Yum! I tried their love you berry matcha drink (matcha with strawberry cold foam) and it was delicious! I would comeback here often if I lived closer. It was expensive, but I think matchas are steadily increasing in price unfortunately. Service was lovely and the two employees were very friendly and welcoming!

This place is down the street from my dentist office near Huebner and Bitters. I'm not sure why I have never seen it until today, but I'm so glad I did! Upon entrance, I was elated to see plants, art, and coffee supplies. I couldn't get over how wonderful this place looked! They offer coffee and coffee drinks, sandwiches (I had a kolache), snacks, and the beautiful art that's hanging along the walls. I ordered my usual vanilla latte, kolache, and a piece of pistachio lemon cake. EVERYTHING was delicious! The service was fast and the barista was so friendly and helpful! I can't say enough about this place except that I'll be back!

Drinks We tried - Emily's Sledgehammer espresso lovers dream 4shots of espresso with a bit of sweetness. - Hot Butter Latte really good, we personally didn't taste the saltiness of the butter. But this drink was still really good! - Iced Aztec Mocha now this one definitely had a kick! While it included cinnamon and cayenne pepper, the cayenne pepper packs a punch! All very unique and packed with bold flavors If you're looking for a cozy spot with a creative menu, this hidden gem is worth a visit!

The only thing that was better than the coffee was the service. I got a cortado and the wife got an americano. We stayed and drank them and decided to get a second drink. Wife got the double shot and I got an iced loose leaf tea with their house made Vanilla. So amazing! Love this place.

Five star matcha lattes in a really chill café! Former coffee shop and specialty tea shop barista here! I've only heard fantastic things about Mildfire so I had to stop in while I was in the area. The place is a whole vibe, with comfy furniture, tons of plants, indie music playing overhead, and lots of art by a local artist for sale hung on all of the walls. Business was on the slower side when I went, with only one other couple ahead of me who purchased over a hundred dollars worth of coffee beans, and the single barista working the shop was both super kind and insanely quick with my order. I had an Iced Matcha Latte that easily became one of my top five favorite coffee shop matchas I've had. It was crafted really well, and was super creamy and smooth with the matcha itself mixed evenly throughout the drink. I'd opted for a sweetener this visit, and between it and the whole milk the Latte was a little sweeter than I'd expected but delicious nonetheless. The matcha was still bold in flavor but not too strong or bitter, and paired well with the elevated level of sweetness. I'm actively looking forward to returning to try more of their menu, especially the coffee that couple purchased all of those beans for, and stay a little longer in such a neat environment. I'll definitely have to bring some friends with me next time!

I found this hidden gem tucked away at a strip mall on the outskirts of San Antonio. It looks fairly nondescript from the outside, but once you enter the premises, you know you're someplace special. The interior is brightly infused with an array of warm colors and has a relaxed vibe. The staff were cheerful, friendly, and greet you with a smile. The menu is expansive, offering a wide variety of expertly crafted coffee drinks with dairy alternatives for those who are lactose intolerant. The selection here runs the gamut, with single-origin and blend coffees from Central America to Africa. Another neat aspect of this place is that their brew methods are all encompassing as they offer drip, pour over, French press, Chemex, cold brew, and of course traditional espresso! After much consideration, I opted for the Aztec Mocha with oat milk. The drink comprised a blend of cayenne pepper, chocolate chips, espresso, and cinnamon! The first sip was like taking a euphoric journey into blissful tranquility. The sweet blend of cinnamon with the heat of cayenne packed a punch that put me back on my feet. After enjoying my drink, I walked to the back of the establishment where I saw an older man tending to a coffee roaster. Curious, I spoke with him briefly and learned that he was the in house master coffee roaster who had more than 30 years of experience. So, not only does Mildfire make excellent coffee, they source and roast their own beans weekly. It doesn't get much better than that! This is hands down the best coffee shop in the San Antonio area!

Coffee is excellent probably one of the best coffees I've had in town and the price is great! Only $3 for an iced Americano. Unfortunately, this place rotten with terrible customer service. I said thank you twice. The lady literally didn't even acknowledge me. Seemed like she didn't want to be there.

Went for a drive for a smaller coffee shop found this little gem. The owner is very sweet and so is her employee we met. I got the Hot Butter Latte with Oat milk and my husband got an Americano. I really enjoyed the Hot Butter Latte. It was not too sweet, smooth, and very tasty. Even the American was very smooth. Plain and simple, no added anything. Both my husband and I enjoyed the flavor. We hung out for a bit chatting, so we decided on a 2nd cup. So I decided to try another Signature drink. I got the Aztec Mocha with Oat milk. As a personal preference...bit much on the cinnamon. But still a good drink.

I tried the light roast Brazilian pour over. The taste was good but it's the first Brazilian coffee beans I have tried. This place imports their own beans and roasts them in-house at the shop. There are several comfortable chairs and a sofa in the back to sit. Plenty of table top seating as well. read more

My wife and I both had vanilla lattés, which were excellent. Friendly, fast customer service and great coffee made this visit a win. The breakfast tacos were good, and the salsa was excellent. The green salsa was a little spicy for my wife. read more

Wildfire is an incredible place. The coffee is great, the staff is nice, the regulars and customers are cheerful and interesting, and the vibe is marvelous. Try the Azteca Mocha and enjoy the local art (which is for sale) hanging on the walls. read more

Wildfire Roasts their beans onsite so the coffee is the freshest you can get. There are a number of blends to choose from on a regular basis as well as specialty/seasonal blends that you really can't miss. There is a good selection of pastries and muffins that make Wildfire a good place to spend a morning surfing the internet. I've also been there a few times when they've had live music. I like the art and photos on the walls seem to change on a regular basis giving it a cool eclectic feel. read more

