I had high expectations for this restaurant....the food was OK, I had the chicken noodle soup (bland), an Old Fashioned (good), and steak frites (not cooked to my doneness level). My problem was that all the food came at once. So my steak got cold while I tried to eat the scalding soup....gave that up and had the steak to let the soup cool. It is my massive pet peeve when they don't pace the meal. The server forgot to ring my check and had to chase me down in the bar next door to have me sign again...I did check my CC statement to ensure I was not double charged. Our server was quite a delight. A mature man who made sure everything was delivered timely. Our meal choices may have been the best of what they have. Maybe we got in on a good night. Whatever the reason, it was all pretty darned good and I would recommend anyone waiting at the airport to head over and check it out. It's an inviting place but more casual, at times a bit cozy. Wow! This place is gorgeous. I did not expect something so beautiful in an airport hotel. Somewhere between chic lodge and classy resort, this restaurant blends comfort and elegance. We had great service from everyone we encountered, especially our server (thanks, Alex), who was very helpful and attentive. There are tons of options for beverages, including some great zero proof options. I went with the N/A Manhattan and was very pleased with it--smooth and just a bit sweet, it was perfect for the vibe. The food is creative, tasty, and nicely presented. We thought everything looked good, so wound up ordering a lot. Although we had asked for the dishes to come out in courses, everything wound up coming out at once, which was both good and bad. On the plus side, I probably would have had trouble getting through my main had I finished the salad beforehand, so I was glad that I got a look at the portions (generous, if you are wondering). On the not so great side, there's absolutely no way everything would be able to fit on our table. (Luckily, we had an early reservation, so we were able to borrow the empty two-top next to ours.) The spinach salad was a creative take on the classic: tender spinach, marinated shallots, raspberry vinaigrette (and freeze-dried raspberries), plus herby Boursin. For my main, I got the mushroom melt, which was really great. Grilled sourdough, spinach, mushrooms, and raclette with mushroom jus for dipping--pure savory delight that comes with a side of crispy seasoned fries. For other sides, we had the broccolini, which is char-grilled and served with an herby, zippy Green Goddess dressing; the carrots, which come with a fresh carrot-top pesto; and the baguette, which is heated en papillote with rosemary and comes with some lovely butter sprinkled with salt and thyme. Everything is highly recommended, but my favorite was the mushroom melt. The dessert menu had one option that was so intriguing that I couldn't pass up the opportunity to try it--the toasted marshmallow profiteroles. Toasted marshmallow ice cream? Bourbon caramel? Sign me up. I wasn't entirely sure what to expect, but it was really tasty! They actually grill the marshmallows, so you get a bit of smokiness and burned sugar, just like you would if you'd toasted the marshmallow over a campfire. Mmm. read more

Breakfast review (hotel dining has different menus and times) Stayed at Intercontinental Hotel and my stay included breakfast. Only 1 waitress at 7am but room wasn't too busy. Ordered the Americana breakfast - delicious and extremely generous portion (too much for me for a meal). Waitress offered to box but I was flying out and didn't want to deal with food thru tsa and passed. She surprised me with ToGo box for the biscuit and included a mini jar of jam. While the posted price seemed high, considering location (airport hotel) as well as quantity and quality of food, I'd eat here again. read more

My husband and I visited La Vota Brasserie after a night's stay at the Intercontinental Hotel MSP. It was a beautiful spot with lots of windows with natural light, and even noted some decor inspiration I hope to put in my own home. The Eggs Benedict was exquisite and very filling. The coffee was exactly what I needed for our early morning departure. I think this will be a great place to visit even when not staying at the hotel. read more

Truly decent. Honestly, a darn good airport hotel restaurant. The burger is the shinning achievement of the menu. A really flavorful and well constructed and layered hamburger. Accompanied by a kale salad and truffle fries, and it makes a really nice late evening meal. The service is attentive and kind. The atmosphere is nice, and truly a function of the airport hotel status of the restaurant. Not bad, but not a luxury experience. All and all, this is a place that is worth a visit if you find yourself in the MSP airport for an extended layover or cancelled flight. My one gripe - the stemware is really underwhelming - especially for $20 wine pours. An upgrade to Riedel glasses will go a long way to enhance the dining experience. read more

Visited several times over a hotel stay. Service is friendly and courteous. Ambience is good. Food is hit or miss. Standout is burrata! Fresh with charred bread & peas that pop. Also excellent is pimento cheese dip with housemade chips, fried coconut ice cream & a beautiful & tasty La Voya 75 cocktail. Well had breakfast this morning here at hotel. And must say horribly disappointed. Service was terrible!!! Was put in a weird corner table and it went down hill from there. Sat at table for almost 10 mins before waiter came and asked if I wanted a drink. Asked for bottle of water and coffee. Told no bottled water but he would bring me a carafe of water. Never got the water. Took about 30 mins to get my food. When it came my poached eggs were obviously under a heat lamp for a while as the yoked was hard. My hollandaise sauce was very dried out. My hash browns were absolutely petrified and cold. I watched him wait on other tables left and right and never come and ask how things were or if I needed more coffee. Straight up awful! read more

This is the hotel bar at the Intercontinental at MSP airport. Brian the bartender was pre-occupied with other things. Mind you this was Christmas Eve afternoon. We ordered drinks first, and it took probably 25 minutes for him to circle back for food orders. We ordered moules frites and they came out and they were lukewarm. The frites we're warm though. The flavor of the moules was good but it would have been much better if they were hot. The bread was decent and slightly chewy. The drink selection was decent, including a number of local beers. They also carry a bubbly cava. If I were to swing by this hotel again, I'd opt for the other bar (Bradstreet). read more

