    The Big Nash-ty - ok

Our time here started off really well but didn't end so great. We were some of the only people at the restaurant for an early Saturday night dinner. There are younger wait staff, who were awkwardly endearing. There were some inconsistencies with what beer was on the shelf and on the menu, but that's not a big deal. It took a very long time for our food to come out. And unfortunately, when we needed to order an alternative meal for my daughter, it took a crazy amount of time for that dish to come out. Eventually, our waiter and (I believe) the manager came to apologize - something about having only one fryer - but I wish they had offered something while we waited or had come over earlier. The restaurant was still only three tables full, so I really don't understand the delay and lack of attention. The sandwiches we ordered were too heavy on the bread and just kind of average in terms of taste. I really liked the fried cauliflower, and my daughter liked her grilled cheese. Definitely a cute place, but I don't plan to rush back.

Cozy neighborhood brunch / breakfast place. Casual dining and a fan of the chef. Buttermilk battered chicken recipe and dish leaves you wanting more. Every bite offers moist warm and freshness. If you are a fan of batter - order these! The pancakes are crepe like and tasty, served with a organic or locally sourced jam. The Shakshuka was fresh, cherry tomatoes, nicely cooked eggs, and the sauce was topped with a pesto. Ashamed to say.. it was all gone! The Philly cheesesteak is a prime cut of beef, and the caramelizadme onions are folded into the cheese creating a layer of sweetness over the tasty roll which makes the sandwich a must for my next trip. It's a small gathering place, and come prepared for the cool weather, the smell of wood burning and warmth to accompany wonderfully plated dishes. Service from the chef was above and beyond, the wait staff are learning to master their skills!

The family and I stopped by here for lunch. We were in the area visiting the children's museum near Rye Playland. After searching for a place, this one looked promising and the reviews made the decision easy. When we pulled up, we parked in their lot and noticed that they had outdoor seating, a couple of picnic tables alongside their building. The weather wasn't the greatest so we decided to dine in. The staff was very attentive. They were all young, very pleasant and genuinely cares that we had a good experience. After we sat, a few more tables came in and we could see that the young man that was acting as server was getting a little overwhelmed so we just remained patient and tried to not add to his burden. The food was good. We really enjoyed it. The portion sizes were a bit small but we were satisfied with our meals. Hubby and I shared our sandos. I had the classic burger with bacon and he had the Philly phromage le steak (hehe). Mini me got a hotdog with really good chips on the side. I also tried their leek and potato soup which tasted wonderful but was not as creamy and thick as I would have liked. I would definitely come back if in the area. The service was good but I could see it get out of hand on a busy day.

Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich (huge) - comes with great fries too and get extra aioli

JUST DAMN GOOD! Recommend by a friend and did not disappoint.Took an old deli and made it into an awesome bistro with amazing food. Let's go down the Five Star points... Food - amazing craftsmanship and flavor. So on point! Had the hot chicken sandwich ( big enough for 2) great spice and is the only Nashville hot chicken sandwich ( Big Nash-Ty) I found in the area. Ask for spicy and it's HUGE and so damn juicy/tasty. Perfect with a Red Stripe. Everything looked Soo good.... Rye needed this! Breakfast - came back for the Egg Breakfast Sandwich - UNREAL - one of the BEST breakfast sandwiches I have ever eaten - AMAZING with the hash browns in it. Service - super friendly- attentive- great with walking you across the menu and suggestions. Drinks - strong selection in the case and fridge!! Full liquor too! Ambiance - its small but good. Bring the fam or friends or rent it out for a party. It works. Parking - yes - super big lot Swag - it's got swagger and good bones - great vibe Menu - so many hidden jems - the steak sandwich looked like a killer but it's going to be hard to decide with this menu - the chef knows his stuff and it shows ( and smells amazing) ToGo/Cater - saw a lot of good go out the door- seems like the fam or office hook up winner. ***** 5 BIG STARS! Well done!

Amazing food, amazing service, great beers and owned by a Phan. What more could you ask for! Came for brunch but will be back next time I'm in town to see what other offerings they have!

We went heavy on appetizers; shishito peppers (not for the faint of heart), Pastrami egg rolls (everyone's fave), Crispy artichokes and Hummus (awesome pita! Mom's favorite). The Shrimp & Lobster Mac and cheese was a standout. Loved by all. Chicken Shawarma was fine. Pot of Mussels was very good (not the "moules" you'd find in Brussels, but they stand on their own merits.) Lovely evening.

Ordered: Crispy artichokes ($15)- these were fried and tasty with a creamy yogurt sauce. Nothing crazy or exotic flavor wise, but enjoyable. Polenta bites ($12)- I really enjoyed these! They were a little salty, a little smoky (bacon) and a little sweet (honey). I will say that I strongly recommend Village Social either update their menu or change the toppings, as these polenta bites were topped with crispy bacon but the menu did not indicate this. Vegetarians in our group didn't realize this dish wasn't vegetarian. Chicken Milanese ($28)- the portion was very generous! It came with a large chicken breast and I requested to change the salad on top to Caesar. I appreciated their willingness to modify the order. All in all, I'd recommend checking out Village Social the next time you're looking for a dinner spot in the area.

We had unsweetened iced teas, and the kids' seltzer came in a kid-sized cup. After ordering, we were served cornbread sticks, which were really good and a hit with my son. Elwood also brought crayons and paper for him, which was a thoughtful touch. We started with the gator nuggets and frickles. The gator nuggets were our favorite appetizer. The frickles were good, but the batter was fairly thick, which made the pickle flavor a little subtle. For my entrée, I had the fried chicken with collard greens and mac and cheese. The chicken was nicely crispy and came with four pieces, though it was a little overcooked for my taste. The collard greens were on the sweet side, and the mac and cheese could have used a bit more flavor. The highlight of our visit was the service. Elwood was friendly, attentive, and struck the perfect balance of checking in without being overbearing. Overall, the food was a bit mixed for us, but the excellent service, family-friendly touches, and pleasant outdoor seating made for an enjoyable experience. We'll be back to try some of the other menu items.

Love the food! Love the service!…read more Ron our waiter was so friendly and accommodating!! The restaurant looks like a beautiful house with an outdoor porch where you have the option to dine on if you'd like. The inside you have a beautiful bar area to the left and a dining area to the right with a fire place giving a comfy upscale feel. The prices are a little on the pricier side so something to note. I recommend the shrimp tacos and Parmesan fries! You have the option to host events there too as I was witness to a couple during my time there. The only con is the parking situation. I've only ever been during the day for lunch and there are never any parking spots. I always spend a good 10-15 minutes circling around for one to open up. They do have a small dedicated lot nearby, but very limited spots and tight area. Plan accordingly.

Seats were hard as heck wood and mighty uncomfortable The food was--overall, mehhh First the potato skins were minuscule, Lilliputian and almost not even big enough to be considered bite sized The Caesar salad was...hmmmm, Ho-hum with fresh and crisp greens, ample if not generous Parmesan and tasty albeit stingy portion chicken. I tried the steak tacos and this was a fumble. Bland steak, miserly portions and soggy soft shell. The raviolis were a tad undercooked but really tasty. The sauce had a hair too much red wine but the taste as still very good and the portion rather admirable. I'd order it again. The Apple blossom desert was amazing. Dough was slightly and pleasantly sweet and the apple was caramelized and tender. So.... Food was a solid 3-4 The service a gentleman's C in or 3 The comfort and ambiance a 2
