I had a pretty legit super burrito with cabeza here as my brunch meal on a long drive…read more The truck is set up near a big enclosed area so you can get out of the sun or rain depending on the weather. There are also port a potty bathrooms, although they were locked. The location is basically at the end of a road behind a liquor store. Isn't that where the best tacos always are, somewhere off the beaten path? So before ordering, I did see a sign which I interpreted as "extra salsa costs money", which I find kind of annoying. Depending on how the salsa is, I may want to douse every bite in it, so I was hoping that at least what they did give was good. As it turned out, I didn't need to worry, since the sign actually means "no salsa included - at all". So that's kind of lame, what kind of place doesn't give you any salsa at all? Onto the burrito - despite no salsa, this was a very good burrito. A bit greasy, with a fair amount of oil leaking out, but that's normal for fatty braised meat like cabeza. Some salsa verde would have been welcome though. Size-wise it was totally worth it, the ingredients were well integrated, and the tortilla was chewy and held together to the last bite. The wrapping job was also good, so aside from the grease overflowing from my big bites, there were no leaks. I live nowhere near this place so I can't imagine when or if I'll be back, but as far as a good pit stop on I5 this place delivers.

We found El Capi on Yelp and were impressed by the great reviews. When we walked in, it was completely empty, which made us a little hesitant--but the vibes felt right, so we decided to give it a shot. First impressions? The place is super cute and spotless--huge for me. Even the bathroom was chef's kiss clean (major points!). The server was friendly, attentive, and welcoming. Booths were spacious and spotless. You can order from physical menus or scan a QR code, which is always a nice option. Here's what we ordered: * Caldo de Camarón * Calamari * Spicy Edamame * Two shrimp tacos * One fish taco * Shrimp tostada Everything was seriously delicious. The edamame had a great kick, and the calamari was perfectly cooked--crispy, not rubbery--and paired with a zesty tartar sauce that really elevated the dish. The tacos and tostada were fresh and flavorful. My only critique? The tortillas. That's the one area I'd love to see improved. Handmade or at least warmed on the comal would have really taken the tacos to the next level. Ours felt like they came from a microwave or warmer, which was a bit of a letdown. As for the caldo--it was flavorful and came with a generous side of onion, cilantro, and avocado, which I loved. The shrimp-to-broth ratio was perfect, but I wish there had been more veggies in the soup. A few more chunks of potato, some carrots, maybe a bit of zucchini or even corn would have made it feel more complete. One other win: the beans. My husband couldn't stop raving about them. We're not sure if they were made in-house, but they didn't taste canned, and that's a win in our book. By the time we were leaving, more people were coming in--which was nice to see. I have a feeling El Capi might be a newer spot, and I genuinely hope it takes off. If you're in the area, give them a shot and support a small business with a ton of potential!

While the app wasn't quite as user friendly as I would have liked I was able to figure out how to navigate and get my meal ordered. I entered the store and made my way to the kiosk to check in. I must have looked a little confused because one of the employees made their way over to me, kindly greeted me, and asked if I needed help. She proceeded to ensure I had done everything correctly and got me my drink straightaway. She was very kind, polite, professional, and helpful! The food was typical Taco Bell fare, it tasted as expected. It was fresh and looked good. The restaurant itself had a pretty good number of patrons dining in for as late as it was. The decor is exactly what you see at pretty much every Taco Bell nationwide. It was also pretty clean. I won't hesitate to pop by again in the future if I need a quick meal on the go.

Bringing it to a group of 3 people. I liked the enchirito! I still had my spicy salsa from LA Unicas so that's what went on it! I asked for NO Lettuce but they forgot so I ended up scraping it off. I used my App so I gained more points and decided not to use my free burrito at this time. It's okay for fast food ( used the drive thru).
