I've been to Mimi's Cafe a few times now, probably two or three visits, and overall I've had a pretty good experience each time. Came in recently to celebrate a girlfriend's birthday with a quick breakfast, and it was a nice, easy spot for that. The place seemed clean, service was good, and our food came out in a timely manner, which I always appreciate. For what you get, the portions and overall experience are solid. The breakfast was actually pretty delicious. I wouldn't say anything has ever wowed me, but I've also never had a bad experience here, which says a lot. I tried the chilaquiles for the first time and they just weren't my favorite. The sauce didn't really come together for me, but I still ate some of it. I'd probably skip that next time and try something else on the menu. Overall, it's a cool, reliable spot. Definitely somewhere I'd come back to when I want a simple, no-stress breakfast.

I went in for my birthday breakfast and brought my dogs so we sat in the outside patio. We were the only ones outside because of the record heat that was happening that day but it was 8:45am and in the shade the weather was nice. Jose was our waiter and we ordered a double almond latte and a coffee with a blueberry muffin. For entrees we ordered a quiche and a avocado bacon omelette. Jose was busy but he did a great job, the food was good and we had the patio to ourselves.

Came on a Sunday brunch time from reservations made with friends. We were immediately seated and asked about drinks/refreshments. I really enjoyed that they had an extensive menu and at first felt a bit overwhelmed. Suffice it to say I'm glad I decided on the chorizo omelet which was fantastic and really appreciated that the meal came with a muffin that they seemed to have a bountiful amount of flavors to choose from. My wife selected their 1/2 roast chicken, but I feel like she would've preferred the salad more. I think I would want to visit to try more breakfast options and desserts. It felt very quaint especially during the holidays.

We recently had a Celebration of Life for my brother and the service provided by Julio, and his team was phenomenal! Since my brother was a comic book enthusiast, we honored him with a Superhero theme. Julio the manager was very accommodating to ensure our event went very smoothly. Our servers Daniela and Brittany provided excellent service so that all of our guests had a wonderful dining experience. Special kudos to the kitchen staff who were on fire with their culinary talents in providing us with the most delicious meals. I highly recommend booking them for your next event!

Hadn't been to Mimi's Cafe in years and never for breakfast. It was a pleasant experience having breakfast here. The service was quick and food was excellent with decent size portions. Ambiance was so so, place was super busy, and servers were serving lots of tables. Place was pretty clean considering how busy it was.

I have been going to this Mimi's Cafe since I was a kid... wanted an early Thursday brunch feel for my ladies Birthed Day so we went here for her mimosa Kick! The baby had a standard cheese quesadilla and fries, I had a simple breakfast with sausage, eggs and potato's and she had the over the top French toast with eggs and bacon. We sat by the bar, drinks were fast, tv was on and the music was mixed but not too loud for a Thursday morning. Food was as it should have been, not over the top, nothing extravagant but most would rate this in the middle but I knew what I was coming for. If you want a decent breakfast with some drinks, this then place to go!

I have been coming here for years and the food is always delicious. I ordered the Birria omelette and it came out perfect. I also ordered the mimosa flight which was great. Our server was Jori and she was wonderful. Very attentive and very friendly. When we come back, we will request to be sat in her section. The inside reminds me a quiet French diner. It's a great place to take a family.

5 stars for food and service! It was our first time at this location. We usually dine at the Tustin location but were in the area and wanted breakfast in the evening lol so we said why not! Customer service was spectacular. Our server Eren was absolutely amazing. Never let our drinks go empty , always smiling and very fast. Food was delicious and warm. She recommended the blueberry muffin to us and It was spectacular. Definitely recommend it to everyone! read more

Our second time here. A great family friendly restaurant to come to after church! The blue berry muffin definitely nice and warm! When it's cold outside, I recommend the muffins! The mushroom burger was so good! My siblings and friend enjoyed their chicken strips. My mom and her friend really love their sandwich! Shoutout to Nancy to a great service, smile, and patience! ***STAY AWAY from booking as a venue!*** Horrible service provided. Mimi's is my go-to restaurant for all my events, unfortunately this time was not the top-notch service I usually receive. When I showed up, the staff had lined up uneven tables, mismatching chairs, no tablecloths, no extra tables as I had requested for gifts. When I requested to talk to Mona, manager, to express my discontent about how horrendous the place looked in comparison to other times I've booked in the past (I showed her pictures), she literally talked back to me saying that it wasn't her fault Mimi didn't allow tablecloths anymore, blame it on "COVID" excuse, couldn't do anything about it. She never informed me of this prior to booking, no heads up about bringing my own tablecloths. Completely unprofessional management and even worse topped with an attitude problem. Not only she was rude to me but did it in front of my guests. My guests couldn't believe the way she treated me. I will never book here again and hope you don't either. I was beyond embarrassed and mortified. I do have to clarify that the two waiters that assisted us were nice but seemed overwhelmed and not happy at all. This restaurant has gone downhill. Very unfortunate. read more

