Had an amazing time yesterday at a sweet 16 at this venue. Super clean and modern location. Plenty of parking. Staff is very nice and friendly. Also attentive. The Photo Booth was a hit. Food was great! Loved the seasoning on everything and the dessert bar at the end. The red velvet cake was also good. At the bar you can pay cash or card. I have been to a few events here and when it was time to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary I looked into using Mill Creek. I couldn't have been more pleased. From the day we went over our options with Joan till it was time to say good bye to our guests everything went smooth, Great setup, our buffet was perfect, an attentive staff throughout the event, a nice bar area with a friendly bartender and the cake that came with the package from Katie Ross Bakery was a great finish to our event. My great aunt's 90th birthday party was held here. When we arrived, we were sitting in a ballroom. There was plenty of room for all the people that attended. I like the set up and the decorations. They had a bartender. The bartender carded me which is expected.The drinks were pretty good, I had the bartender make me a couple of mock tails and those were hit or miss. If I required this place for an event in the future, I would definitely consider it based on the space it provides and my directions with the staff. read more

The law firm I work at recently hosted a retirement party at Mill Creek Caterers. The food was delicious, the price was reasonable, and the staff was very accommodating. We requested gluten free, diary free and soy free dishes due to dietary restrictions. The chefs worked with us and served several dishes in both the regular and diary free versions at our buffet. The venue provided gorgeous flowers for the tables, which saved us the expense of purchasing centerpieces. Our room included a spacious outdoor area. Although the guests mainly stayed inside, the view of the outdoor foliage and fireplace was stunning. The outdoor area is perfect for a cocktail hour. We received many compliments on the venue. We liked having the option of an open bar or cash bar. The bartender was extremely nice. For our presentation at the party, we had the use of a projector to show a video, microphone and high-top table which was used as a podium. Also available to show media was a flat screen TV in the bar area. I highly recommend Mill Creek Caterers for your next party or gathering. read more

Nye celebration. MY ASS. THE ABSOLUTE MOST PATHETIC EVENT I EVER ATTENDED IN MY LIFE!!! To start there were no festive decoration. A bland boring small "ball room" then 40 minutes in the appetizers started coming with the servers asking "would you guys like some of these" real classy. ICE COLD FUCKING APPS. THEY HAD FOUR DIFF APPS THAT SUCKED. I've had better frozen appetizers from the supermarket. I actually called the catering hall from my seat and when the person answered the phone I asked "when are the warm real appetizers gonna be served? He chuckled then hung up. Them there was the meat and cheese table ( I put more out for my family on a week night then they did. The meets were so dried out I told my fiancé that they were probably leftovers from Easter. Then the "big" dinner. They had a (maybe) 3!lb pc of meat on the carving station that the girl could not even cut (prob her first time serving) they had pieces of fish stuffed that smelled worst than low tied at Orchard beach. I do have one positive thing to say tho. The bruschetta on the mini toasts were really good (prob because they bought it already made from restaurant depot or some other wholesale company. Just attended a wedding there. Here's the problem with this place... you have a staff that does a very good job and a talentless manager who runs the place. The food was very good - not outstanding, but nobody was disappointed... the food was good. Service from the bartenders and waitstaff was very good. All very kind and respectful. The property is not bad. A few decent spots for photos, nothing outstanding, but it was really fine. The talentless manager who runs this place (Kevin) is arrogant and unprofessional. Wedding party arrives on time to find nothing is ready - rooms are not ready for them, bride is stuck in a closet to get ready, and good ol' Kevin strolls in at the last minute and needed to be reminded that he has chairs to set up, guests are arriving and he's done nothing to get this wedding started. A total disaster. Bride is upset, mother of the bride is upset, everyone is starting their day off upset because Kevin couldn't get up early enough to do his job properly. In a day and age where the economy sucks and this guy is able to get thousands of dollars from people, you'd think he'd show up more than an hour before a wedding begins to start setting up his catering hall. Long story short, staff worked their butts off and did a great job but I would not recommend this place, solely on the fact that the manager of the place tortured the wedding party and their immediate family. There was absolutely no need to start the day of their wedding off so stressfully. UNACCEPTABLE. Your welcome, Kevin. Next time, pay attention to the people who are trying to give you a clue, instead of telling them to "leave it to the professionals". Went there today for brunch with Santa. There were 12 of us in total, two of which are handicapped - 1 with a prosthetic leg and walks with a cane, the other with knee and back issues. Both have handicapped stickers in their vehicles. As they proceeded to look for handicapped parking, we noticed an orange dodge ram pickup truck with no handicapped permit parked in handicapped. The truck was parked in such a way that it took up both handicapped spaces. The parking lot was packed and the only parking was far away and these two people had to walk quite a distance to get into the venue. A member of our party called Fishkill police who immediately came. The officer advised us it was the owners vehicle and he placed a courtesy call to the owner and did not issue him a ticket. How sad that the owner does not respect those who are handicapped. Never going back there again. read more

