I called for service to fix a Milgard window that was stuck in a half-open position on April 22, 2026 BUT could not get a service appointment until June 19th!! This is implausible! Two months to get a repairman to fix the window?????? Someone needs to explain this to me. However, once Grady & Ricardo arrived, they fixed the window in less that 15 minutes and were on their way. We installed all double pane Milgard Windows throughout our house in 2007. We incorporated Wood Clad windows across the front, plus Milgard Wood Clad French Doors. We're glad that we have a Lifetime Warranty that includes free window repair, but sure would be nice if Milgard was more responsive. If I had to have only waited a week, I would have given them 5 Stars. read more

This company made our warrantee claims process a miserable experience. They made me feel as though I was a Milgard employee. After several months of back and forth emails, the warranty process is closed. They sent a crew out and within 1 hr had 12 windows replaced. Ordered a sliding door from Home depot. It was missing a locking part. They mailed me the part and had a tech come out to install. It was done in about 30 min from the time he arrived and it's working great. The only downside is, the appointment was about 7 weeks out from when I first called about it. read more

We ordered our large picture window almost a year ago. The order came not as we had asked with a smaller bottom window, but as we originally had in our home (side windows). The picture window was flawed with bubbles, so they had to reorder it. The cranks on the side windows didn't work, so we left them closed until our next appointment. Months later, we again moved furniture and took down draperies, but on the morning of the install they said our new window broke going into the truck. Appointment canceled. We waited another 2 months for a new window. They came to finally install, but they didn't send enough men to hold the window--sorry, we have to reschedule. 2 months later a fellow shows up, again we take all the draperies down and move furniture, and he said they don't have our order! My husband asks where it went--and he shakes his head and says he doesn't know. We need to reschedule again. This is the worst customer service we have experienced with anyone in the last decade. We call the office and sales rep. and nothing happens. Complete incompetence! And we are still waiting--it's been a long, long time now. This should be 1 star--I am being generous! read more

Milgard lacks any level of customer service or respect and clearly does not value its smaller customers. We have had nothing but problems with our Milgard products since install and it does not seem to matter what level manager you get on the phone, they will repeatedly speak over you while telling you to talk over them and then make excuses on why it's okay to talk over you. BUYER BEWARE!!! I recently purchase a full house of windows and 5 sets of French doors. Two of the sets of French doors have been serviced because I was unable to lock them on two separate occasions. I just had the rep and two senior techs and manager from Ganahl lumber out to look at them. The rep basically said nothing the entire time. The senior techs said nothing is wrong with my doors. I showed them how they close differently every time I open and close them. Sometimes I have to pull in on the door other times you only pull up. After a while they start grinding then they won't lock. There is nothing consistent about the way they function and I am left wondering if they will lock every time I try to lock them. There is also a gap at the top of the door showing daylight from the interior side when the door is closed. A couple weeks ago a senior tech came out and got one of the doors to lock and said all the doors were sealed wrong at the factory. He resealed every door and got the door that wouldn't lock to lock. I was grateful to have the door locked but still wanted the inconsistent problems with the doors addressed. The group that came out to look at the doors a couple weeks after that appointment said the person who came out to get the doors to lock and sealed them stated the doors were working fine. Totally gaslighting me and acting like there was never an issue with my being unable to lock the door when there clearly was on two separate occasions. I ordered both a window and patio door from True View. I explained that I was doing a renovation on my house and that the door would be installed by my contractor. Unfortunately, much to my surprise, the door came completely disassembled. My contractor couldn't assemble it because then it wouldn't be warranted by Milgard (information I received from Milgard). I contacted Tom Munoz, Senior Sales Rep for Milgard, who actually told me he would be near my area and would come down and help my contractor assemble the window. My contractor showed up, but Tom didn't. After promising to come down, he never showed, and then proceeded to ignore my calls and emails. The door itself is ok. I am not 100% thrilled with it as it seems somewhat flimsy and difficult to lock and unlock. The window is great. read more

