We went to @mimosagossip for brunch this past Sunday. We had tried previously and the wait was too long but today, I called and found out that we should text their number to get on their waitlist. That was so helpful and we had a minimal wait to be seated. It had a been a year ago since I visited with a friend here. I had the Island Getaway (strawberry, pineapple, and mango), Hubby had The Gossip (pineapple and mango), and Dad had Lemonade. This was my second time here. The first was years ago shortly after they opened. It's very cute, in a nice strip center. The service is friendly, but we waited an hour for our food and then another 20-30" to pay. The food is okay. I had the BLTA and loved the sourdough bread, but the eggs were over hard. I thought the whole reason for a fried eggs were for the saucy yolks? Overall, the group liked their food. Plus, it was Mother's Day, so maybe that added to the very long delay. Can affirm establishment is dog friendly. They were very kind and welcoming to the dogs. Water in a separate bowl was also offered to them. There is not a pet menu or pet-specific food but the 2x chicken strip meal on the kids menu is a great alternative. Front desk service is a bit frenetic. Our 15-20 minute wait was actually 35 minutes. I watched two groups of patrons waiting for a table eventually give up and leave. Restaurant was very full between 12-1pm. Crowd seemed to dissipate by 2pm. They close at 3pm but if you time it correctly, you can avoid the wait. Restaurant is aptly named. The real specialty of this location is their large assortment of mimosas. Each glass is unique in taste, design, and presentation. Food service time/pacing was off. Water to the table took 10 minute. Appetizer took 20 minutes (it was the egg rolls; they tasted great btw). Mimosas came out very quickly, arrival time of main dishes was appropriate. The menu gives inaccurate descriptions. The appetizer "mini chicken and waffles" is an entire full size Belgium waffles with 3 chicken strips (vs 1 per menu description). Not remotely an appetizer. The food is mediocre at best. The drinks I ordered for my flight were incorrect,the correct ones were tasty but weak and a few drinks that were ordered were forgotten. I don't recommend. Great for the drinks but the food left a lot to be desired. Average meal was about $15 for what felt like very standard breakfast dishes without any flair. The mimosa flight was super worth it, at $17.99 you get four mimosas of your choice from their basic/standard list so chances are I'd be back just for the drinks. The space is pretty small, just a square dining area with tables pretty close together, high ceilings, and mostly bare walls. There were women scream laughing and yelling to each other throughout so the noise really carried across, they really need to get some tapestries or something on the walls to dampen the sound. They haven't been open for long so I'll def be keeping an eye on their socials and hope for decor and menu improvements. read more

Thank you for the response, but several points were either misrepresented or conveniently left out. First, the floors were sticky throughout the restaurant, which made the environment feel unclean. Second, your claim about still seating guests isn't accurate--we were clearly the last ones there, and staff began stacking chairs around us while we were still eating. It absolutely felt like we were being rushed out. I also wasn't going to mention this, but since we're now sharing "full context" like family, I feel it's necessary to say: my server personally directed me to a restroom--then proceeded to walk in on me not once, but twice. That's not only embarrassing but completely inappropriate. Additionally, the food runner did throw my  plate down in front of me with noticeable attitude. My girlfriend had to calm me down before we said anything to avoid a scene. So once again, I encourage you to actually check your cameras and be honest about what really happened. At first glance from outside Mimosa Gossip, the place does look a little bougie. Then when you walk in, it's definitely bougie and the ladies in our party loved it. Pink neon signs, chandeliers to light up the dining area, champagne glasses on the wall and a beautiful chase for you to wait until a table is ready for you. It's a small establishment so unless you are in a booth, get comfortable being close to other parties. Mimosa Gossip is very clean and I liked that they thought about having hooks under the table for you to hang items, such as a handbag. The service was okay. Not bad but not above and beyond either. Was made aware that max time for sit down was 2 hours. They have a big selection of different mimosas to try and if you can't decide, get the Mimosa Flight. 