Clam Chowder
Joe H.

I had a great bowl of clam chowder that was full of veggies, salmon, shrimp and clams. So tasty! My fish and chips was really good too. Nice crispy halibut. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. Had dinner on the patio. Good view.

A great, affordable happy hour on the water. Mark did a great job of taking care of us: spin dip, fries, wings and drinks. We walked in without a reservation and the entire staff did a great job.

Avocado and Whipped Feta Dip

I was only in town for a few hours. After a couple hours of walking and taking LOTS of pictures, I sought out a restaurant with a great view. Milestones was the perfect place. I was amazed that the place was not packed (it was a Monday and I was later told the previous weekend they were slammed!). I got a table with a great view and ordered The Empress (their version of a gin and tonic) and the avocado and whipped feta dip - they were both wonderful! Alex, my server, was friendly and knowledgeable with food and drink recommendations and information about the restaurant. Overall, the perfect ending to my time in Victoria!

Milestone in Victoria is my favorite restaurant. I can enjoy seeing Parliament building, the empress and seawall view from patio. What we ordered: Chilled seafood Cobb salad - jumbo poached shrimp, lobster meat, bacon, medium boiled egg, scallop red onion, cucumber edamame, grape tomatoes, avocado, creamy lemon dill dressing side with garlic bread A lot of seafood on the top! Poached shrimp, lobster meat, scallop and bacon paired well with vegetable and lemon dill dressing. I liked A lot vegetable. Lemon dill dressing was strong flavor and was very creamy. Delicious. Shrimp and scallop scampi. Creamy pasta with shrimp and scallop and spinach. I just had one bite, pasta was nicely al dente and very creamy sauce. Very good . Overall, we really enjoyed both food and beautiful Victoria view. I will visit here again.

Sandwich Trio with McWatters Chardonnay

Stumbled upon this restaurant as we got off our shuttle. They have some nice tables outside with heaters. However, we were a little chilled so opted for indoor seating. So glad we did! Our server, Stephanie was really top notch. She was so friendly and provided us with great service during our lunch. We had been told to try a BC wine (since we are from California) - so we tried the McWatters Chardonnay. It did not disappoint and complemented our meal nicely. Speaking of meal - the Sandwich Trio was amazing. The mushroom soup had a swirl of Basil Olive Oil on top that gave it such a nice flavor. The California salad dressing was creamy but not heavy. The sandwich - well.... You will just have to try it.

SMASHED BLACK N' BLUE BURGER

Convenient, comfort food, great views, and friendly service. This is an ideal pit stop after a day of walking around the harbor. The large windows of this restaurant provides excellent views of the harbor, The Fairmont Empress, and even Parliament Building. Decided to try Milestones for lunch and was pleasantly surprised by the overall experience. Service was phenomenal. The hostess and server was very friendly and personable. The hostess ensure we had a nice table with a view of the harbor and our server was on point and consistently checked in. The menu had a decent range of selections. I started with a Tokyo Negroni which was a delicious mix of Toki whisky, Campari, Cointreau, sweet vermouth, orange bitters. For entree, I opted for the Smashed Black N' Blue Burger with side of garlic parmesan fries. The burger patties were smaller than the burger, however they were juicy and cooked perfectly. The garlic parmesan fries were delicious and crispy. Also served generously. I would absolutely come back to try their seafood items.

Original Bellini

Annie was our server. Very cute and friendly young lady. Her service was perfect. My wife started with the Thursday special Original Bellini (peach). Their Lager on tap was a solid choice for me. Enjoyed their burger which was certainly Angus beef. Get the Parmesan garlic fries!

A view from Milestones. Water taxis to the left and the Legislative building in the background.

Looking for a spot to rest and eat while touring the Inner Harbor of Victoria? Try Milestones. Get a booth next to the window for great views of the Empress Hotel, the Legislative Building, and the busy water taxis buzzing about the harbor. I recommend the Baja fish tacos. The basa fish is a "creamy" white fish that goes well with the aioli, avocado, and tomato. The sweet potato fries are done right, crispy and not too crispy and well-seasoned. Other dishes that my party enjoyed: sirloin steak (rated VERY good) and the portobello mushroom chicken. The sushi bowl with ahi tuna was so-so. The rice in particular is not quite the right consistency for a sushi dish. The ever hard to find double chocolate cookie also makes an appearance here. While I could do without the white chocolate chunks, this chocolate delight still worked for me. The kids of course absolutely loved and devoured it.