Here me out, I'm on a mission to find the best oysters in town, so I had a craving. Everyday, they said they get shipped fresh oysters from around the world, so they're always different. With this being said, I feel like they tried to over power the actual flavor of the delicious oysters they had by putting very strong orange zest on top, and habanero bitters tincture (which I could taste the alcohol preservative in). All of this was too much for someone that actually enjoys the taste of oyster. Too much fluff! So I was vocal about this, and they made it right by giving me a very scaled down version of the oysters, without the orange zest, only lemon and Siracha and I'll tell you what... these things were amazing! Sometimes simple is best! Josh was my server and he was awesome, he listened to me, did what was right, and delivered outstanding service. I will give this place another chance because the ambiance was great and they did mention they were still playing around with their oyster presentation and flavors. Due to Covid, I picked up my order and ate it in the hotel room. The Steak Frite ($32) was tasty and I felt it was of value. The steak, truffle fries, and asparagus left you feeling comfrtably full and had great taste. My wife on the other hand had the ravioli ($25) and talk about a sad joke -- it was probably less than 16 oz of pasta total. Honestly, it wasn't anything magical on the taste spuds either. I had the cheesecake ($10) with fresh seasonal berries. You can see for yourself what that means. Wife had the tarimasu ($10) which she enjoyed. Both deserts probably came right off the back of the Sysco food truck - I'd like to know the profit margin on these two items. Add in two 20oz bottles of soda + a tip and this meal came out to $100. For that price, I'd expect slightly larger portions - especially on the pasta. read more

The food is excellent and the service is impeccable. Amy was our server on a Sunday evening after our flight arrived and we checked into the Hotel Intercontinental. The restaurant is attached to the hotel, but that's another story. Amy brought us a complimentary amuse bouche, consisting of sausage with a pickled onion and pickled mustard seeds. It was delightful. The mustard seeds pop in your mouth because they are tender from being cooked and pickled. Not too hot either. It was perfect with the beer my husband ordered (quite a variety of craft brews). We enjoyed the walleye. Perfectly seared and flaky. The lentils were cooked perfectly. My husband ordered the steak au poivre with a compound butter and pureed potatoes. Spectacularly, the pistachio strawberry Pavlova is a must-try. It is evident that they have a seasoned pastry chef on staff because this plated dessert has many elements that work in perfect harmony. A scoop of Izzy's strawberry ice cream sits atop of lime curd, while a dollop of crème fraîche finishes the fresh berries on the sizable meringue which is packed with pistachios! I mean...if you're here you're trapped at the hotel and you have no choice. But it would be nice to have a halfway decent restaurant hotel experience, no? Was here on the night before a big snowstorm, so hotel was packed with travelers like myself, either stuck due to canceled flights or trying to get to the airport night before so as not to miss their flight. Ambience was decent! Very French bistro. Staffing was a major issue, I was warned by the bartender that food was taking a while but took 48 minutes to get a pastrami sandwich. Sandwich was decent, and tiramisu was I took back to the room was actually really good! But they were woefully understaffed and disorganized...with enough people working and more effective management I think this place could be a 4 star read more

Twice in the last 8 days! First time was with 2 adults and 2 children for breakfast, so good! From the children's menu to the egg white omelette, so tasty! Pricing was very fair. Titch slow on the service end but worth it! Second time for late dinner, party of 1. Brussels sprouts and beet salad was really good, and the bread basket is dangerously nummy! The staff was incredibly slow, which was surprising given how few people where seated. It took too long to get drinks at both Bradstreet and when we were seated for dinner at La Voya. We had to ask specifically for the La Voya menu, which again seems silly since that's the restaurant we were eating at ... steak was unevenly prepared. Burger was over cooked ... and the parking validation we were given (after chasing the server down) did not work. Safe to say we won't be back. read more

The location looks nice, the people are nice. The service is slow. OMG so slow. Went there for dinner last night and breakfast now. At dinner we sat down at 10. Left at 10:55. We ordered their chips and dip and some pad Thai. Waitress sat us down, then we didn't see her for 10 minutes. Mind you the place was pretty empty. Place the order, maybe 20 minutes for the chips. Potato chips. They were fine and their dip was like onion dip you can make at home. So way over priced. We got the pad Thai to go. Then waited for bill. Had to get up and leave to find waitress. Pad Thai was not great, sticky, sweet. Guess what I should expect. This morning same thing. People nice, but sat me at bar to order food to take out. Then waited to order. Then waited for food...waffle and Nutella. It was as good as the free ones you can make at the hotels that have the free breakfasts, where you can make the yourself and not wait 20 minute so yeah... Trapped in the hotel, guess I have to eat here. But prices are very high, I read another review that said they were reasonable, guess we have different expectations of reasonable. Had a wonderful experience dining in this restaurant. The dining room is elegantly decorated with comfy plush couches for seating. I was waited on by very professional and friendly staff, who paid close attention to detail, and made sure my bread basket and water was always refilled. I went with my waiters recommendations for the evening, the walleye, a white flaky and mild fish, in a bed of lentils. It was just the right amount of food and absolutely delicious! This restaurant is conveniently located close to the airport, and I highly recommend a stop over during your travels! read more
