On a trip back to my hometown, our first stop had to be Milos! I failed at photos but talk about wonderful service and hot yummy food! We had a few mishaps with the order, but we were so happy to finally be eating our beloved most missed fast food since moving to Florida, we didn't say a word... and we didn't have to!! I'm so sad that my latest meal at this Milo's location was not good at all and I probably won't revisit. Recently, the Milo's famous fries have been subpar but I overlooked that to still eat there because of their hamburgers and unique Milo's sauce. The fries are not crispy and flavorful with the paprika/salt seasoning anymore. I understand that maybe they cut back on the seasonings because people don't want the saltiness, but who would want uncooked, limp fries, which is what my fries are like at three different locations. The only Milo's that have what I remember of the old Milo's is the one on Valleydale road. On my recent visit, even the burger was no longer good. It looked like it was hastily slapped together (messy). The only good thing about this visit was the very friendly (maybe a little too friendly for my comfort) customer service at the drive through window. Twice we have taken a group of people from out of town, and the service could not be better. We mostly go to the Pelham store, and the general manager is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. This is really just a visit through the drive through to get my fix...yes...Sweet Tea. Staff taking the order was friendly and quick to take my order. At the window they didn't keep me waiting and took money/made change and got me on my way. I've eaten here a few times. Always to go. I know they have had several bad reviews, but I haven't personally had a bad experience yet. That being said, they don't do anything out of the ordinary and the food isn't bad. This is another one of those that is kind of easy to review based on similar fast food joints and other Milo's. Comparing them to other Milo's they definitely aren't the best. We keep trying to give this Milos chances to improve but I think today was the last time we eat here the customer service was very friendly through the drive-through but the hamburgers and cheeseburgers basically had very little Milos sauce, onions and pickles. We came in after a funeral with about 10 people. Larry, the new general manager, took our order and answered all of our questions with patience and enthusiasm! He gave us a few fries to try with the Milo's sauce that we were unsure about, being from out of town. He delivered our food with a few staff members and checked on us multiple times in the dining room throughout our meal, even brining us a large uniced tea so that we didn't have to get up for refills. The food was fantastic and came out faster than any of us expected with such a large order. Larry made a hard day for us end on such a light note. I stopped by this Milo's location for lunch today. I discovered the interior of this location has been totally renovated. The counters and self-service areas have been updated with shiny, stainless steel finish. Two big improvements that I really like are the self-service sweet tea and the milo sauces. Unlimited refills of the famous tea and the crushed ice machine are now at my mercy. And, I no longer have to ask for two extra sauces. It always seemed like they were rationing that stuff. I am unsure if other locations are getting the same facelift, but I like the updated look. read more

This is the best fast food hamburger you can get! They put a fabulous sauce on it and the buns are toasted. The fries are like steak fries, thick and crinkly, with a wonderful (not to salty) sprinkle of herbs on them. Stopped here today to grab lunch. Inside was closed because of Covid restrictions and I understand that. However, we couldn't get through the drive through because we had a refrigerator standing up in the back of our truck. I knocked on the door to ask if i could make a to-go order. An employee behind the counter saw me and told the manager i was there. Without even turning around, she swatted me away and kept on working. It will be a long time before i eat here again. First of all Milos is ridiculously overpriced and I paid for a lot of tenders and some fried and had to pay for ALL of the dipping sauces. Ordinarily I don't goes to Milo's, but Ive heard from a friend about a Conecuh wrap, that I was told I just had to try. So, today I is the day. Why not let's give it a try. I stop by this location on my way to work. The drive thru is empty as is the dining area around 730. Uh oh. I order the wrap. Roughly $4.00. The female taking my order was polite. I paid her and was asked to pull forward despite me being the lone customer at this time. Must've had to be on the ready. I wait 5 mins or less and a guy comes out and gives me the wrap. I drive on to work, they still likely don't have a second customer yet today. I arrive. I unpack my work bag and then tear into the breakfast wrap. It appears larger than most fast food breakfast wraps! In general fast food breakfast wraps are quite small. This one is a palm sized 2 inch diameter. It's a little bigger than a Redd's frozen variety breakfast burrito. The interior has egg cheese and Conecuh. The egg is watery, like they're from frozen egg shavings vs fresh cracked. There is a thick slab of cheddar in there and some quarter to half inch pieces of under cooked Conecuh. Several pieces were noticeably pink and were subsequently thrown away. I like Conecuh on the grill but will settle for a pan in a pinch, but you absolutely must brown it or at least cook it through. It's been a good run, but now my former friend of 15-20 yrs is now dead to me for recommending this wrap to me. It is disappointing. Maybe he tried it thought it was terrible and wanted me to go down on flames too and just lied about it being good. Either way he can't be trusted. His taste buds are broken and his decision making has been compromised. Milo's should stick to ridiculously sweet tea that requires chewing and gross burgers in their sticky sweet gravy concoction. Lots of people like those things. This wrap in the manner in which was served could make someone sick. read more

I used to come here a lot and refused to come back due to bad service. Pick some girls up from camp and they all agreed to come here....of all places! Well, I'm glad they did! Milo's has been a staple in Alabama for decades. There's multiple locations throughout the state. I highly recommend a trip if you've never eaten here before. I've had people tell me that a Milo's Hamburger puts In-N-Out Burger to shame. The original Milo's sauce is a must. They have "sauce bar" with a variety of other sauces you can try as well. This particular Milos messed up my order, I called to let them know they offered to fix it or replace my order which they did. But the problem is my second order was worse than the first order. I order a three-piece combo and a four piece combo my chicken breading was falling off the chicken like it was soaking in grease. I have never had a problem out of my chicken finger combo besides until I went to this location.