Actually, a one star rating is too high for this venue. The venue in itself is acceptable. The staff is friendly and as helpful as they can possibly be while they tiptoe around an unstable boss who lashes out at all around him. Within the first half-hour of arriving for a wedding, we were treated to Kevin's fury repeatedly. It started with him stunning the photographer by screaming at her because she had the nerve to say that he had been inaccessible all day, when he in fact, he had been inaccessible all day. That was followed a short while later by a verbal whipping of an employee that horrified anyone that could hear him...which was everyone, because even though this was occurring in the kitchen, we could hear the horrible things he said to degrade, humiliate, and whip this poor, unfortunate soul into submission clear across the venue. Why? Because he had had the audacity to accept the centerpieces from a member of the bridal party before they left to West Point for the ceremony. According to Kevin, he was way too useless and stupid to be allowed to speak to a customer. Now, to back up for a minute, let me mention that everyone (but Kevin, clearly) had been very happy with this arrangement and HAD Kevin been accessible, like he say's he has been for 20 years (???), the centerpieces could have been left with him instead of a staff member. When we thought that this couldn't be topped, Kevin surprised us yet again by his rude behavior to a member of the bridal party who had a simple request. By the way, the f-bombs that fly out of this classy guys mouth go way beyond a drunken sailors. (Sorry to any drunken sailors out there.) Upon our arrival from the ceremony, some of us had to use the rest rooms, but the lights were off. When someone asked if the lights could be turned on in the rest rooms, Kevin refused to do so! He said the lights were "on a system" and couldn't be turned on. What??? Even the vendors had to set up in the dark! Everyone from staff, to vendors, and even to wedding guests were treading on eggshells all night long to avoid setting this lunatic off. Even so much as not to object to the ridiculous and outdated (by thirty years or so) methods he employed in his management of the event. The bride and groom deserved so much better than what they got, and the rest of us reveled in their day despite the mangled event management and temper tantrums of Kevin. And a note to Kevin... based on the rave reviews you received all night long, maybe it's time for a career change. Maybe one that doesn't involve people. Or service. read more

My family & I attended Easter Brunch at their catering/restaurant and I have to say it was Awful! The food selection was minimal, poor quality food, as well cold sterno food all for $35 per person.The described waffle station consisted of cold hard waffles and canned whip cream with over ripe strawberries. After standing in a 20 min line for an omelet station which had five selections off additives and no egg whites or substitute I received a crispy (burnt) omelet. The wait staff seemed overwhelmed and staff was unorganized. I live in this area and have to say I will never be back nor will I recommend this place. read more

