Gosh, our dinner here was PERFECT. It is such a cool restaurant with a laid back, relaxing atmosphere. We went to Lee's next door for a drink which is down the hall, and loved it there too. Our server was very attentive, and when we were indecisive on food options, he gave honest and truthful feedback! He even got us the onion rings on the house because we were indecisive about appetizers. I wouldn't have normally ordered those, but they were SO good!! The food was worth the price, and I am looking forward to eventually coming back!!

We have been many times now since they first opened and the food has been consistently delicious. I appreciate that the menu rotates enough to keep things interesting but my favorites remain in rotation. Service is always friendly and the ambiance in the dining room is such a great vibe. We enjoy going for drinks at Lee's next door before coming for dinner. I love trying new dishes but I can never leave dinner without having the caffe noncoretto.

CHEF'S KISS I can't even begin to THINK of a word that describes the feeling(s) we have experienced. EUPHORIC. Our taste buds have exploded--and from someone who has had his fair share of Italian food, my boyfriend has rated this in the top 3. The tiramisu was heavenly. I loved how much Marsala was soaked into the lady finger sponge cake. And the white cream around it was the cherry ** on top! ... the food, the service, the decor was all-so-spitz-ing. Chico was a fabulous and attentive waiter who also respected our time. PSA there's a speakeasy with a ¡POST-IT! wall and photo both to share memories ... SHHH!

Grilled Branzino-$36! Delicious! Would've loved some lemon. Beware--FULL of bones!

What a delight to be given the opportunity to hang out with Milton and his crew! The space is small--very cozy and imitate, dim lighting. Please request the bread omg the best part of the meal. The breadsticks would most certainly be a last meal request from yours truly. The charred cabbage was satisfying...could've used a little salt. I appreciate the "small bones" warning from our waitress as I ordered the branzino but boy what an understatement!!! If I hadn't grown up in Louisiana picking bones since I was in diapers a choking incident or hospitalization would have been my wild card for the evening! The fish was delicate and fresh- could've used a little more salt. My rum based cocktail was divine, wish there was more of it. I'm grateful for the dining experience at Milton's! Grab bae and head over to Lee's for a smooth nightcap!

Epic date night spot! Unfortunately a bit hard to get a reservation at so would recommend planning ahead, but really delicious Italian food! The chicken parm is a great classic no ruffles parm. The scampi was incredible. Can always stop by their connecting bar Lee's before or after.

I started my evening at Milton's ascending a small yet imposing staircase to reach the dining area. I will say that the anticipation paid off. The place is impressive and elegant. The staff were also pleasant and attentive, checking in on us and making sure we knew what dishes were new and popular. Based on recommendations, I got the lasagna, which was designed based on the Italian flag and was stunning-both in appearance and taste. Each bite was balanced and flavorful, going well with both of the sauces. The chicken parm was also elevated in flavor, giving a home-like and rich feeling to each bite. For dessert I got the chocolate mousse and it was rich heavenly bliss. The meringue and mousse went perfectly together in both flavors and textures. A wonderful experience!

What an amazing experience! Each pasta has a delicious twist on how you know the original dish to be. Our waitress, who I missed the name of, was absolutely so incredible and honestly made the entire experience beyond exceptional. The restaurant feels like you're entering an old time Chicago Italian restaurant, it's a perfect date night or girls night spot.

What can I say?!!! From the service to the food to the drinks, everything was amazing. We went to Lee's first for a drink because our reservation time had not yet come. Both space were small but not cramped and the decor was nice. I had the chicken parm and also tasted the lasagna. The portions sizes were great and the everything was flavorful. I ordered a glass of wine as recommended by my waiter and was not disappointed. I'll be going back. I have so much to try.

