cozy place in cannon falls to gather with some friends and chat and have a cocktail. The male bartender did an amazing job following my very specific instructions on how to make our drinks. He is mainly the reason this place got four stars and not three! We got more service from him than our female waitress as he stopped by the table a few times and followed up with us ladies to make sure all was good and make us more drinks. The food was just okay--I got Fettuccini Alfredo and it was bland----I would not order that again--I will probably just stick to a basic chicken sandwich or something most places have. The inside has a nice exposed brick wall and plenty of smaller tables. It is not overly loud so you can actually have decent conversation here.

This is a cozy little place that you can grab a beer or glass of wine and some grub. We had a whiskey burger and a french dip. Both of them were good. The service is friendly and attentive. It is a cute little place with a nice decor and and they have a spacious patio to enjoy in the good weather months. If you are outdoorsy or had too much to drink, there is the nearby Cannon River Trail that you can stroll on for miles if you wish. I like the small town of cannon falls, they have good pizza, wineries and outdoorsy things to do. Cute town, check it out! Maybe I will see you there.

Deja Vu My wife has been trying to get me to stop here for the last year or so. Today I relented. As we walked up to the place I was a bit taken aback. "Wait, I've eaten here before!". Several years ago on a convoluted B&B tour of southern Minnesota. Mill Street is located in downtown Canon Falls, across the street from the winery. They serve a nice selection of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. They also have a couple of craft beers on tap. Surly Furious for me today. I got the Whiskey Burger and my wife got the Blue Cheese Burger. Both had great flavor. This is one of the few whiskey sauces I have really liked. That burger was good, really good. Service was great. The people here are upbeat and proud of what they produce. Thats 5 stars in my book.

The best Friday Night Fish Fry I've been able to find since moving to Minnesota. Definitely recommend the Cod.

The Captain Jack burger was one of the greatest burgers I've ever had (yes, I have a list). Don't skip.

Not as good as it used to be. Not as clean, employees are not as fun or welcoming, and food isn't as good. Hoping it will bounce back.

Typical bar food things to select from. The interior was clean and comfortable. The food was decent and portions were large. My only complaint is that the grill is an open concept in the bar area so you see everything being prepared. I was shocked to see the grill cook handle all the food items with bare hands. Then he would take a seat at the bar only to get up and cook more food without washing his hands. Rather disgusting in my book thus the 3 rating.

They were out rather fast and were your basic packaged curds. I would certainly go with the chicken wings next time. On person in our party of 6 ordered them as a main course and they were very good. Crispy batter and juicy chicken. I elected to try the Patty melt because it promoted a HUGE patty. Well my HUGE is much different than this one! The patty melt had good taste but I would certainly go with a different selection next time. The texas toast was toasted perfectly but it was just small. The tots were good but I wouldn't pay the upcharge next time. The FF are much better. My wife had Chicken bacon/ranch sandwich. She said it was moist with a crispy batter. She was very happy with the quantity and quality of the meal. Other in our party had the Eye opener (breakfast) burger with FF and like I said the FF are the right choice. Burger was good. Other meal order was boneless wings. they were also a good choice. Overall an OK place to eat. Certainly better than the McD down the street.

The Burger Monarchy: A Paradox of Plenty in Miesville In the…read morequiet, pastoral stretches outside Eagan, there exists a roadside institution that defies the modern trend of curated minimalism. King's Place in Miesville is a relic of a different era, a burger joint that functions less like a restaurant and more like a high-volume assembly line of Americana. The menu is not merely large; it is an overwhelming, multi-page manifesto of beef. With roughly 80 to 100 variations on the burger--many named in tribute to the local Miesville Mudhens baseball team--the experience begins with a bout of genuine decision paralysis. For the average diner, the sheer volume of choices feels like a dare. It is a place where you can find almost any topping imaginable, which makes the absence of a simple fried mushroom all the more jarring. It is the one note the kitchen fails to hit in an otherwise exhaustive symphony. When the food does arrive, the logistics are the primary entertainment. The floor staff at King's Place perform a nightly feat of athletic grace, weaving through the crowded, character-filled dining room while balancing five or more burger trays at a time. It is a spectacle of efficiency that puts the sterile, automated nature of modern chains to shame. However, one must navigate the side dishes with a discerning eye. While the temptation to "upgrade" is always present, the seasoned waffle fries are an investment that yields little return; they are best skipped in favor of the standard fare. The real value here lies in the core product and the refreshing lack of pretension. Despite the fame and the daunting menu, the pricing remains stubbornly reasonable, a rare feat for an establishment that has transitioned from a local secret to a regional landmark. "Life is too short to miss out on the beautiful things like a double cheeseburger." -- Channing Tatum For those seeking the predictable polish of a franchise, King's Place will be a confusing sensory overload. But for the traveler who values soul, speed, and a price point that respects the wallet, this is a kingdom worth visiting--just don't expect to find a fried mushroom on your plate. Tried the cheese curds and fried pickles for appetizers- came with delicious homemade ranch for dipping. Got the Rundown and Queen burger with waffle fries and tots to try the different options. I loved the Rundown burger - so refreshing for a summer burger. The tots came with cheese dip - yum! Saw another person order a Bloody Mary and had to give that a whirl. They home make the mix and make them spicy or not to order. The place is broken up into different rooms which made for a more intimate atmosphere while also being able to serve a lot of folks.
