I later called Tim Lally Chevrolet and found the exact same part for $558. Even though I purchased my own part and brought it to them, I still ended up being charged more than what Mandy originally quoted me if I had gone through Spitzer for the repair. Communication was also terrible throughout the process. I called to speak with Mandy and never received a callback that entire day. Instead, she sent me the quote the next morning (Tuesday, April 28 at 9:45 AM). When I asked if I could bring my own part, I didn't get a response until Friday, May 1 at 2:20 PM. This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had, especially from a dealership.

Came to Spitzer Northfield to inquire about the 2025 Power Wagon they have. Chris, the sales rep…read morewas amazing. Easy to talk to and was willing to answer or find answers to all our questions. Chris had made the statement to us that he hadnt been working with the company for long and had actually put in a lot of effort into picking the right place to work that valued their employees and customers... I think he picked the wrong place. The truck had several small issues but it also had 2 big safety recalls on it. We left the first day without purchasing the truck since we couldn't get the price down to a reasonable number but mainly because of the recalls. The recalls on the truck had to do with the defrost not working and the airbags not deploying and the pretensioner in the seatbelts not activating. Essentially the crash sensor is not working. We live in kentucky, were we are projected to get 11+ inches of snow in the next few days and the entire state had issued a state of emergency for the upcoming Winter Strom. We told them we would be heading back that night because of the upcoming weather. They called us before we could even leave the parking lot to tell us they could get to the price down to where we wanted and would get the recalls fixed before we left with the truck. Because of this, we got a hotel down the street and came back the next morning. The next morning, Steve -the sales manager thay we had the unpleasant experience of working with- sat down at the table with a piece of paper that had the price on it and said here's the price we agreed on with a range of monthly payments since we dont know your credit... are you ready to sign? We again brought up the safety recalls that had to be fixed before diving the truck 5 hours back home in a snow storm. His response to us was that we can sign for the truck today but he would not be fixing the safety recalls and that we could get them fixed ourselves. He said "its Saturday and our dodge dealership isn't going to just get you in to fix the recalls. We're a customer like everyone else." We packed our things and left. This dealership very clearly does not care about their customers time or safety. They have had this truck since November and the recalls were issued in early December. Its now the end of January. They have been letting their customers test drive a truck with a safety issue that could be life threatening and was even more okay in selling it. I would be very careful when dealing with this dealership. No wonder they're not accredited with the BBB!

Serena was so kind, but expertly informed about each and every car- their specs, details, etc! Superior product knowledge and exceptional customer experience. I told her upfront I was extremely picky and she delivered 100% beautiful choices and offered flexibility by researching nationwide on a car I had lost in a (rather devastating) accident. It's not a situation anyone would like to be in, but the good news is I'm still here- but my car is not. I did not purchase today from her- and it had absolutely nothing to do with her customer care. She's top tier and deserves a big raise, just for how well she knows these cars. Specs, stats, features... this lil gal can walk that talk. If you're a picky person- you've got my highest recommendation to make an appointment here and see one of these beautiful, fairly priced cars. Highest marks for a top notch experience. The reason I did not buy is (other than picky) I'm mourning a loss of a car I deeply loved. I need more time to hunt. But you all need to see these spectacular vehicles- and please purchase from her- she's amazing. There was some beautiful vehicles on this lot.

A few weeks into my brand new purchase, I noticed some strange noises, I immediately called my sales person (Mike) to let him know that it sounded as if my brakes were bad. They gave me the run around. Oh Mike isn't here today, call tomorrow blah blah blah. When I finally decided to just visit them, Mike test drove my car and confirmed what I heard. He goes back and lets his supervisors know what he witnessed... The supervisor gave him (Mike) a paper stating that my brakes or atleast 1 was replaced brand new. He states "Oh sometimes these brand new parts can sound like that because they're trying to adjust"... I've never heard of that! Fast forward, here I am 2 months into my purchase and I'm getting my transmission looked at and serviced and, get this, the brakes as well... who knew please be cautious, those places like north coast and or buy here pay here company's aren't the only ones distributing lemons. These lemons just happen to look good.