Although we did have some problems with the slider doors initially as the window panels appeared wavy, Milgard came out and replaced them all and got it right. After Milgard installed my trumped up custom ESSENCE SERIES patio door...two doors will not close. They sent me an email saying..."Hi Nancy, thank you for requesting Milgard's services. A representative will contact you within 24 hours to schedule an appointment with our technicians". I NEVER contact them for services. I demanded they do the door over, do it right or refund my money so I can move on with anther company. They didn't like that at all and from that point on things went sour and very aggressive. Milgard and their middleman have my downpayment and told me to expense my mistakes since I refused their services. They refused to acknowledge the woodwork on their Essence Series is a joke, the swing wasn't what I had agreed to with their middleman as it's clearly not functional and impossible to fix as it's one unit. The doorhandles and hinges color and style wasn't what I picked out, removing it will leave more markings and scratches on top of dings and dents. The doors will not close properly if/when new hinges are install. The stain job is horrific, clearly not done by a professional licensed stainer. read more

We live in Sedona and needed to have a window replaced. While the scheduling was a couple of months out they showed up on time and had the window replaced in less than a half hour. They arrived at the prescribed time and gave us a call when they were about a half hour out. The replacement wasn't that easy as the window was above a water feature but they did a great job. They were very professional. read more

We had window replaced, I received a text that they would be here between 8-10, at 10:20 still noone. I called c/s to check status, they said it showed 8-10 but on the tech schedule it was 2:30-4:30pm, um Ok? She continued to say that it was some kind of glitch, yeah I'd say so. Anyway the tech called around 2:15 pm, said he was about 45 minutes out, great! Had new windows installed throughout our home, 13 to be exact. Windows are great, but all the screens are 1/2 to 3/4 inch too small. Did not notice this after installation because we didn't open the windows for over a year. Contacted Milgard and was informed "Too Bad" Warranty is only good for one year! Nothing is wrong with the screens except they don't fit and I guess they never did. We paid for screens to fit the windows and never got them. Very poor customer service. read more

Tom Munoz came to my home after the installation of sliders and screens by Freelite. His visit was after the 2nd set of screens didn't work. The screens keep having issues. Everything was installed in 3/22. Seems like every 3 months the new screens arrive but they never fit correctly. Freelite just came again but one screen is fixed but not the 2nd one. I replaced all my windows with Milgard vinyl windows that qualified for an energy savings tax rebate. I also liked their website which showed all the models and how easily they open and close with one nice sized handle. However, they don't hold up to the Arizona sun. The frames of the windows that face west and get full sun warp. One window also warped. The technician came today and fixed that one window but said he could do nothing about the frames hinting that they don't fix installation problems (??) or that the sun screens I have on them could cause warping. They warped before I put up the sun screens. They would have to be replaced but I'm afraid new ones would also warp. So beware. read more

We purchased 30+ Trinsic series (vinyl) windows and 2 large glass doors from Milgard for a new home build. At the time we placed the order for the windows, Milgard's lead time to deliver windows was 6 months. The windows were stored while awaiting the installation which was mid-winter and very cold. We hired two different contractors to install the windows when we noticed there was significant chipping and cracking with the first contractor. The second contractor was also unable to install the windows without the vinyl windows chipping; however, they were just too brittle, as a result, almost every one of the black vinyl window frames have bright white showing where they chipped. When contacting Milgard for support I was informed they would do nothing to resolve the quality issues because the windows were ordered too long ago and sited poor installation even though multiple contractors were used. There are also other issues with the quality of the windows. There are also significant air gaps creating whistling noises and mis-aligned sashes on the single hung windows. The threshold on the 4-panel sliding glass door (vinyl) also has multiple chips from walking over it which shows the underlying while coloring against the black threshold. Milgard's solution for the window and threshold chips is to touch them up with a black marker. They have completely ignored the air gaps, mis-aligned sashes, and the problem with the threshold consistently chipping. I would highly recommend purchasing another window product. After my experience, I have come to realize why they have blocked reviews on the ir Facebook page. Milgard has demonstrated to me they are a company that will not stand behind the quality of their product and looks for loopholes to avoid helping customers with viable solutions or repairs. read more

