Went in for an oil change, and the dealership said they could not do it because they will strip the screw from my oil pan and I would have to pay for a new oil pan, plus labor for the repair. I told them no, and took my car straight to Meineke in which my oil change was last completed. Meineke in Branford was able to change my oil without a problem of "the screw being too tight", as per Milford Mitsubishi told me. I honestly felt like they did not want to do the job, and wanted me to pay for something that would've cost about $950, according to their quote for a new oil pan, which was unnecessary. Terrible experience. Completely regret doing business with this dealership, particular Xavier . He is a liar and scam artists. He lied to me about what my payment would be, hiding fees and final numbers. He said anything he could to get the deal done. He tried to sell me a car with a broken key and I told him I would not do the deal if he was not able to provide a working key. We signed off on a deal that a new key would be provided. Since then, a month later, he has ignored every call and message and has completely scammed me out of this deal. No key has been provided and he will not communicate. This entire establishment is unprofessional and did not know anything about my car they sold me. The way they conduct business is atrocious and you should not consider buying a car from these people. They made me drive 1 hour each way to "see" a car and when I got there they wouldn't let me see the car until I showed them my bank statements. Beware. I purchased a car here. Process was smooth until I got home and looked through some of the documents. Here is a list of the items/fees that were added that I was unaware of and never asked for; Protective VSC - $2,995 Protective Tire and Wheel - $744 Protective Paint and Fabric - $3,190 Protective Etch/Theft - $449 Over $7,000 in unwanted items. These were in addition to the $899 document fee. If I was aware of these I would never have moved forward with buying the car. I was able to cancel the Protective VSC after a hassle, but I cannot cancel the other items. Also the salesperson never responded to my questions. I felt taken advantage of. Other than recall, I NEVER use a dealership for work on any of my cars. $1495 for protection for tired and wheels $2849 for protection for paint and fabric $499 for protection for etch/theft Dealership made a clear profit of $5,888 for services that will never be rendered. I wish I could have had a better experience with buying a car from this dealership. My husband and I went in to look at a 2019 BMW. Our salesman was nice, however, I can't say the same for the finance guy. He was downright rude and treated us like just another number. The sales manager never came out of his office to thank us for our business. It was not a nice experience at all. They would not budge on the negotiable price but did budge on the maintenance package (which are extremely overpriced), which I wanted due to the type of car we were buying. However, we were told we could use this maintenance package at BMW by the salesman, this is not the case. Then we waited for the finance guy and waited, and waited. Then he goes outside to smoke and does not even acknowledge that we were sitting there. Now it is 6pm on a Sunday, they closed at 4pm. We are the only people in the dealership. Maybe, introduce yourself on your way outside and apologize for the long wait and explain why we are waiting so long (banks being closed=longer wait time). Finally get in to speak with him, he's going over the paperwork and shows us the break down. $100 off the price they gave us for our trade was not in there, he tried to say it was somewhere else but it was not, at this point it was $100 so I just let that go, then we get to the VIN Etching. I told him no, take that off. I have never paid for it on a new or used car. He would not budge, claiming "I just work here". I was now getting upset and almost walked out. Dealership fees were almost $1000 and after we left I reread everything and noticed it stated "these fees ARE negotiable, this was not mentioned. Transparency is NOT their strong suit at this dealership so ask ALL your questions before signing anything or you will have the wool pulled over your eyes. Then he charged us for a NEW registration which dealerships have the plates from DMV and can issue at anytime. They would not give me the car on Monday as DMV was closed for the holiday, I thought that was strange but then when I took delivery of the car (with less than a 1/4 tank of gas I would like to note) on Tuesday I saw why. They transferred my current registration! 2 days after I got the car one of the tires began to lose air, I brought it to the dealership to have it looked at on a Thursday at 4:15, service department closes at 5. The service manager was annoyed that we "surprised him" but coming in 45 minutes before they closed to check a tire. Salesman never relayed the message, I thought we had an appointment! Come to find out, the service tech who took my car in on trade knew about this slow leak, it was never fixed and they released the car to me like this. I kept it through the weekend continuously adding air to the tire then dropped it off Monday morning as I didn't feel safe driving it like this! I was told it was a flat tire and needed to be replaced, the car was not even looked at until Tuesday when my appointment was supposed to be for Monday and I did not get the car back until Wednesday afternoon as they had to order a tire! Now, 6 weeks after I purchased the car we dropped it off for a some concerns we noticed over the last few of weeks. A rattling noise that sounds like the car is falling apart when you go over a bump and squeaky brakes. The service manager emails me telling me the front struts were bad as well as the rear shock absorbers (no answer about the brakes yet) and quoted me $4100 for repairs! These items are a safety issue and covered under the CT Lemon Law. I'm sorry, you sell me a car that we paid $40,000 for, not $5000, with a flat tire, squeaky breaks, bad shock absorbers and struts then tell me I have to pay for it!?! I was not excited about my new car purchase and actually felt violated and taken advantage of. I will be reporting to them better business bureau and CT department of consumer protections. please don't buy a used car from here. they tried selling a car that was in an accident, and reported minor damage when it was more than minor. it also needed new brakes at 53k miles, when the Carfax said it was done 2 months ago. there's no damn way. they 100% buy shitty cars from auction and then try to upsell them. they offered to fix the car for an additional 2500, when the car should be inspected and fixed before sold. extremely bad business. doesn't seem like a Mitsubishi dealership, because all of the cars out front are different manufactures. wouldn't you want to advertise your own cars? very strange and very questionable staff, from the finance ahole who acted like he didn't need my business, when you can tell that dealership is hurting, to the service techs who sign off on their work and report it to carfax. nice try guys, but a car sitting for a little while, that supposedly was serviced in may and the brakes were changed, wouldn't have rotor damage like that. I know you think you can get one over on people, but this review is to make sure nobody has to go through the bullshit that you're pulling. maybe new management should be involved or something. you guys remind me of a mom and pop scam dealership. I had a good buying experience at Milford Mitsubishi. I had made an appointment a couple days before, at 9:00am, my salesman arrived at 9:15, but no big deal. Hexwent with me on an extended test drive, which was very helpful in making my decision. I felt they offered a fair trade in price for my car, and the negotiations only took 5 minutes.
