He also just wiped his on a towel that looks like would be used to clean up a table or countertop before he went back to handling cash. And then moments later, he went back to pick up more cheese. That is not safe nor sanitary. This all happened within a 10 minute time frame. The pizza itself tasted below average assuming average is your typical Domino's or Pizza Hut. The toppings tasted just fine, but the crust was too much and too doughy. Overall, I would not recommend Milano's Pizza to anyone because of the way I saw them make the food and having unsanitary practices. I understand that for that particular night, there were only 3 people running the restaurant. But there should be no shortcuts when preparing food. Just simply washing your hands with soap for 20 seconds can prevent the spread of bad germs and bacteria. read more

We have eaten here quite a few times and have yet to be extremely disappointed. We usually go on Sundays after church and get the pizza and salad buffet. Which is always good. The desserts are okay. I have ordered the lasagna in the past the taste was excellent but the sauce was a little to runny for my liking. We have also ordered the sandwiches, they are very delicious! To sum it up.... I am having trouble rating this restaurant. It's Saturday night and there are very few customers. The food is superior, large portions at a reasonable price. However, the reason for the lack of customers---a 50 minute wait for food. That is almost unacceptable for items that were not pizza. If there had been a large crowd and we had ordered several pizzas, the slowness might have been understandable, but for just salads and pasta dishes the wait was inexcusable. Staff was very busy but took care of the few patrons inside the restaurant. Pizza was wonderful and it was good to see the business so busy.