Milton's is one of the restaurant concepts from the Local Foods Group. It's located in the former Benjy's and reservations are recommended. We sat at a two top booth. It was a bit small as we had jackets and purses, but we managed. Our server was Kara and she was great. My friend read reviews prior to our visit so she was aware of the complimentary bread basket. The bread basket is by request only and is not on the menu. It was really good and I'm glad we ordered it! The bread is baked fresh daily and they only bake enough for the day. I started with the Chaplin Swizzle. It was sweet and bubbly. The drink was very pretty and had a gradient effect. I also tried the Turin Horse which was similar to a Negroni. It had a completely different flavor profile, but I really enjoyed it. For my entrée I had the Roast Chicken. It was so juicy and flavorful. The portion was large and I had plenty for leftovers. I also enjoyed the bed of greens that accompanied the chicken. For dessert, I had the Olive Oil Cake. It came with vanilla ice cream and it was really good! I'm not sure if the chocolate cake is still on the menu, but we were told that it's the same recipe from Benjy's. Great food and great service! I'm really happy I had the opportunity to dine at Milton's!

After getting back from our Dallas trip, my friend and I were craving something comforting--so pasta it was (her favorite). We ended up here and honestly, it did not disappoint. We ordered the scallop special, chicken parm, and the sourdough tagliatelle, and everything was so good. You can really taste the difference--everything felt fresh, like it was made from scratch with quality ingredients. Service was also a highlight. The staff were super welcoming, attentive, and just genuinely nice, which made the whole experience even better. The ambiance was really cute and cozy--perfect for a date night or even a chill small group hang. Overall, a solid spot if you're in the mood for good pasta and a comfortable vibe

Milton's is a great spot if you're looking for Italian cuisine. Beautiful indoor decor, great for a date night, specially occasion or event. Bar area is very nice and great customer service. As it was our first time there the server gave us a complimentary mushroom appetizer it had great flavor although it is not on the menu. What I ordered : Appetizer Tuna N'duja (very fresh not too much flavor or spice) Sourdough Tagliatelle (10/10) Ruby Royale (fresh not too sweet) Pinot Noir One thing to note is Milton's has a speakeasy connected inside called Lee's. This makes it an even more fun time out because you can start at Lees and then go eat at Milton's or vice versa. There is also a photobooth at Lee's!

I think I owe Milton and an apology. Milton's was our backup restaurant on a busy Friday night, but it should've been our first choice. I'm sorry Milton. Having to walk up the steps into the restaurant and enter the art deco-esque atmosphere was a shocking and well received suprise upon entry. I have never been more impressed by a restaurants interior. And as a music lover, you could tell the playlist was personally curated to perfect the atmosphere. lover and I greatly appreciated this. The Ruby Royale cocktail was to our liking, as was the Arnold Palmer which was made with some kind of lemon soda. The bolognese was delicious with an abundant amount of bread crumbs that were to my liking. The chicken Parmesan was solid and well made. Not necessarily standout if I must point out however. I find chicken Parmesan to be only as good as it's sauce, and sauce there was little. Together with the polished luxe atmosphere, the service was outstanding and friendly. The friendly service leveled out the nerves of being in such a visually stunning environment.

Headed here for a birthday celebration and after we located the entrance and scaled the stairs, found a charming dining room with subtle lighting. Consider elsewhere if any of your party has mobility issues. The effort is worth it. Wait staff was very attentive and friendly. Answered questions and were quite knowledgeable about the menu. Started out with beef carpaccio and it was a lovely rendition that for my taste needed more caper presence and less of the flash fried greens but that's preference. Our mains were the hundred layer lasagna that rotates its composition with our version leaning deeply towards the traditional and the cresta de gallo which was rich and filling. They comped a birthday tiramisu which was huge and definitely after downing pasta, more than enough for two.

The lighting and atmosphere was perfect for a quaint date night. And I want to know what jazz playlist they were playing because it was great. What blew it out of the water was the service, particularly by the owner himself. As someone who works in the restaurant industry, having the owner on the floor is almost never seen. But this man was working all jobs: helping the hostess when she got super busy, food running, bussing, checking up on all tables, doing the best for everyone. Plus, he was incredibly kind with an amazing smile. Idk what he saw in my partner and I, but he gave us tiramisu on the house. We are not fancy influencers or rich folk, and I feel that was kinda obvious. But I think he did it just to make our date night a lil bit more special. And that kind of effort should be rewarded.

