Milestones on Wharf Street has been one of my go-to places for years for lunch or a Sunday brunch. I have to confess the last couple times weren't quite as good, but today was poor. The waitress did show up quickly to take our drink orders, but once we ordered food it took about 40 minutes. When food was delivered we had to ask three times for jam and peanut butter, and it took 10 minutes to clear our dishes after we finished eating. The above is easier to forgive if the food is good. The food was lukewarm and had clearly been sitting for a while ... the scrambled eggs on the one dish were congealing. I have been there dozens of times. Not sure if I will go back. read more

Our group had a Cesar salad with grilled shrimp, the sushi bowl with salmon, the ramen bowl with grilled salmon, and the grilled salmon dinner. All were outstanding. This Milestones is a chain restaurant. So to me all Milestones are the same. Well, this location is awesome. First restaurant I see while getting off the floatplane. Its near the harbour. In an awesome location. So I ordered the Miso glazed cod. For some reason, it looked like salmon. the fish was over cooked and was kind of dried. Portion was meh as well. The pineapple didn't go well with the salmon. We ordered calamari to start. That was good. They grinded it up and put it back together to fried. It came looking like calamari sticks. I liked that and it goes well with the sauce. The restaurant was busy and we did have to wait on a Monday night. We waited about 15 mins. Showed up about 7:30 and was seated about 7:45pm. Decor was nice. It has a nice view of the water. Location is awesome but food was ok. Service was ok as well. You have to really look to flag someone down. read more

Visiting from NYC and was in need of dinner - first night in Victoria. 1) The waiter took 10 mins to get to the table 2) We ordered drinks and food together and water took 25 mins to come to the table AFTER I went to the bar to request water AGAIN. The cocktails taste like a refresher from Starbucks. 3) The waiter kept saying "the food will be out soon". ONE HOUR LATER and we never got the food. 4) After waiting 1.5 hours, my family and I cancelled the food order, paid for our drinks and left! There was no apology or satisfaction given. Went here for dinner after visiting the Butchart Gardens. Unfortunately we just missed HH. Oh well. Hubby ordered and liked the prime rib dip sandwich. I thought it was just ok. It was served on a bun and I think it would have been better on a sturdier toasted bread that would hold up to dipping in au jus better. He got his with tasty French fries. I ordered the rustic chicken & Brie sandwich served on a cranberry pumpkin seed baguette. The bread overwhelmed the sandwich. It was good but all you tasted was bread. I had mine with a side Caesar salad. It could have used more garlic & lemon. Over all would go back but would try something different from the menu & will shoot for HH to save a little on the bill. read more

This was mine and my partners first trip to Victoria and Milestones was the first restaurant we made it to in town. It was pretty busy in there since it is New Years Weekend, and our server was slammed so understandably it was a little slower to get refills and such. Still great service even with how busy it was. It's not super vegetarian friendly I would say, only a couple options available of which I had the butternut squash ravioli which was about a 4.3 for me. The burrata was delicious, but I would skip the spinach and artichoke dip (not worth it). Otherwise, for a seat on the water with decent food and drinks the price wasn't too bad. We can always count on consistently delicious food, great service (Sarah was our server Dec 8, 2023) , and great atmosphere, Wonderful view of the Victoria inner harbour, The Empress Hotel and the Parliament buildings. I had the Chicken Pesto Penne Asiago and my husband had the steak sandwich and fries. Yum yum yum. Beautiful presentation, cooked perfectly, steak was tender and the sauce in the sandwich was just the right amount. You can count on the quality at this restaurant. We always enjoy our visit. Vacationing in Victoria and decided to give Milestones a try for lunch. We loved the location of the restaurant because it was right off the water and had amazing views. If you come here I highly suggest requesting a window table. The interior was very modern and clean. The staff were very friendly and for the most part attentive. The menu has a good amount of choices and since we were on vacation I decided to order the prime rib and vegetables. Wasn't the best prime rib I've ever had but it was good nonetheless. It was flavored well and nice and tender. I ordered it medium rare and that's exactly how it came out. The vegetables seemed fresh and no complaints in that regards. The prices of the menu was reasonable but obviously a little higher than expected. Not complaining because I know it's a tourist area and prices are usually a little higher in those cases. read more

After walking the harbor, we met up here with a group of 6. We had a reservation and asked for a seat with a view. They immediately led to a large booth overlooking the harbor. The view is beautiful and an ideal spot to grab breakfast. They took our coats and immediately brought ice waters. Perfect. I started with a cappuccino. It was average. Food? California Eggs Benny-grilled shrimp, avocados and bacon. This was very good and filling to start our day of exploring the area. Also served with potatoes which were crisp. There are so many better restaurants in Victoria... if you are standing at Milestones right now look a cross the intersection and go to 10 Acres Common. We had a party of 4. Our meals were fine, but nothing particularly special taste-wise. The chicken was a little on the dry side, but it was edible. However, no one in our party finished our meals. We left about 25-40% of our dinner uneaten. We asked for our bill and waited over 20 minutes. The server came to apologize and said there was an issue putting two desserts into the same package(?) and to wait a little longer. Nearly 30 minutes into our wait, we stood up to just pay when the manager (he acted like he knew what was happening) told us there were some issues. We lost our appetite for our desserts and needed to leave. Waiting for your bill for over 30 minutes is not excusable. We never received what we paid for (our desserts) as we were forced to abandon our table or wait longer. What really stood out though was the tip option after such poor service and overly long wait times. The min tip on the machine was 18%. We had to find the 'other' option to tip 15% which in my mind was too much for such a negative experience that our party agreed we would not return in the future.' It left that much of a sour taste that the experience overall will be remembered as a location with average tasting food that made us wait too long to overcharge us for our dinner that we didn't get to enjoy what we actually paid for. read more

We had such a nice meal I forgot to take photos. The hostesses and the waiters were incredibly kind and welcoming. They told me where the changing table was for the baby, and they were very accommodating. Our food was delicious, the happy hour beverage list was nice, and the portions were great. I had the passion fruit mule & the ribs trio. The ribs were super moist, but they could have used more bbq sauce. The Cajun fries were incredible! They offer lots of decent options like shrimp pasta, burgers or prime rib sliders. A lot of heavy stuff. The cocktails seemed rather watered down. I didn't taste any alcohol in the raspberry mojito I ordered. Still, I was hypnotized by the view of the harbor. At sunset, it's a priceless view. My family went here for lunch and went back to The Deck which is downstairs for a dinner. In both cases, we had good service and a good meal. The Deck is on the harbor level with indoor and outdoor seating. The strawberry lemonade was a favorite-tasted great. I had the California spring salad with shrimp skewers. The salad had strawberries and candied pecans-very flavorful. The beef curry was another good dish. The view from the restaurant-from either floor faces the harbor with the parliament building. This is easily the worst franchise in the Milestones lot. Yesterday's three eggs over easy were hard and grossly over cooked. They were burnt on both sides! I sent them back and the 3 over easy that returned were covered in grease. The two measly strips of bacon were barely a serving. I had to ask for butter for the toast, and the thimble sized serving I was given was rancid. The view of the inner harbor was hardly adequate compensation. The place smacked of a tired management, and cooks with no love for their craft. The waitress was pleasant. But honestly, what a joke of a place to call a restaurant. The city's best restaurant should enjoy that prime location; not the worst. Negative 5 stars. read more

Try to score a table at the front windows for a magnificent view of the Legislative Building. We had the prime rib sliders and they were to die for. Great food and drink menu.
