Much of the time I don't even provide that -- I just tell them the mood I'm looking for and that I trust their judgement. And it's always a stunning bouquet, each one always unique in its own way. Have been going here for years as the concept is dreamy and had many wonderful experiences -- except when it mattered the most. My now husband and I would walk up piedmont after work for date night and get a surprise bouquet based off of colors or a focal flower. We would always tell the sweet Latin woman, "something with sunset colors" or "surprise us" and had never been let down. With that being said, I reached out confidently to Barbara the owner to create my bridal bouquet. When she asked what I was looking for I explained that I had never been disappointed with any bouquets they made me, and I was seeking sunset hues of ranunculus and snapdragons as my single bud vases had these colors. Confident in their capabilities, as I had never been surprised by them in a disappointing way, I sent my fiancé to pick up the bouquet and a boutonnière for my mom. When he got there, Barbara told him I never ordered a boutonnière -- I reiterated to him that I absolutely did and she scoffed at him and was frustrated with the "last minute request" -- this should've been the first red flag. Anyways, my husband walks through the door as I'm getting ready for our Night Before dinner after spending ALL day processing flowers for our ceremony & reception, and he walks in with a handful of flowers that looked as though they were picked from a backyard. I frantically called the flower stand and it happened to be 5 mins before closing (this is key) and begged for them to just make me a regular bouquet and inquired why i was charged $120 for a "bridal bouquet" yet the $70-90 bouquets i get have much pricier flowers and look better. I understand wiring flowers requires labor, as I had spent all day doing so, but I've gotten peonies and lavish flowers for less and in a much prettier presentation -- I digress. Anywho, I explained I'd pick it up, but they close at 6, and the Spanish lady explained, "sale is final" despite me saying I'd eat the cost I simply wanted another bouquet -- she hung up on me at 5:59 and did not answer the phone when I called back at 6. I then called Barbara the owner and explained the situation and that I wanted a regular bouquet like I get biweekly and not the bridal bouquet, but I'd pay for both. She then inquired to me, "well what are you going to do with the one I made you" and I said, again, that I'd pay for it and I just wanted a new bouquet to which she replied, "god! Bring it back tomorrow" -- mind you tomorrow was the day of my wedding. While the flowers may be nice for a biweekly bouquet, the customer service and lack of professionalism was truly appalling, and not what I'd expect especially as a repeat customer. I am devastated writing this review because of the quality I've received on a walk in basis, but I absolutely would NOT hire them for wedding events or be spending my money here anymore. No more $90 biweekly bouquets, Mother's Day bouquets standing in line, or any business. Very rude, condescending and unprofessional. No apology, no explanation, no flexibility whatsoever. Came here with some friends. Both ladies who were working here were so helpful. The lady in the dress with pockets helped us select individual stems and advised us on which would last an hour out of water. She was beautifully patient with us. There is a cute dog here who I suppose is also an employee. She'll indulge you by letting you give her one or two pets but because she's on the clock still, she ultimately has to get back to her job and do her main task: napping. read more

I'm so glad I took the time to stroll down the streets to discover Mille Fiori, even if my bf and I were walking in the rain. I was mesmerized by the display of colorful and blooming flowers. I really had to bring something small home. The florist running the stand was super sweet and knowledgeable. I asked her to put together a small arrangement that is dog-friendly and warm toned. She quickly put together a very pretty floral arrangement, and she educated us on the names of the flowers as she picked them out for us! My favorites in my bouquet are definitely the snapdragons! She was open to feedback if we didn't like something but fortunately for her we really liked what she picked out! To my suprised, the total amount for the vase ($5) and custom arrangement ($25), was well worth the money and very affordable for gorgeous flowers. I'm a fan of this shop. It's near the nail salon I frequent and nothing says self care like a pedi and a just because bouquet. I love how the little shop spills onto Piedmont Avenue. It has an old world-town square vibe. It really seems/feels like a pop up, but it's long established. Coming here is a very sensory experience. You can look, smell and touch all the flowers and greenery. My favorite part is watching the staff build arrangements. I particularly love the old surly man who I pick out one flower for, tell him how much I want to pay and then watch him create the most interesting and beautiful arrangements. I think we both warm each other's hearts when we smile in delight at the beautiful arrangement that he has made. I purposely went to Mille Fiori last week to pick up a nice bouquet for a friend being honored at a gathering. The woman who runs the business was less than friendly (almost rude) and not in the least bit interested in putting together a nice arrangement. I gave her my price point ($35), which she seemed perturbed about. I pointed out a few flowers that I liked to give her an idea about what color scheme I was thinking of. She pulled 4-5 stems, some of which were older and wilted. I asked her nicely if she could add some filler/greenery to the arrangement and was rudely told that filler costs money too. Stupidly, I paid for and left there with a sloppily wrapped, minuscule (4-5 stem) so-called arrangement with 1 stem of greenery. The arrangement was not even close to being presentable to the honoree nor even worth bringing it home to my house. I will definitely not be purchasing anything from this business in the future. read more