You can tell there's a real focus on fresh ingredients and authentic Italian flavors. The food is flavorful and satisfying without feeling overly heavy or salty like many American Italian chains. I feel comfortable feeding my child the food from here. I'm so glad to have found a quality Italian restaurant in Houston that lets the ingredients and flavors speak for themselves. Even the panna cotta was delicious, and I'm usually not much of a dessert person! Definitely a 5-star experience. We'll be back!

I've had Mimo on my radar for a couple of years, but somehow I never found the right occasion to finally give it a try. Well, celebrating both my birthday and wedding anniversary seemed like a pretty good reason! I must say, Mimo had to fight hard to earn those five stars. The experience was memorable, not necessarily because it was perfect, but because it wasn't. The imperfections, oddly enough, are what made it memorable. Let's start with the menu. There aren't many dishes, which is generally speaking a good sign these days. There's really no excuse not to use fresh ingredients when you're working with a smaller menu. At the same time, I wouldn't say the offerings were particularly adventurous. That said, the quality was definitely there. We started with the Fritter as an appetizer, and it was super delicious. The combination of fried zucchini, corn, and that touch of honey somehow really worked! Then we ordered a pasta dish each, under the common assumption that a pasta dish in most Italian restaurants (including the ones in Italy) is supposed to be filling. Well... no! These were pretty small. I ordered the spaghetti al limone, while my wife went for the gnocchi. Both were good, although the spaghetti were cooked somewhere on the borderline between al dente and chewy. The corn in the gnocchi also felt a little alien, like it didn't really belong there. Still, we couldn't deny that the flavors were good and the ingredients were fresh. Oddly enough, we were still hungry, so we ordered a second dish each: the Pork Milanese for me and the Pesce del Giorno for my wife. And this is where Mimo saved the day! The Pork Milanese, with mortadella and pecorino cheese on top, was delicious. And the polenta that came with my wife's dish was one of the best I've ever had. Interestingly, these dishes were disproportionately larger, more than making up for the minuscule portions of the pasta dishes. So, I guess it all worked out in the end! Another date saver was the service. It was outstanding. Attentive, friendly, and exactly what you would expect from a restaurant trying to create a special experience. Then came dessert: the Zeppole. It was good, but nothing particularly special. To me, it tasted like churros made with a dough that incorporated ricotta. Not bad at all, just not something I'll be dreaming about later. And that was our experience at Mimo! I think the review probably benefited from the fact that I was there celebrating a special occasion. It was a somewhat strange experience, with some ups and downs, but we genuinely enjoyed it. Would I be back? Possibly... Four stars stretched to five? Yeah... FIVE Stars!

Seafood lasagna (8/10) - the seafood is not lacking! Its very seafood-forward. Salmon, shrimp, clams. You definitely know you are eating seafood. The cheese/seafood/pasta/sauce ratio is spot on, well balanced. It felt more like a seafood dish than a lasagna/pasta dish. The food was very good, and the service was decent overall. We enjoyed our meal, which is why it's…read moredisappointing that our experience ended the way it did. We ordered the tiramisu for dessert, and nowhere on the menu did it mention that it was served with a slice of kiwi hidden underneath the whipped cream. I'm allergic to kiwi, and because it was completely covered, I didn't realize it was there until after I had already taken a bite. I brought this to our server's attention, not because I was looking for a discount or anything free, but simply because I wanted the staff to be aware so this wouldn't happen to another customer with a food allergy. Instead, the first response I received was asking if I had read the menu, which I had. Unfortunately, the menu never mentioned kiwi being part of the dessert. What really bothered me was overhearing the conversation afterward. Our server spoke with another staff member a few booths away, and I heard comments along the lines of, "Well, he should've mentioned his allergy," and "He should've asked." It felt like the responsibility was being placed entirely on me rather than acknowledging that an undisclosed ingredient had been served. I understand that customers with allergies should communicate them whenever possible, but I also think restaurants have a responsibility to disclose ingredients that aren't typically expected, especially when they're hidden in the presentation. I've had tiramisu many times and have never encountered one served with kiwi tucked beneath whipped cream. Again, the food itself was good, and this review isn't about trying to get compensation. I genuinely wanted to help prevent a similar situation for someone else. Unfortunately, the way my concern was handled left me feeling dismissed and caused me to lose confidence in the restaurant's approach to food allergies.
