I used to go at least once a week, but not any more. Prices have gone up and food has gone down. Last visit my pork chop was dry and barely warm. I took it home for the dog. I also found out the money in the "tip jar" is not divided among the employees but is kept by the owner. read more

I've been a fan of Miles to Go since they opened this location. Food was great and made to be like homemade. Went Thursday and was shocked to have paid $12.10 for a small fried chicken breast (over-cooked and dry), cooked carrots, and butter beans (over-cooked). I get they have overhead costs, which I'd gladly pay if the food was worth it. Unfortunately, it no longer is. Guess the owners are too worried about their other location to keep a quality check on this one. I won't be back. This place offers country style buffet food offered behind the counter. You choose between a meat or 2 and add sides on. Each plate comes with a piece of either cornbread or roll. My personal favorite are the rolls. The broccoli chicken and cheese casserole is also another one of my favorites, I did find a tiny bone in it one time, but that is because of the type of chicken they use. It happens. Overall, when I visit my family here it's a quick, easy, convenient, restaurant to visit. My main issue has been lack of proper covid safety, ie: not wearing masks all the time, not changing gloves all the time, not enforcing distancing. This sadly is how it is in this part of the country and hopefully they will continue to thrive after things get back to normal. read more

My last visit to here was a few years back. After getting a msg. from Tim my wife and I gave it another try and we were both surprised over the improvements and have been back a few times leaving happy and full. This is the BEST restaurant in Columbus!!! The food is always DELICIOUS! The staff is so friendly and they have a way of making you feel at home. My friends and I go every Friday at lunch for "Spicey fried chicken" and the best fried catfish anywhere!!! The sides are always so delicious! They have a great variety for all appetites! Just do not walk in hungy - because if you don't order two meals you're going to LEAVE hungry. Portions are tiny. Should be renamed Snacks To Go Too. The food really is not bad but for what you pay, you can get twice the meal, just as good, at a much, much, better price just about five minutes away. Dont be so dang cheap on you portions, Miles, and you have some hope. Otherwise, I, and numerous others who I know, will never be back. Good place to go eat for lunch because it is quick service dining and not table service. Nice and clean place, the food is home cooked so expect fresh southern cooking. They sell sweet and unsweetened tea, lemonade, water, coke classic, and diet coke which they just put out so maybe this year or early 2016 this restaurant might have a fountain Machine but for right it is cans for sodas this place now caters. The bathrooms are clean and has bible scriptures on the wall so I would a Christian owed facility. Tuesday is fried porkchop day and there is no better place to get fried pork chops. On Thursday is my favorite meal from childhood: calve's liver and onions. The fried chicken is another southern favorite along with meatloaf. Some things are served on certain days, you just have to check on-line. Vegetables could use some work flavor-wise. One of my favorites is mac and cheese made wirh vermicelli. The squash and the broccoli and rice casseroles run a close second. Costs are very reasonable. read more

Food was edible but straight out of a can and very bland. True Country cooking places use ham hock and fat back....just sayin. This is where the really poor rating comes into play. My tea had a funky taste so went back up to see if I could change it out and the lady at the register was very rude and told me that she made the tea and there ain't nothing wrong with it! I've been to Miles to Go Too several times. This is my review of the things my husband or I have had. Fried Chicken - Very good southern staple food. Mashed Potatoes - Not bad. A hint of flavor that suggests there's potato flakes or something a bit instant. Macaroni and Cheese - Some of the best anywhere around. I would go there and just eat this. Collards and Turnip Greens - Fresh and great with pepper sauce. Chicken and Broccoli casserole - Nearly all broccoli stems. The chicken is a bit dry. Room for improvement. Okra, Corn and Tomatoes - Too much sugar. Stewed Squash - Yummy. Hamburger Steak - Very large like a meatball. Not at all what I was expecting. Thin, fried and smothered in gravy is what I was hoping for. Pass on this one. Squash Casserole - Good as homemade. Creamed Corn - Canned I think. Roasted Turkey Breast - Just ok. Reminds me of cafeteria food. Dressing - Very good! Sweet Potato Casserole - Very dense and old fashioned. Not fluffy and baked with marshmallows. The hubby likes anything sweet potato and he liked this. This is not their entire menu, just what I have tried. It's nice to have a place with home cookin' that is in north Columbus. Have been here a few times and every time the food is delicious. Today I had the roast turkey with gravy, sweet potato casserole, and cornbread dressing. The turkey was moist and yummy. The cornbread dressing and sweet potato casserole were not as good as mine, but they were pretty darn good. The staff are always very pleasant. The only thing bad I can say about this place is that sometimes it's hard to find somewhere to sit because it's always so packed around lunchtime. read more
