I came here after waiting for my connecting flight. I ordered the baby kale and grain salad to-go and was pleasantly surprised with the salad. It took about 10-15 minutes for my order and when I received it, it was placed in a pretty big bag, which I thought was unnecessary and should only given if someone asks for one. But the salad itself had a good amount of variety, including strawberries and walnuts, and the dressing was mixed in. The ranch was very subtle and light by default. Overall, I would come back here if I were back at this airport. Like other vendors in this area of the airport, there is a 4.5% employee wellbeing fee.

Burger drink and chips side of ranch for the chips. Only the rootbeer was good. Disappointing

I really thought this burger was going to be good! But it wasn't. It tasted like old meat and I was afraid to eat it. You order from your phone and have to pay and do tip ahead of time. I wanted the donut burger I saw online but must be on old Menu as it wasn't an option. I was looking forward to The "onsite"made chips but they also tasted old and were just okay. Service was okay. It was right next to my gate so that was convenient. The bottled Boylan rootbeer was good! I didnt eat the burger so it was just a waste all the way around.

Arrived early to the airport and had time for breakfast. I was pleasantly surprised. I've ordered the veggie omelet, and added bacon (I know, the irony...) and the veggies were perfectly cooked, had a bite to them, but were also soft, the amount of goat cheese was perfect and the bacon, ah, the bacon... it was perfectly crispy!!! I like my toast on the darker side, so that was also perfect. The staff is amazing, super warm, kept checking on me even in a place where you order everything from an iPad. Which is pretty easy to use, BTW. They lost a star because my coffee was cold. Can't handle cold coffee at 6 am. Would definitely recommend Mill City Tavern at the MSP Airport.

My friend and I were in this area of the airport and needed some dinner during a long layover. We ended up at Mill City Tavern because we wanted a place to sit down and relax a bit. Each seat has an ipad to order from, but we also had a couple servers come by with water and to check on us. I'm a pretty tech-savvy millennial but I found the ipad ordering clunky and not very user-friendly. Plus there are tons of ads on the screen which is distracting and confusing. They also offer lots of "add-ons" including chapstick, which I thought was weird. Definitely be careful not to order anything you don't want! The menu is very limited and prices are super high - of course this is an airport, but I was a little surprised at the prices even then. I was hoping for some healthier options but none of the salads interested me, so I ended up getting a burger. My friend got the veggie burger that was mostly just mashed roasted beets, kind of strange and not what we were expecting. My burger was cooked to the right temp but was dry and not very flavorful. The fries were good, but nothing special. The tomato on the burger was really terrible - super mealy and zero flavor. Unfortunately, I paid $22 for a pretty bad burger. I should've been more wary due to the low Yelp ratings, but I generally have had pretty good experiences with airport food even despite dismally low scores at most airport restaurants. Not so at Mill City Tavern, unfortunately. I definitely wouldn't eat here again, but I might come back for a glass of wine and to relax as the dining area is pretty comfortable even if a bit crammed in. The booth seats were cozy. There are outlets at each table so it would be a good place to charge your phone and hang out for a bit if you have a long layover. Just get some food elsewhere!

Wild mushroom poutine...a little salty but overall yummy!

During my layover in MSP, I decided to stop and get some lunch. After a quick glance at yelp, I settled on Mill City Tavern. I actually sat in the gate area by Mill City Tavern as they have tablets at the tables where you can order directly, and they will bring the food to you. The whole process was efficient and easy. In terms of the food, I was not disappointed! I ordered the wild mushroom poutine, and it was yummy! Was it the best poutine I've ever had? No, but it was definitely tasty! I will admit that they were a bit heavy handed with the salt. Aside from that, there was plenty of melty cheese curds, and the sauce had a nice complexity of flavor. What really made the experience for me was the awesome service! The servers were warm and friendly. For example, when bringing my food, they automatically brought a glass of ice water too. Granted they also gave a plastic straw, so perhaps we'll need to have a discussion about saving sea turtles, but it is the Midwest after all, so this probably hasn't made it to them yet. Also, after I asked for a box to keep the leftovers, they brought an eco-friendly box with utensils and extraneous napkins. Win! They also gave me a colorful plastic bag to put everything in (again, need to have a discussion about plastic waste). All-in-all, I had a wonderful experience. I would definitely come here again if I had the opportunity.

It had want I wanted for my aunt: an attached parking lot and lots of flat surfaces. It also had what I wanted for a perfect July day: an outdoor, covered patio! Service: When we peeked in the patio, a server said "pick any table you want, i'll be back with a basket." There were maybe 10 tables. The "basket" had silverware, napkins, menu and the QR code for ordering. The server explained that we got our own water and could order inside or through the QR. That is always a little annoying to me (Karen!) but the water was full, the food came out quickly, and they checked on us and cleared the plates in a reasonable manner. Food: I order steak salads as my go too and sometimes the steak is tough: not this steak! It was as smooth as butter! Delicious. Their chicken tinga taco bowl is pretty darn good but the pizza is meh. Today I came and had a glass of Sauvignon blanc and a small house salad with dressing on the side. The wine was lukewarm which, first world problems right? But if I'm paying $9 for a glass of white wine, come on bro serve it chilled. The dressing came on the side but they omitted the croutons and roasted pecans for some unknown reason and there was a small black hair at the very bottom. Plus you have to serve yourself water, no one checks on you, you submit your order via an app (not a problem I just don't see expecting a twenty percent tip for near non service despite society moving that way) and no one asks, hey is your salad shittier than expected? They don't care. Lol. Patio is cute though.

I also appreciated the obligatory warning about the melted middle of my Lucy. Speaking of which, I tried the #7 Burger (it was recommended when I asked as it had more cheese and bacon). The Burger was flavorful and perfectly cooked. The cheese cheater exploded as a good Lucy should. A 10/10 experience. The hand-cut fried added to the experience and were a great compliment to the burger The beer was cold and refreshing, the food superb, and the staff welcoming. Not much more one can ask for. Prices are airport high - $16 for breakfast without coffee or juice. I had the grilled spam and egg sandwich. The hash browns were slightly crispy with tender shredded potatoes - nice job! The spam sandwich was okay. The meat was about 1/4 inch thick. There wasn't enough meat to Really give you much spam taste. It needed to be grilled so that it had grill marks to bring out the spam flavor. The eggs were nicely cooked - tender and moist. The cheese piece was very prominent - just kinda there. The bagel was soft and slightly chewy. No extra flavor...just a good plain bagel. My wife really liked her granola and yogurt mix. She said the granola tasted freshly made. The muffin that came with it was very good - moist, soft, easy to pull apart. It was slightly sweet with pieces of berries that accented the taste.