4 mimosas for about $20 at the time of this review and they taste great. I got tempted to try their Peanut Butter and Jelly plate that is fried and powdered, French Toast style. Very sweet and so hard to put down. I do recommend if it's a "cheat day". My wife and I checked out Mimosa Gossip today for lunch and it was fine. The atmosphere is lively though it does get loud as others have mentioned. The service was fine but not exceptional. They have 4 menus, which I realized immediately that it was not a food place nor very organized. We started with the fried deviled eggs and as some mentioned before me, they lack flavor. I'd say seasoning in the batter would elevate these to something special, which would be great since it's a great food idea. Otherwise, they're just a bland fried food. I had the All meat omelet with hashbrowns and a fruit cup. The plate itself was average at best. The meat in the omelet was good but the egg felt overdone and not fluffy like an omlet usually is. The hashbrown was good but I must've had one near the bottom of the packaging as there was a piece of plastic wrap cooked into the corner of the hash brown. I received more of a bowl for the fruit, and it made the fruit seem sad as you'll see in a picture. My wife had the club sandwich with fries and again, not much better. The sandwich was pretty good, but the fries were peppered yet bland and felt like an afterthought. I think this place really puts quite a bit of effort into its mimosas and could be special if it put the same effort into the food. I'd return with friends to happily enjoy mimosas but definitely not a place that I'd seek out or recommend eating at. read more

Our table was waiting for us when we got to the restaurant and our server immediately took our drink and appetizer orders. We started off with the fried deviled eggs which was good. We then went with several entrees which consisted of pancakes, French toast, Belgian waffles, omelette ams sandwiches. We all enjoyed our selections. If there was one negative, it would be the acoustics of the restaurant. It's pretty loud in there so we found ourselves having to raise our voice in order to hear each other. I don't think it's fair to be overly critical of them since they are still super new, that being said, I did have a wonderful time here! I went with my girlfriend and roommate and it was nice, I do kinda feel like they haven't found their "identity" yet if that makes any sense, but it's a nice vibe. This place is a whole vibe with Instagramable features that include neon lights, exquisite chandeliers, and an overall fun and inviting atmosphere. The drinks though! My friend and I each had a flight of mimosas that were generous in size which we both very much appreciated. Together we tried about half of the mimosa menu, and you cannot go wrong with any of them. Some had orange juice and some had lemonade. All were delicious and fruity with a great juice to champagne ratio. Don't pass up this food! The pancake tacos are filled with scrambled eggs with bacon mixed in, and were to die for. The side of house potatoes had the perfect crunchy outside and soft warm inside for this potato connoisseur. The service was also as excellent as the drinks and food. All of the servers and managers we interacted with were so friendly and attentive. The staff was rude and lazy, the food was flavorless and the overall ambiance was we were not welcome and needed to leave. I so wanted to like this place but when the server threw out mimosas on the table (4 of us got flights), we were an inconvenience when we asked for the tree (over 20 stands just sitting there together not being used.) She rolled her eyes and brought it over. Why advertise that feature if the presentation and experience does not truly come that way and it's only used to market new customers? Unfortunately I did not get photos, as we jumped up and left fast in horror . I'm sure the other people seated around us can attest to this story. The woman who I'm assuming is the owner/manager greeted us at the host stand but she wasn't very friendly and we were told there is a "2 hour table limit due to popularity". when she saw the commotion of the bugs she told us to just move tables.. If you're are going for Mimosa this is the spot with over 30 varieties you will not be disappointed. I had the Fried deviled eggs and they lacked seasoning (basic salt and pepper) which made them dry. I also ordered the everything cucumber which had a no bake cream cheese kind of topping which to me didn't go well together. We also ordered the peanut butter and jelly French toast plain which was the bomb. The reason for 5 stars the atmosphere definitely gives brunch vibes and will keep you there for hours wanting to taste every Mimosa combo on the menu. Along with other brunch items. Not only that, they ran out of eggs (they were unprepared knowing they had accepted reservations for big tables) and did not tell us until ~30 mins after we ordered. The BLTA (bacon lettuce tomato & avocado) didn't come with lettuce but instead with spinach. Not too big of an issue because I like spinach, but the name & description is misleading. Our server forgot items for three dishes and we had to remind him. Food was decent-ish. Service is terrible.