The products are good - we fitted all new windows and doors to our house and they have stood the test of time, and the brutal Arizona sun. But the best aspect of Milgard is their aftercare. Their regional Technician is a gentleman by the name of Dale, who is absolutely the best - skilled, efficient, helpful and friendly. When there are so many competing products to choose from, after-sales service is a vitally important differentiator. So by happy accident we chose Milgard, and Dale's service makes us very glad we did. read more

If you get one of these windows, pray you have no problems. There customer service is unresponsive. I have initial quality issues with my window. It will be able 4 months between install and when they (may) finally be out for repair. I tried twice to get an updated status on my case (case number included in the reply email to their previous emails) and never got a response. I had to call to find out what was going on, and was told - miraculously - that they had finally established a tentative repair date today for 3 weeks out. This is absolutely unacceptable. I would not have purchased this window if I knew it would be this difficult to get service. read more

This company will not honor the warranty because they say I am not the original owner and have fought me over this. I bought this house brand new and the only other people on the title were the owners of the property. So apparently they will not live up to the contract. Even send them a picture of the original sale poster that shows new Home for sale Jan/06 and we bought it Feb/06. Sure sounds like a new house and owner. Nobody should by the windows from them. milguard warranty service poor. waited 1 1/5 months for service to replace defective glass with inside mini blind. the day before the service appointment they called only to advise they didn't have the replacement and was rescheduling to september 11 another 1 1/5 month wait. three months total is ridiculous. i don't recommend this company. very disappointed milguard victim. in continuation. they came to replace glass last wednesday 8-7-19 and due to inability of one technician helping the other to carry the glass upstairs managed to hit stair railing breaking glass inside our home. they advised would return in two that's two weeks with new glass. ha ha...received email next appointment in middle of october !! horrible horrible company.. lousy service......take this into serious consideration when considering windows and doors. these were purchased at lowe's in tempe, baseline mcclintock store. read more

I called their warranty department to speak with someone about my client's ability to be covered after they purchased a home. They will no be covered last the end of this month due to the date of install being 10 years ago this month... But, the woman who answered the phone was very pleasant, had a beautiful speaking voice and the room she was working in was actually quiet... So despite how irritated I started to become based on my client's inability to be covered for some time after they get into their new home... The soothing tone of their warranty person made it all better. Good job Milgard, I'd put your windows on my home. read more

Milgard has horrible customer service. We have had them out here at least five times and my sliding door is still not fixed. There are days we cannot open it and there are days we cannot close it, causing a security issues. It takes forever to get through to a live person to schedule an appointment. Then they will schedule you to weeks out which is a problem when you cannot shut your sliding door. I'm beyond frustrated at the lack of concern and the fact that they can't get this right. read more

I'm currently about half a year into replacing all my windows with Milgard Ultra Series. I chose Milgard because of the quality and the newer warranty terms. I'm kinda a perfectionist, so I decided to install myself. I'm ordering mine through Lowes and Home Depot depending on who has the 15% off at the time. I only order 7 windows at a time. That way I can find any issues in a timely manner. Like most companies, they don't like a call two or three months after receiving product that there's shipping or noticeable manufacturing issues. The windows come very tightly and well packaged. My first group came with one frame issue and two glass panel scratches. I will be honest and say, you must have a little patience when it comes to their customer service. I'm not sure what their issues are, but it took about 3 months to get everything resolve. The service techs are awesome, once they finally get to you. So far I have had everything resolved to my satisfaction. I have one order in process and then one to go. I will follow up with a final review, once all windows are installed. read more