We tried this restaurant on a mini vacation to Victoria. Nice atmosphere, beautiful views of the water and a nice menu We tried drinks and shared plates and loved it all.

Comfortable, convenient meals, breathtaking views, and kind service. After a day of exploring the port on foot, this is a great place to stop. This restaurant's huge windows offer fantastic views of the Parliament Building, the Fairmont Empress, and the waterfront. I chose to have lunch at Milestones and was pleasantly delighted by the whole experience. The level of service was outstanding. The server and hostess were nice and approachable. Our waitress was punctual and regularly checked in, and the hostess made sure we had a lovely table overlooking the port. There was a good variety of options on the menu. I began with a Tokyo Negroni, a delectable concoction of sweet vermouth, orange bitters, Campari, Toki whiskey, and Cointreau. I chose the Smashed Black N' Blue Burger for my meal, along with a side order of garlic parmesan fries. Although the burger patties were smaller than the actual burger, they were nonetheless well cooked and juicy. Crispy and tasty were the garlic parmesan fries. abundantly served as well. Without a doubt, I would return to sample their fish offerings.

A solid spot with its own distinct vibe and an impressively long menu…read more Great for groups since there's something for everyone, and the portions are generous. Almost too much for one person. One thing that stood out: unlike most diners that only offer one brewed coffee option, this place lets you choose between regular and dark roast. Small detail, but appreciated. I went on a weekday morning, so there was no wait, but the space isn't very large, so I'd recommend making a reservation during peak hours. Staff were friendly overall, and the atmosphere is worth experiencing. That said, while the food was consistently solid, it wasn't particularly memorable. I ordered the Valentino, smoked salmon and poached egg on an English muffin with avocado, but the avocado was completely unripe, which brought down both the texture and the flavor. With a menu this wide, most dishes land in the "good" rather than "great" range, and execution details like that make a difference. If you're going for variety and the overall experience, you'll be satisfied, but if you're hoping for something exceptional, it may feel a bit underwhelming. Bottom line: a reliable brunch option for groups, as long as you're not setting the bar too high on the food itself.

Little June is a charming coffee shop serving breakfast, brunch, and pastries/baked goods. Fernwood coffee is also available here. We ordered an iced latte and an iced London fog. My particular favourite was the iced latte. I believe they utilize Earl Grey powder for their London fog, and I was pleasantly pleased by how wonderful it tasted. It was unusual because I was not used to the powder but rather the tea bags. The host at the cashier was really kind and provided wonderful service. They have tons of seatings. I loved how open and airy the space was! I'll have to try their brunch the next time I visit. I highly recommend this cute little spot!

I have never had a burger (Bacon Jam) with such succulence and combination of flavors. It was an experience all by itself. I had a side order of the onion soup and it was beyond anything I have eaten in knowing I was getting an originally made onion soup from fresh with the best ingredients. Each was a big enough serving, I had some to take home. One of my friends got the mussels in garlic sauce. The waitress made everything a joyful interaction and the chef served the food. My friend got the mussels in an individual cooking pot. What fun! We had a relaxing time with unforgettably great food in a setting where the staff made our elderly long eating time festive and a memorable event. The Basque Cheesecake was something I've treated myself to again and again. Eating at Blue Heron Bistro was a celebration of friends made more festive and remarkable by food we won't forget.

An absolute must, served warm with a fragrant and flavourful olive oil. The olives are so simple yet the chef adds a ton of behind the scenes flavours (think, marinating in a bunch of complimentary flavours). I ordered the vegan and GF dal one night! Huge portions with fresh shaved vegetables and a generous serving of lentils. A hearty and comforting meal that packs a ton for protein. I was utterly stuffed for hours after this meal.
