    Wings!

If you want incredible food and a fun atmosphere, look no further. After stopping in one morning for breakfast with my in-laws, my family and I have been coming back to Mill Dam for years! Everything, yes EVERYTHING on their menu is great! The wings are hands down the best around - and we are fortunate to have many privately owned establishments in our area. The staff is attentive and you'll never wait long for anything. If you like live music, they have a covered (enclosed) outdoor area that is perfect to eat and enjoy a good band. Every time we go, we always have fun and can't wait to stop back. They also do takeout orders! Whether you live locally, are planning a family trip to Buckeye Lake, or just passing through, 100% plan to stop here!

I have always wanted to try this place because it is always crowded. We went on a Friday afternoon. The service was quick. The waitress was by herself and she was rocking it! She was covering the inside and the outside. The food was typical bar food. I had the Friday fish and chips special. My husband had the meatball sub. Everything was hot and tasty. I loved the apparel that they were selling.

My partner and I hadn't been together too long before he recommended this place. I might have to re-review again after a 2nd visit because, to be fair, this is only based on a restaurant expertise and not the bar aspect. First off, the service definitely had that Cheers vibe to it. Everyone definitely seemed (or at least extremely well acted) like they knew everyone! It had that warm "I've been here before" relaxing feel to it. I thoroughly enjoyed conversing and laughing with the staff of the establishment. We ordered wings and fries. I had ordered one alcoholic drink, but tbh I can't remember what it was, BUT I do remember that they had hooked it up on the alcohol! The wings weren't anything to call home about, but they were still good. The sauce for the garlic parmasen was extremely flavorful but a little too thin for my preference. The Asian chili sauce was identical to the Franks sweet chili sauce you buy at the grocery store in case you've ever had it before. The wings were pretty fair on the size, too. The highlight and most underrated item, however, were THOSE FRIES! The service and those fries! That's why they're getting 4 stars outta me alone. I spent the next week trying to recreate those fries to figure out why they were so yummy, super crispy on the outside and fluffy in the inside. I had to soak freshly sliced potatoes in salt water for a day (changed water out 2x) to get the starch out to get the fluffy inside and to get the crisp factor I had to lightly batter them in flour. What I ultimately learned is that, they put a lot of work and love into those freaking fries! I want to come back to give this place another try because we hadn't ordered a lot and it appeared there were some fun games towards the back that I didn't get a chance to try out.

It was our lucky day this 1 st day of August. Weather was nice and Emma served us our drinks from the patio bar area and we were entertained by a very good guitar player. Thank you Emma it was nice meeting you today.

Could literally see her standing behind the bar talking to who turned out to be the "bar manager" a joke if you want to call her that. I walked up to the bar and asked if we could speak to a manger and "logan" informed us she was infact the manager. She was very snappy from the jump. She then pretty much told me and I quote "if you don't like it you can always leave." In reference to me complaining about bad service, and undercooked meat... a few days later I was with some buddy's and informed them.. just for me to be told by them they SPECIFICALLY avoid the bar when logan's behind it! guess I missed the memo! Went there for fun and for pool and overall just a terrible experience when I was hoping for more. Even the beer sucked as the glasses weren't chilled. worst sports bar ever.

SOME OF THE BEST FOOD & DRINKS ON BUCKEYE LAKE...!!!…read more As we walked in on a Friday night, we saw a chalkboard outside that read "Steak Night! Filet Mignon or Ribeye with salad and 2 sides for $16.99! Add a crab cake for $3 more!" Guess what? It was good. REALLY GOOD. The Beach House Pub is in the former Beachcomber in Fairfield Beach, on the south side of the lake. But it's new ownership, a new menu, and they've brought new life into this place. There were 5 of us. We had pizza, wings, 2 steak dinners, a burger, drinks, etc. Everything was really good. The steaks were an absolute bargain. The ribeye was delicious. The filet was delicious. The $3 crab cake was really good. Drinks were strong and very well executed. Sarah, the new owner, was a manager at the Copper Penny for many years. She has absolutely, positively "upped her game" here - the Beach House is really good. REALLY good... We're thrilled, because we have a house nearby. Service was great. The live band was good. We got seated right away, and served right away. And it wasn't a madhouse, like some of the other places on the lake can be on a weekend during boating season. I'm sure it will get busier as people realize what a gem this has become. If you find yourself on the south side of Buckeye Lake any time soon, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND the Beach House Pub.

We were seated behind a barrier, and after dropping off our entrees, our server disappeared. My husband realized that he hadn't been served any condiments with his fish & chips -- no tartar sauce, lemon, vinegar or ketchup, nor slaw. He waited a few minutes to dig in, figuring someone would pop around the corner and we'd catch their eye, or our own server would return to check on us. Nope. Meanwhile, hubby had tasted a few fries, which were barely warm and a bit flabby. He started to eat his fish, sans tartar, and said it was ok, but not super hot. Fish and chips out to come out of the fryer so fresh and hot that you need to wait a few minutes to eat it so you don't burn your mouth -- but not here. This food had been sitting around a while. A few other servers had checked on tables nearish to ours, but didn't give us so much as a glance, and didn't hear our loud "Excuse me!"s. We weren't thrilled at the prospect of having to get up and go to the bar or hostess station to get help. But because both our meals had become unenjoyable thanks to waiting over ten minutes for someone to happen by, I decided I'd go seek assistance. But just then, our server happened by. We flagged her down and asked for all the things that were missing. She glanced at my husband's still pretty full plate and her eyes popped a bit, clearly realizing that the sitch was not pleasing to us. She brought the missing condiments, but damage done at that point. It had been a little exhausting waiting around and keeping our eyes peeled for a passing server. The restaurant should make it more of a point to send servers through that lower seating area on the regular. It was a pretty mediocre dinner.

Based on several other reviews, I was a bit worried at first about what was to be expected with speed and quality of service. Our server, a young lady, was excellent, and helpful with making our choices. Her manager or chef seemed like a man possessed running around the floor to assist his staff at the time and did stop by once to check in with us. As far as menu changes or decor from a recent refresh, I have no basis of comparison so couldn't care less about that. We were starving so we opted for recommendations from our server spanning all over the menu. We had everything from cheese curds and bang bang shrimp to the Reuben and patty melt, to a filet mignon with loaded baked potato as a side. In retrospect, kicking ourselves now since nobody in our party got any seafood outside of the shrimp appetizer. Doubtful we will be back east of Columbus for a while so I have no idea when we'd realistically get to try the Salmon BLT or seafood pasta. Unfortunately nobody snagged photos of the food since we were famished and it wasn't a priority. I don't eat sweets, but was told the Key Lime Pie and Banana Fosters were well worth saving room for. If you're like me, I'd opt for the OG Dockside Old Fashioned instead.
