Finally tried Milkcraft! Not sure what all the fuss is about. A large cup is over $10.00. I tried the caramel and sea salt. The ice cream was very soft and began to melt and drip over the sides of the cup almost instantly. Very messy. Overall, it was way too sweet, making it taste artificial . The caramel popcorn served on top was overkill. There are much better ice cream shops, including Dairy Queen down the street. This made the last bits of the waffle really soggy since the ice cream melted due to the temperature of the waffle. We really enjoyed the combo of the churro cinnamon sugar with the coffee and condensed milk flavors. We thought the ice cream was hella good and the texture was on point - super creamy and held it's peaks when scooping it up with a spoon. I want to like this place but it's so small and overblown that coming feels almost like a chore. If there were separate entry and exits it would probably alleviate a lot of the headache I feel when I come here. The clientele is also sometimes very.. trying to be around. The constant line out the door and the whole process of making each cone is rough but I do love the final product most of the time - the flavors with savory notes that I've tried have always been way too salty so I try to stay away (and this is coming from someone who loves sweet and savory flavors together). Lately I've had the bourbon breakfast which was excellent and not overpowering, and the Vietnamese coffee which is delicious if not slightly.. pornographic with the condense milk topping the waffle bubble cones are also very fun, probably wouldn't order one without. My friends and I finally tried milkcraft on a warm afternoon in January when we thought we would be lucky and there wouldn't be a huge line out the door. We were mostly right. We waited about 10 minutes to order with only one family ahead of us. We each got bubble cones and one scoop of ice cream which ended up being about $28 in total. The cone was ok and not sweet like I expected it to be. I got the smores ice cream which had a huge marshmallow on top toasted perfectly and chocolate ice cream with crumbled graham crackers on top. I'll probably get two scoops next time because half the ice cream ends up melting into the cone. The ice cream itself is very, very good and worth coming back for. They also sell take home pints and if you come back with the empty pint glass they'll knock a dollar of your order. We came at 10 p.m on a Friday night and it was a good 20 minutes wait, but they do have line management down to a science and all things considered it was pretty fast. I'm honestly not even sure where to start with this place, I am always that blown away by how good it is. The place has a really cute vibe to it, hanging lights, a fire it and couches outside, and a chalkboard art wall inside. All the ice cream is made fresh for each order, and man can you taste it! My first time here i was only in CT for 2 days, and after having this the first night, we had to come back for it again before we left the next day. The ice cream is incredibly creamy, and paired with the warm bubble waffle cone (an actual fluffy waffle that they stuff your ice cream into) its a match made in heaven, no matter what flavor you choose! They have a really unique selection of combinations, my two favorites are the milk & cereal, and the campfire s'mores. I live in New Jersey and i frequently drive an hour to come here. I recommend this spot to everyone who likes ice cream, it's definitely one of those must-try foodie spots! Sometimes the line is out the door, but believe me its well worth the wait!! If he would've said that from the beginning I would've have understood, but I had already paid for my order and he said it only after I let him know that what he did was unsanitary. So it was ironic to see the worker try to be spiteful because he was being disgusting. This was suberb and worked on so many levels, from the crunchy popcorn to the warm bubblecone. But the S'mores Campfire wasn't great. It was just a super dense single giant scoop of chocolate ice cream with a small amount of graham cracker dust and an awkward giant marshmallow that was difficult to incorporate into the bites.
