I love Minaillium. My mother has been coming to this nail salon for over 20 years. She used to go when she was pregnant with me, and over the course of growing up I was repeatedly brought back. I've known Jodi and David for for about 17 years. They are such wonderful people, and the other staff are so kind. They always do a great job. They may not be in the best location, it may not look as fancy as other nail salons, and it may be cheap, but everyone takes their time to achieve what you are looking for. They are very good when it comes to something you don't like. They'll give you discounts or even just start over from scratch with no problem. They are truly a hidden gem in Santa Clarita. If you are looking for waxing of any sorts, especially eye brows, look to Jodi. She takes her time and does everything with excellence. I've had disasters in the past, but Jodi always has the best solution possible. David on the other hand does the best nails. Nail painting, designs, acrylics, you name it and he does it. I will have to say, some of the customers who are regulars at this place treat the staff with the not-so-best attitude. They talk like they can't understand English, and they're always having some type of stupid remark or problem. From my experience, early morning appointments or late afternoons are the best to relax and just enjoy without having some woman get loud for no reason or talk your ear off about one of her family problems. This was our first time there, we normally go to a place in Encino but didn't feel like driving to the Valley. So I took my teenage daughter to Minaillium a few weeks ago for dueling mani-pedis. Everyone was very friendly and we were taken on time. The pedis include a pretty lengthy foot/leg massage and that was awesome. They also do fun designs (my daughter had pretty awesome zebra design). Prices were very reasonable. The reason for three stars is because my polish was chipping after less than a week. I am used to having gels, so maybe I am a little harder on my nails than most, but I still thought it was the quality of the polish. I didn't see much cleaning of spa basins going on between customers and the place I normally go to has cleaning goes on constantly and is very noticeable. Lastly, when we went to pay I was chastised for wanting to add the tip to the credit card charge rather than paying in cash. In the end the owner allowed it, but I was told that next time I had to have cash. That was a little uncomfortable. read more

This was one of my favorite place to go get my nails done. But since Jodi and David left the place went down hill. The nail techs rush and don't listen to what what you really want and do what they want to do. I went into get a nail fix it took me two times coming back and they still wouldn't listen to what I want. Just came back from getting a Pedi with my 7 y.o. We both received a warm welcome and friendly service. We got the basic spa pedi and they took their time. We did not feel rushed like other places. It was a good hour of relaxation, hot towel, leg massage, and reasonable prices! When my 7 y.o. wanted gold sparkles and flower design, they didn't hesitate. My pedicure was nice, lengthy message but my manicure was so quick and there were spots on my nails that weren't covered. They do a really good job here. They could spend a little more time on the massage part of the pedicure, But you don't have to wait too long and their pedicure designs are adorable. HOWEVER, the only thing I dislike is the fact that they over book like ALOT. I had made an appointment A WEEK before @3 for a pedi and mani this was for prom so I couldn't leave without my nails done. Anyways I wasn't attended until 3:45 just for the pedi after the pedi it was 4:15ish I had to wait 2 hours for someone to get to me to do mani! I came here for eyelash extensions yesterday and I was not prepared for the stress and pain I would have to go through following that decision. The room where they do eyelash extensions is not sterile AT ALL. The women who did them did not change tools between me and my friend, further proving they do not care about sterilization. Once she completed my lashes I was in pain instantly. I said that it hurt and I was in pain and she said "no wait 24 hours then see if there is pain". Instead of helping me and solving the issue she told me to deal with the pain and discomfort I was having until the next day. While my friend was getting her lashes done, she kept asking if I eat food and was insulting my body image, which I have had insecurities about. That was absolutely outrageous and out of line. Following the terrible appointment I went on with my day, in pain. When it got time for bed time I couldn't even wash my face, just touching my eyes caused me an abundance of pain. At this point my eyes were bloodshot red. When I woke up my eyes were still bloodshot red AND my eyelids were completely swollen. The product was so unsanitary and unsafe I had a severe reaction. I calmly went back today to ask them to remove them. They said to wait three hours and come back. I couldn't even see, let alone drive because of my swollen eyes. At this point I had to take them out myself just to end the suffering. This left me with little to no eyelashes. My friend went back three hours later and the women reluctantly took her to the unsterile room to remove the lashes. While in the room she used tweezers to rip them off. My friend was in excruciating pain and kept telling her to stop. The woman help her down and would not let her move saying "no", and continued to tweeze the eyelashes out of her eye. She also burped in her face three times, and said many rude comments about how difficult she was. This minimal description of what happened in that room doesn't even account for the dangerous actions of the employee towards my friend. Not only was that women rude, but the manager was also very rude. He was unhelpful and when speaking to him in a calm manner he would snap back and yell. When we finally left they screamed "never come back here! Get out"! They were so unprofessional, unsterile, rude, impatient, and disgusting in character. I will never go to this place again, and I hope none of you go either. Save yourself the time, money, and mental sanity. If I could give -5 stars I would. read more