I loved the package they offered where all the particulars were included from Cake to Photo Booth to DJ ! Vendors were all excellent. The food was very good and perfect for the occasion. Sometime in the latter part of April, I contacted Arbor Ridge to schedule an appointment to see the venue. I was given an appointment for Sunday, May 3rd, which we confirmed. On May 3rd, I arrived 30 minutes early and waited until my appointment. Ten minutes before I knocked and no one answered. I called and still no answer. I left a message that I was waiting outside; to my surprise there was no answer. I waited for another 45 minutes. Finally I gave up. Again, I left a message that I was there and up to this day, June 1st no one has ever returned my call, email, to even reschedule the appointment. I will never book anything there again. I had my daughters Sweet 16 party there. The food was good but the owner Kevin has no people skills! He is the rudest man I have ever met. The party is to start @ 6 and at 4:30 we couldn't get in to the room to set up. My DJ couldn't set up. We were told to come back @ 5:30! Really 5:30!!! While I'm there trying to get everything in order this man Kevin (the owner) says to me that he doesn't have a record of my deposit. The deposit that I paid when I booked the place. As of 2 weeks prior I was paid in full! Nice way to start the party. The party was from 6-10pm, we wanted to go another hour and this guy tell us $600 for 1 more hour. It was a cash bar. What is the $600 for? I was willing to pay but not $600 for him to keep the lights on. He had the nerve to say "if you don't like it, you can get out of here" What a jerk!!! I just had my parent's anniversary here. Everything went so well. I have never planned such an event in a catering hall before so I was super nervous about everything working out well. The guest raved about how well the food was prepared and the generous amount of seasoning that was used to make the food flavorful. Kevin is no longer there as the manager who I never had an issue with but the new manager is incredibly nice. He is very accommodating and really does what he can to put the customers at ease so that your event runs smoothly. The wait staff was also quite hard working and kind as well. read more

They even worked so well with the decorates and DJ. I think this place has come a long way and has significantly improved. We recently had a Sweet 16 party for our daughter and thanks to Kevin's lack of responsibility and professionalism , it was a mess. First of all, he told us that we had only one hour to decorate because there was a party before us. What kind of professional books party's back to back like that with only an hour in between to prepare. When we arrived to decorate we find out that they were setting up the wrong room. So now not only were we scrambling to decorate the room but the servers were now scrambling to set up the correct room. The room was put together so fast and sloppy. The food table looked thrown together. I had to ask for a tablecloth to put on a little square table I found in the corner of the room to use as a gift table. We only had one waitress for 50 people. We were supposed to have a bartender to serve virgin tropical drinks to the kids but because Kevin forgot what room we were in he did not have a bartender for us. At the last minute we suddenly had a bartender but he was also supposed to be the other waiter so that is why we only had one waitress. When I tried to speak to Kevin about my dissatisfaction, he was rude and unprofessional. If that is how he treats his clients, I don't know how he stays in business. His appearance alone was disgusting. he was dressed in dirty pants and a dirty shirt covered in food. What kind of manager dresses like that when hosting a party? He harrased us about serving the cake while my daughter was in the middle of a speech and slideshow for us. We were trying to listen to our daughter and the waitress comes over and says Kevin wants to serve the cake. He is adamant about having the cake by 10 pm. It was 9:30 pm, my daughter was in the middle of speaking. My husband had to get up and go into the kitchen to speak to Kevin so they would stop bothering us about the cake. When my husband approached him, Kevin says, I've been doing this for 30 years and after the food the people want their cake and coffee. We had a room full of teenagers who could care less about coffee. my husband had to tell him, when our daughter was finished that is when we will bring out the cake. Really, isn't that our choice? We are the ones paying for the party. All in all, it was a huge disappointment. Kevin ruined the night for us. The room was messy. The food was just thrown out on the table. It had no flair or neatness like we had expected. Kevin put no effort into making this an enjoyable event for us. You would think in his line of business he would do everything and anything to please the customer so that he would continue to get repeat business and referrals . I do want to say the two servers that we did have were wonderful. They did try very hard to do a good job for us. Kevin doesn't deserve to have good employees like that because he treats them horribly. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else to have your event. It's a beautiful place. it's a shame it's run by an idiot. read more

Went to a very overpriced Mother's Day buffet there today. Food was bad - for example, they had grocery store bagels. Lines for omelets and waffles were too long - with only one person making each. and for this we had to pay an 18% gratuity. My husband thought it was the worse place he had ever eaten and felt terrible that he brought me there for Mother's Day. No atmosphere either - just a big room with numbers on the tables......
