So came here for spring training and I found Mill on google. Loved the layout. Beer cold. Tried the pretzel with cheese and jalapeño dipping sauce. Sorry not enough pretzel the dipping sauce was good enough on its own. It was fantastic. Great place. It would definitely be a hangout spot for poo, darts and other games. read more

This place just opened up around the corner from my roommates & I so we decided to check it out. Its newly renovated & very clean! The inside seating is very nice as well as the outdoor seating. We went during their happy hour (which is a pretty good deal) & I had a few cocktails and their pretzel & shared some of my roommates fries. Overall the drinks & food were great! My first time here. I LOVE the ambience. The place is decked out like it belongs in Gilbert or Scottsdale. There is definitely no shortage of a good seat when you wanna watch a game or a fight. From the arcade area, to the shuffle board, to the darts and pool tables (and many more games), this place has it all! I had an awesome lunch. The burger and fries were cooked to perfection. My husband and I just recently found out about this place. We've driven by several times, but figured with the new football season we'd check it out. First off, walking in, wow it's HUGE and also very modern (as in the name). There's the long main bar with several chairs, many tables along side, and also very long tables for very large parties/groups. Several seating areas with couches and personal TVs and also two private cabanas style seating with plush chairs, TVs for a more relaxed private seating. Actually there's TVs everywhere, hence why it was perfect for football. The outskirts were a pool hall, and also some video games and an extended room that's perfect for a hosting group events. I was pretty impressed with the place. Now onto the food, I HIGHLY recommend the Cuban sandwich w/ fries, hands down AMAZING!! We're coming back to get that again! They have an all day Sunday happy hour that's a menu of $3, $6 and $9 specials, my hubby loved the great deal on the beers. The service was top-notch attentive, as the manager that was there seemed to be training a new waitress (who did a great job by the way), and both were very attentive our entire stay and quick to refill us when needed. We went on a Saturday night and rented a pool table for a few hours. Apparently they have a mandatory tip on Saturday nights that includes tipping on table time. When we asked the waitress she said that's how it is and walked away. I am a more than generous tipper on drinks and service... but table time??? The drinks are not too pricey and the food is amazing but a little more expensive than I'd like to pay. But you get what you pay for and it's definitely quality. First time at Mill's Modern . I just bought a new STEALTH CUE and had to try it out! As soon as I walked in, I was in love with the place. The openness and beautiful seething all just made you feel at home. There are billiard tables galore as well as ping pong , and a few other games to be played. But my absolute favorite thing about this place is the food! It was all so very good and plentiful. I would also like to shout out to the Manager Cody and his crew for the wonderful service they extended. We will absolutely be back again. read more

The menu is overpriced and the bartenders are slow as hell. First red flag, the Chips & Salsa are $11 and the side of Fries are $9. On a Saturday night, the bartenders don't make conversation, or keep eye contact with the patrons sitting at the bar; making it uncomfortable for a place called "Mill's Modern Social". They take a card to put on tab at the jump. Which I can understand being in a college town. What they don't explain is the 20% gratuity is auto added on the bill. Regardless if it was earned of not. Seems like management needs to get a handle on training of service. Which also brings me to the fact that two men, of which I assume either own or manage the place because they keep walking past our table to monkey with the electrical panel. Not once did they throw a smile or hello considering we were patrons in their establishment. Overall the vibe needs improvement. Hopefully they figure it out quick. Great seating, openness, volume for games. Staff is slow and majority seem like they are learning on the fly. Understaffed perhaps? There will be an automatic 20% added on to your bill if you spend over $100 or in a party of 6 or more. This was explained to us from a manager and is displayed at the check-in station. We had a tab under $100 and less than 4 people and still got hit with a 20% charge (twice this has happened). If you split checks they will still charge you. Bartender shorted us proper change after paying cash for two beers. Waitress (Cloe C on receipt) said $8 per person (exact words, nothing more). Surprised at the bill. Turns out it's $8 per person PER HOUR. Very different and near legal definition of false advertising. Feel like there's poor training and/or managerial oversight. Won't come here again. First time I gave them my card before they closed us out I told them my friend was going to pay we gave them his card and they ended up charging his card and mine for same amount. Our first time here - great beer selection, we started with the wings. They were big in comparison to a lot of the places you can order wings around here.