My boyfriend and I were just driving around looking for breakfast/lunch and hesitantly chose Mimi's today. So glad we did!!! Dinora is hands down one of the best servers I've ever had- just comes natural for her. The food was delicious and the restaurant is clean and managed well. The food and drinks were amazing here. I got the mimosa flight that comes with 3 juices: berry blend, mango, and white peach. I ordered the mix and match two where you have your choice of soup or salad and a sandwich w/ fries. My server Dinora (Dino) was amazing and gave off a motherly comfort. She noticed my fries may have sat for a while so she had the kitchen make a French batch for me without me asking! And was always very attentive. It was wonderful experience. The atmosphere is semi modern- country kitchen type vibes. Would recommend coming again! read more

The service is always top notch. The manager, Diane was very pleasant and was able to get us a refund on a food item as the lettuce was wilted so she took care of that and I was happy for that. The waitress was very helpful and was rewarded with a nice tip. Very good place to enjoy a nice dinner with not too many patrons there. Thank you for being respectful to my mom. read more

Last Saturday I came into the establishment for a good dinner and was greeted with kindness and led to my seat. As I was seated my waiter was quick to come and introduce herself as Vanessa, during my time eating here she was very quick with my drinks and whenever I needed any extra condiments or utensils she was back with them in a mannerly time. The food was brought out very warm and I enjoyed every moment and the amazing service from Vanessa she was kind and a quick worker hope to see her at my future tables!!! read more

I used to love Mimi's one of the best restaurants overall. Now the quality is really bad. I loves their muffins and croissants. My favorite was the carrot raisin nut muffins. Todays muffin is raisins only not one walnut, hard and chewy. I'm very dissatisfied and disappointed. I guess the location does count Riverside CA low quality! Costa Mesa and San Diego better quality! Also the location on Riverside CA has not taken down "Cook wanted" put up before the pandemic! I guess there're still looking for a cook after three years!!!! read more

My sister mom and I came to Mimi's around 10am on a Saturday. We called about an hour ahead to let them know we had a large group and they were kind enough to prep a table for us ahead of time so we did it have to wait upon arrival. We were sat and our server greeted us quickly and that was about the soonest we would ever see him again. Much of our 2 hour visit was spent waiting and waiting. We waited for waters and coffee. Our glasses were empty by the time he cane back to take our order. We waited again for refills. Thankfully our food was brought by others so we were able to eat but again any requests we had were long to ask and long to receive. The food was good and that made up for some of the other points that were lacking. Thankfully my sister had a wonderful time and we had plenty of time to talk and spend time together. read more

Love the bran muffins all day everyday !!! They r my go to all the time and love them lie a day kid loves cake! It's a hit or miss with the front desk tho sometimes they wake up on the wrong side and take it out on people... no no y'all! Two of us visited Mimi's on Grand Ave in Chino and requested to be sited in Arron's area. Why Arron you ask? Because he is attentive. Arron always greets us with a smile and salutation for the time of day. He took our beverage order and a few minutes later, took our meal order, and after being served, came back to see if we needed any thing else, not once or twice , but three times. And, each time he greeted us with a smile. If you go to this a location, ask to be seated in Arron's area. read more

We came here for a family dinner with about 8 people. On Saturday afternoon we came in around 630pm, the restaurant is big so wasn't crowded as much. Our waitress was really nice and made sure all our drinks were refilled at all times. Our food also came out quickly. Excellent service. Spinach Artichoke dip: Delicious Fried Zucchini Sticks: is ok Turkey Dinner: this is my husbands favorite. Its a thanks giving meal, you can have at any time of the year. Who can beat that. Salmon: it was good. Quiche Lorraine: Delicious. Grandma likes this restaurant for this dish. Love Mimi's Cafe! Love the ambience, the friendly crew, and the great tasty food. I've been here several times when I visit my daughter in Chino. Too bad they closed down the on by where I live. They have great menu variety and I want it all. What I usually do is share a meal with my daughter then share something else like stuffed french toast. They are open for Thanksgiving and taking reservations. Hopefully this location will stay open for a long long time. read more

Food was good. Service was good. But when we ordered creme caramel dessert was terrible. Better off buying same dessert from the market. My son thought it was mashed potato and he even asked where's the strawberry. He asked the server and she said "we ran out" instead of "I'm sorry can I get you something else?" We still gave her 20%. Service was slow tonight's (Tuesday) dinner hours. Servers were moving quickly but management is operating with less staff & therefore forcing patrons who are willing to overlook the very high prices to wait for service and their dinners. This is not sustainable business practices. read more

Nice atmosphere and friendly service, but not somewhere we'd probably drive out to often. It may be a better fit if you live closer to Corona and want a relaxed lounge spot.