The manager of this dealership knows his stuff, very courteous and willing to do anything to make clients happy with their purchase. For him alone, I would recommend getting your car from here. However, an incident with getting my second Honda is the reason why this dealership will not get five stars. It starts off with the salesman, Rick the Dick, who sold us the car, not at the value but at $2500 cheaper since they failed to price the car already. So far, so good. But Rick was a complete ass since we told him to have the car cleaned out and everything checked before driving it out. There was old Halloween candy scattered all over the trunk, the spare key was missing and the radio did not work. Since the salesman gave us an attitude and the financial officer was also a lying prick, we promptly placed a stopped payment onto the check. When they found out they were not getting paid until everything was checked, they decided to play ball then. But even with Rick the Prick's "apology", I would still steer away from this man. He is dishonest and only cares about the sale rather than the customer. Overall, stand your ground when dealing with salesman, accept no tomfoolery from the financial officer, try to find the manager and always place a stopped payment on the check and refuse to pay until everything is on the up and up.

They finally got me the info videos of the underside of the car which I feel for the vintage of the car (a 2006 Honda odyssey ex) was warranted before traveling 5 hours to see it in person. after it had been listed for 2 months with no pics and or price I got the videos and price so decided to see it in person. I did also ask multiple questions about condition I asked about oil leaks ,air conditioner , many points of the car that where in my mind skimmed over that should have been disclosed in the manner of courtesy to me with them knowing I was traveling 5 hours to see the Van. One very obvious thing was the fact that the windshield was damaged and the damage was in the line of vision which made it a necessity to replace it to pass inspection. When I took the vehicle for a pre purchase inspection the mechanic found a large oil leak in the engine the 2 front struts where leaking as well as one rear shock. the bottom bracket on one of the struts was bent from bottoming out and would need to be replaced there was evidence of the mud skirts in the front having scraped so I specifically asked to have the dealership look for any metal damage under the skirt before coming to see it and they saw none , rear tail light was damaged an would not pass inspection, no mention of this to me . The air conditioner compressor was leaking and would need replacing. I was also promised that I would get in writing a guarantee that the timing belt water pump and tensioner which they said they replaced would get me to my mechanic back home 5hours away to verify the job.when I asked about this before I test drove it . the person that I was given the guarantee by gave me an attitude such that I was being ridiculous about it .Lots of other issues with this dealer ship.! I passed on the vehicle .I would avoid them and look elsewhere. I know they will come back on this review with some smart excuses and blame me . But do you trust a dealership that would send you out on a test ride for a pre purchase and they did not know if the spare tire was good on the car. Until I asked !!!

Carena Motors sold me a structurally unsafe vehicle with failing brakes!…read more We purchased a used Toyota 4Runner from Carena Motors through Cars.com and had it shipped to our home in Tennessee. It was supposed to be a safe first car for our teen. When it arrived, we noticed damage to the hood and clear signs of corrosion that had been patched over on the lower panels. In the online photos, this looked like showroom reflections. We assumed we had missed it and didn't pursue it further. Sadder but wiser. At least it was safe, right? A few months later, the brakes failed without warning! We had to use the emergency brake to stop the vehicle. Thankfully, this happened in a quiet neighborhood and not on the highway or in the mountains, where we had been just days before. We had the car towed to a trusted repair shop. The mechanic explained that the left rear brake failed due to rust corrosion and the right side was about to do the same. While the car was on the lift, the mechanic also found something worse... A structural support beam on the passenger side had been recently welded over! This was not a repair that restored safety. It was a weld that fully covered the original metal underneath and prevented anyone from seeing the frame's true condition. It was so bad the mechanic asked if the vehicle had a salvage title. He said plainly that the vehicle was not safe and explained that the beam could "accordion" in a crash because of the concealed damage. We contacted Tony Carena directly. We sent photos, video, and documentation from the repair shop. After some back and forth, the only suggestion we were given was to sell the car to someone else. After that, all communication stopped. We now own a car we cannot safely drive and cannot ethically sell. The dealership has refused to take responsibility. If you are not a mechanic or are buying from out of state, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. We trusted Carena Motors and ended up with a dangerous vehicle that never should have been sold in this condition.