Beautiful flowers and a very nice variety to choose from. I've made a few sporadic purchases over the years and am far from a regular, but typically have good experiences here. That's what made today's experience a little bizarre. Stopped by on a whim to get two small bouquets for Easter. Noticed that the older woman working lets her large dog wander up and down the street without a leash, which is odd and isn't cool, but it's at least a friendly dog who just seems to want to mostly lay around. Walked up to the stand, quickly glanced to see if she had the flowers I wanted, and then stood a distance back to respect social distancing but said hello in her direction. No reply but it seemed more like she preferred to finish what she was doing before acknowledging me. Stood around awkwardly until she asked if I needed something and I requested two bouquets. The first was sunflowers. Super easy, no problem, and she suggested some baby's breath-like flowers to mix in, which I agreed to. For the second bouquet, I asked for a combo of yellow and white freesias; she asked if using half of her supply of each color and combining them would be enough and I said that was totally fine. I then noticed some different baby's breath-like flowers and asked her if she thought that might look nice mixed into the bouquet. Her attitude instantly changed and I really don't know why. She seemed seriously miffed that I asked for it and said reluctantly under her breath she could mix it in. She was the one who suggested the exact same thing for the previous bouquet so I have no idea what the issue was. A short while later, she holds up two bouquets of white and yellow freesias and asks me, "Which one do you want?" Frankly, I don't know why this simple question tripped me up, I guess I just got confused as to why she was holding two bouquets when I only asked for one, and thought she was asking which one of the two I wanted to add the baby's breath to. I asked if she was asking which to add the baby's breath to and she completely cut me off and got really irritated, rolled her eyes and shook her head, dropped her hands to her sides holding both bouquets and said, "YES, I'll add the other flowers, all I need to know is which one you want!" I almost told her "thanks but no thanks" for the flowers and left. Really bizarre, uncalled for reaction to a simple misunderstanding on my part and especially since I was nothing but polite in the few words we exchanged. Instead I chose the bouquet I wanted and said, "Sorry, I got confused and didn't understand what you were trying to ask me." I made sure to sound annoyed myself, and her attitude suddenly did a 180 from that point. When I paid and she handed me back my card and told me she'd disinfected it, she was nicer than at any other point in our interaction. I said thanks and wished her a happy Easter, but I'm not exactly looking to run back to this place if it comes with temper tantrums from the owner over the smallest brain fart by a customer. Plenty of other local florists to support. I'm not dropping this score to 3 because this was only bad experience among the perfectly normal ones I've had in the past, but it was off-putting enough to share. read more

Have gotten flowers from here few times. Although they do have a wide selection of flowers, the quality is not the greatest, the flowers do not keep well as they should. The flowers are pricey for the quality. Once they put together a sparse bouquet and gave a $60 or so bill. The flower buckets do not have prices displayed which makes it tricky to choose. There is a non-white lady there who is always smiling and helpful, and so is the pet dog. Writing this review for the older White lady who is very rude, she is unhappy to answer questions about flowers and is not excited to help the customers. Recently when we were there, I asked her to tell me the prices of certain flowers as I wanted to keep the price of the bouquet within a certain $$ range and this seemed to annoy her greatly. Or maybe she neither wants nor needs customers of color, it is hard to say what they are really judging you for. Cannot recommend. read more

I've given the description of 'purple and weird' and they created the perfect bouquet. It feels like you're in Europe in its aesthetic and placement.
