They took two types of x-rays, instead of one, when the insurance covers only one of those types of x-rays every 5 years. I ended up having to pay for their mistake. This was also my husband's first time there to get a tooth filled and a cap fitted. He said it was a great experience. Dr. Wright and all of his staff are so friendly and sweet and nice. When I scheduled my appointment, I specifically informed the office that I would need pediatric bite plates. I also reminded the hygienist when I arrived. Despite this, the hygienist told me they didn't have pediatric plates because they "don't see children," and said we would "work together to get the x-rays done." Unfortunately, this meant repeatedly trying to force the large adult bite plate into my mouth. I told her multiple times that it was painful, triggering my gag reflex, and that I simply could not tolerate it. Her response was, "We have to do this in order to take radiographs," without offering any alternative approach. I fully understand the importance of radiographs, but the way the situation was handled felt dismissive and unnecessarily abrasive. She did not attempt any other solutions, and her bedside manner left a lot to be desired. I had waited a long time for this appointment and arranged my entire day around it.