I was finally able to figure out his last name. (It wasn't given out willingly and he made me guess after dropping a single hint). Will be on my way to collect my free bottle of wine for the month of June. Grafted Cellars is such a lovely place. I've met new friends as well as reunited with old ones. The staff was welcoming, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable right away. Our drinks arrived almost immediately after we were seated, and the service throughout the entire meal was impressively fast without ever feeling rushed. The food was absolutely delicious--everything came out fresh, hot, and full of flavor. The portions were also very generous, making the meal feel like an excellent value. A special thank you to our server, Nancy, who was beyond helpful. She was attentive, friendly, and consistently one step ahead of anything we needed. The food here is always ok. It takes too long to get, that is, if you get service. I have tried out this particular store more times than i should because my best friend loves the food. But this time when we came we waited for more than 5 minutes to be greeted by our server. Then another 10 minutes before she came back for our order. She must have been in the back doing SOMETHING but she wasn't on the floor serving people. The time before that we were greeted and then had our order taken right away but someone else delivered our food and then no one ever came back to help us. We ended up asking the host for help. Before that... the same thing... before that just the slowest kitchen service while the server kept coming back saying, "I just checked on it." You can only check so many times! There is a trend here. I just can't go back again. If you go and you have bad service, tell the management immediately so they can talk to their staff about this problem. read more

My server when I came to visit was Nancy. She provided me with an amazing first time experience. Nancy always had a great smile on her face and made me feel very welcome. She gave me detailed explanations of the dishes I had questions on, which I very much appreciated. Nancy gave me the best service and was always attentive towards me. I greatly appreciated her often checking in with me, making sure my food was great and I was ensuring that I was having a good meal. I'm a really big fan of Mimi's Cafe. While their prices are very good, their food is even better. The food is always fresh and the portions are pretty good. They have really good fresh orange juice, and amazing muffins. I usually get french toast or pancakes, which are both great options for those not sure on what to get. Mimi's does get very busy on the weekend mornings, but can be avoided if you go early enough. I would go there all the time for breakfast, but nothing else. I have also eaten here for lunch and dinner and I don't recommend it. The food was really greasy and just didn't taste nearly as fresh as their breakfast does. Friday morning about 11 -- thought it would be more quiet and genteel, but with a raucous party of 5 next to the two of us, there was no peace. There wasn't another table for 2 in the entire section, unfortunately. Had the Eggs Benedict (a tradition for me at Mimi's) and specified that I didn't want any 'gushiness' to the whites. So when it was put on the table, the entire top of the eggs looked like they were jello. I sent it back, and by the time I was served, my partner was finished. He had the Pain Perdue and wasn't happy with the small portion for a breakfast that costs $8.99. Everything tasted fresh, comforting, and beautifully prepared. We loved the fresh pot roast and salmon entrées, and the starters were perfect, especially the petite salad and petite Caesar salad. The desserts were such a sweet touch too -- the chocolate-covered strawberries were absolutely delicious, and the famous Mimi muffins made the meal feel extra special. Bernadette needs to do better as a waitress. I just left mimis on an empty stomach. This was the worst eating out experience I've ever had ! I ordered two jambalayas with rice I sat there for 30-40 minutes before they came out and told me there was no rice..... supper upsetting now I gotta go to work on an empty stomach. When I tried explaining my frustration to Bernadette she gave me an attitude and a nasty face . She said well you didn't eat but your kids ate like really that was super disrespectful management needs to talk to her sincerely. I feel that lately the majority of restaurants have been lacking quality service because of the pandemic, however, our server Jackie really went above and beyond for us. We've been coming to Mimi's for over 45+ years. This is our local hometown one. The service, hours and food are always great. During the shutdown we missed going out to breakfast or meeting family for special occasions, so I'm glad they are back and seem to be getting much busier more recently. My daughter and I have been coming to this location for a while. I was very disappointed when I ordered a $15 pot roast dinner and it was a plate of gravy soup with potatoes and very little pot roast and slivers of carrots. When the manager brought it back to the table after adding more meat(still no vegetables) it was microwaved and came out steaming hot. When I first received the dish it was not steaming hot. Very poor quality. I called the corporate office and they said I should have received whole carrots onion and celery in a small amount of gravy with a large portion of pot roast. Today we decided to come and we had to honor to have Isabella be our waitress. She was super sweet and nice always checking on us and making sure we had everything we needed. Tonight we treated my in-laws to dinner at Mimi's and it was great! This was the first time eating here for my mother-in-law and she was more than pleased.
