My wife and I have always enjoyed Miller's Ale House so we decided to try the one in Palmetto Bay. We started with Boom Boom Shrimp for the app and they are honestly the best shrimp we've ever had from all of the Ale House that we have been to. Miller Ale House Shrimp has always been the go to app for us so it's not surprising that it's great here too. My wife had the baby back ribs special and she loved them. They were fall off the bone delicious and tender. The bbq sauce was amazing. However, the broccoli was tasteless and my wife put salt on it to add some flavor. I had the Atlantic Salmon which is one of the best salmon I've had at a sit down chain restaurant. I had my salmon blackened with sides of rice and a loaded baked potato. The salmon was very tasty and did not have that overwhelming fishy taste that a lot of fish dishes have. The rice was ok. The loaded potato was great. I have no complaints on my order I ate everything. The service was mediocre. Our waitress was nice but not attentive. She took over 20 minutes to give me my first refill. And at one point we had 2 empty cups, the menus that we no longer needed and two dirty plates that we used for the appetizer at the end of our table and we still had wait 15 minutes to have it cleared from the table. Our waitress just seemed preoccupied with other things during our service. The atmosphere was cool. It wasn't loud as compared to other Miller Ale House. The room temperature was good it seemed around 72 degrees which is the temperature I use at my house. It wasn't crowded on this day and the TVs showed a variety of channels so no complaints. We got some mozzarella sticks to start, and they got devoured right away. I ordered Mimi's fiesta chicken & shrimp salad. For appetizers with had mozzarella sticks & 12pc garlic chicken wings (they weren't crispy at all but they were good, also I forgot to take pictures of these). My dad had pork with rice & mashed potatoes, Diet Pepsi & a sangria. My mom had salmon with rice & vegetables & a lemonade. Where to even start. We went looking for a place to watch the NFL draft and thought we'd drive out of our way to Miller's Ale house. They had a DJ on the patio but inside they were showing the draft and playing the sound from the TVs as well. Service was a little slow but amiable. We ordered the house margarita, a draft beer and the giant pretzel. There were no napkins nor utensils. The pretzel was delicious but the beer had about 1.5 inches of foam. We had to flag down the server to get napkins. Then our food came out- steak n shrimp and Mimi's chicken and shrimp. The presentation of the steak was so bad we had to call the manager over to show him. It looked like it was literally thrown on the plate and someone very angry smashed that baked potato. It tasted better than it looked. But if you eat with your eyes first you'll need to close them when they serve your food. The Mimi's chicken n shrimp was good and spicy. Then after we left and looked at the picture realized they never put the shrimp on the plate. After the 9th pick in the first round they switched off the tv sound and blasted the DJ music instead. I really wanted to hear the draft and the music would not have been so bad if the DJ was any good. It was supposedly latin night but the Bad Bunny mix was so bad I almost didn't recognize it. On top the music was so loud you couldn't hear each-other without yelling. The songs were also definitely not the clean version and there were families there. The outdoor patio allows smoking, and most people were smoking cigars, which may or may not be an issue you want to know about it. It's a huge restaurant with lots on the menu to try.