The prior reviews make this place sound like a decent coffee shop that caters to those hardcore coffee drinkers. No, this place is just a super tacky place full of gimmicky drinks and food items that are perfect for those suburbanites who simply don't care. The availability of V60, Chemex, and various other brewing methods might make this place look like a legit place but it's really not. I had a pretty bad feeling when I peeked through the window. The interior looked pretty stale and didn't see a real espresso machine (you know, like the ones you see at Brown or Local). The beans are pretty subpar. They roast their beans on-site. Ok, whatever. Nowadays I can get high-quality beans from renowned roasters USPS'd to my door in two days. This place seriously lack attenton to detail. Also, they keep the temp below freezing ala Starbucks so people don't sit around for hours with laptops. Sorry to leave this review but I'm one of those psycho coffee drinkers who reads Sprudge, grinds beans at home with a burr grinder, and drinks single origins from spots like Heart, Sightglass, and etc. The best coffee in town are still at Brown and Local. This place doesn't even compare to either of these local gems. The guys who work here are pretty friendly though. read more

Local coffee shop feel and nice people. I went mid-day to get a snack before an appointment nearby. I had an iced tea and a peach muffin. The muffin was served cold (would have been better warmed up), but was quite tasty. It had a mushy insides mixed with real peaches into the doughy texture. The top was sprinkled with a crunchy sugar mix that balanced the inside gooeyness perfectly. The tea was just a bagged tea they steeped - nothing special, but not bad either. I'll definitely try them again. read more

Unbelievable. I have never had a mocha like this in my life. Please do yourself a favor and order the Aztec mocha. It's a delicious mocha with Cayanne pepper added to it so it adds an unbelievably pleasant spice. Crazy good! read more

Just what I was looking for: good java, local flavor and a quiet place to work. With the nearby construction it was easy to overlook this place but I'm glad I found it. Fairly small, narrow shop with a few seats in the front, lawn the side and in the back. This was a work stop between appointments so I only ordered a decaf, which was served up freshly brewed in a large ceramic mug. Great roasted flavor. Very friendly service. Tables were a little small to do much work but it worked just fine. read more

Had a nice cuppa here while in the area. Needed a little pick-me-up for the afternoon, and asked for a recommendation from the barista. She made me a latte with honey. It was smooth but just ok. Seems like a nice little shop and the service was friendly, but I don't think I would go out of my way to visit again. read more

Was in the area and spotted this coffee spot. Quickly dropped in for some to-go lattes. The barista was very polite and welcoming. The place is small but real clean with a good vibe. My daughter and I look forward to amazing coffees every Saturday morning. Caramel latte and Aztec Mocha. So good and never taste "over-roasted". They fix my grandson's hot chocolate the perfect temp for his 3 year old preference. If you are lucky enough to be there when roasting is in progress, not only can you observe, but the roaster will explain and answer questions. read more

The coffee deserves 4 stars along with the hometown feel. The cashier needs a little improvement on her skills at recognizing when a customer is new and may need direction on the menu but hey she is young and if that is the only issue there are no issues. Try it out! read more

Get there right after they roast a batch and you'll be in java heaven. This is a small shop with a nice selection of locally roasted coffee to buy in bulk as well as enjoy in the store. Its a nice, comfortable place to enjoy a cup of coffee after a bike ride or workout. You'll not find 2 dozen people on laptops doing their taxes/schoolwork there, it's a bit small for that, but there are a few tables to sit at and relax. Service was very nice and knowledgeable. read more

Yelp influenced visit. Simple and reasonably priced for just coffee. Had the Colombia variety and was very good. No bitterness taste and moderately strong. Breakfast burritos (potato & egg) were a bonus. Limited seating and not good for a private conversation however very friendly staff. Roast their own beans and sell it as well. Recommended. read more

I love this place for what it is which is a business that roast good beans. I see a few one or two star reviews, and their main complaint is that this is not a place where you come for the atmosphere. I can't disagree since in my mind, that's not what Mildfire is. I don't go there for the drinks, I go for their beans which are roasted in house and delicious! I would put Mildfire roasts against the big boys like Counter Culture, Intelligentsia, Cuvee, or La Colombe, and Mildfire is cheeper too! (~$14 for 16 oz.) read more

I get a bag of their Texas Blend every week for at home. A well done mix that has just the right kick without any bitterness of other heavy hitters. I'll grab an occasional espresso while I'm there. I do wish they offered mineral water chasers with them. read more

As I said, everything was phenomenal. Unfortunately, there is one issue we cannot look past, although we have tried. The bagels are delicious, but they are the absolute wettest, slippery and slidey-est bagels I've ever had in my life. The meal is spent looking down and hoping my beloved or other guests don't see the schmear up to my nose. By the end, we are having to reconstruct our bagel, as it looks like roadkill on the table. It is not a user error, as we eat slowly and carefully. I even have friends who refuse to come back here because it was the messiest eating experience of their lives. It's so unbelievably messy. We have to rinse off in their bathroom before leaving. I have to take my rings off and put my hair up. It's a commitment, one we are not strong enough to make at this point. They have the rudest barista ever. I think her name is Sara. I saw her yell, give murderous looks, ignored and say insulting things to apparent regulars. The owner was present several times and did nothing. The CUSTOMERS were polite in response and she only became ruder. One left and she felt free to unload her 'opinions' where I could hear. You've cost your employer I and my wife's business. Its unfortunate because they have a good product. What a reprehensible way to act. We'll spend our extra somewhere else. read more