I am definitely devastated to write this as i've been coming here to get my nails done for years and this is definitely a review years coming let me start off by saying that sometimes SOMETIMES when i go in i am seen very quickly and am over the moon with how awesome my nails come out for such a low price but most times it doesn't turn out that way. most times i go in even though i have an appointment i must wait 30min-an hour to even sit because a walk in came in before me and that would be fine if they just took walk ins but they tell you you have an appointment then don't honour it and lie about wait times (will say it will only be 15 min then ends up being an hour) and ignoring the customer service they lie about what they are capable of with the nail art i can't explain how many times i have gone in and asked if they could do something while reassuring that if they couldn't i could pick something else out and they say yes then do it completely wrong and don't listen to feedback today i went in and said multiple times about how i wanted something and i was told that it looks fine they even put the completely wrong color on one of my nails and instead of fixing it i had to ask for half of it to be the right color i tell them i don't like the pink they are putting on my nails they say they will cover it and don't cover it i ask for something to be fixed and instead of admitting to a mistake and offering to fix it no charge they get mad and charge more i usually would go too see daniel and he is obviously more advanced in the nail art department but he still over books himself and makes people wait rushes the nails so they end up being crooked or wrong or just overall half done i gave them 2 stars because of the pricing and the fact that it has come out looking good a few times but other than that i am so dissatisfied and disappointed and after 5 years of this i will no longer be going back and i hope this review can help someone who is expecting a lot it won't be good and you'll end up falling asleep from how long you have to wait read more

Came in for the first time with a friend and made a huge mistake. I don't write a lot of reviews but I used yelp almost everyday for reviews. I'm writing this so nobody else makes the same mistake as me and comes here. I came in for nails I usually get my nails with gel but really want short COFFIN nails flat at the end but I got these weird shaped "things" is what I call them. Paid 35 (5 dollars extra for shape) dollars for something my daughter could of done a better job doing! When I told her they were too sharp she goes well that's coffin and I should have told her before ummm first no that is not coffin and second I did tell you I wanted them flat and more square how is square associated with sharp!!?? Never again please save yourself and pay (less at The usual spot I go to) and get what YOU ARE PAYING FOR. read more

I got my mani-pedi done here yesterday. The chair I was sat in was old and falling apart, and the massage part of the chair was malfunctioning when I tried to turn it off, it wouldn't! I had to push a different massage button and then press off to get it to work. I also noticed that after the lady that cut my toe nails, went to take a break and didn't clean her tools right away, when she came back she had another client, she didn't even clean off her tools before using them on someone else! Can we say GROSS! A lady next to me had finished her pedicure and left, and no one cleaned the tub her feet where in before they sat someone else in the same chair! I love to come to minaillium for my pedicures. They do amazing zebra design, and great frenched tipped! It looks better then anywhere else I have gottten my toes done. For the spa treatment and frenched tip toes it was $23 which isn't bad, especially because the pedicures last me 4-6 weeks! I just went yesterday, and i love how much time they spend on the massage and cuticle treatments. I would definitely recommend this place-but if you can try to pay in cash because they don't like it when you pay in card. read more

It's been a few years since I first started coming. The quality of the nails David does is still very good. I've tried to get a pedicure here, but would rather go to The Nail Forum. They spend more time, have more colors, and act like they want to help you. The two or three times I had a pedicure here I felt like it was an imposition so I stopped requesting it. Appointments need to be very flexible. I always made an appointment but David was late 98% of the time. Sometimes late with clients, other times for personal reasons, the last of which was he was napping in the facial room. My time is very valuable, so this lack of consideration has worn my tolerance thin. I'm going somewhere else that may not have the same quality but will be on-time. read more

This was the WORST experience I have ever gone through. I went to go get eyelash extensions and the lady that did them was rude to me and my friend and had no respect for us as customers. After she applied the lashes, they became swollen and irritated. I went back the next day to get them removed and get my money back, but they refused to refund me. The lady said she will take them off for free, so I went into the room and the lady was pulling on my lashes with TWEEZERS. She was burping in my face and being very rough with me. She kept saying that she was tired and she was throwing things around the room. After I was crying and asking for a break, she held me down and wouldn't let me get up. My eyes were being stabbed and they were burning. After almost an hour of trying to speak to the manager nicely, he was being so rude and disrespectful. He refused to give our money back and he did not seem to care about what happened. He finally gave our money back but once we were leaving, they screamed at us and told us never to come back. I think they're great. Thomas does my nails, he is so gentle & does a wonderful job. Sometimes I get a design on all nails, sometimes just 2. I'm always pleased. The Spa Pedi's are so wonderful. As for the one comment that someone wrote, "It's not an expensive place, this is probably why the people who get their service here have NO class." I don't think this place is so cheap that only "low class" people will/can afford, I think it's reasonable. I go there every 2 weeks, sometimes sooner if I have a special event. I have been going to this salon for over 2 years with standing appointments every other week, they do a good job, but every time i had to wait at least 15 min. before David took me. the last time i waited 45 minutes while he was doing another client, in that period he didn't have the decency to get out of his chair and let me know how long I have to wait and reason for it, so after 45 minutes I just left and announced that I will never come back. I think he rather take a walk in customer to make more money instead of taking care of existing one. By the way neither him or his wife called me to apologize and ask me to go back. But when I have been there, the service is not very friendly, the interior needs some upkeep and the pedicure was not thorough. Super awesome! Lindsey was my girl. They do these really intricate designs on your tootsies. Mine look like swirled candy, the lady next to me got something like the Burberry design. They took alot of time making sure my cuticles and things were gone and looked clean. They massage your legs for what seems like forever too and it's a GOOOOOOOOD massage...ugh I would pay just for that massage. Anywho I went in there for my first time and this is my review, I went because of the yelp photo. Even Lindseys nails were done up. This is my new pedi place....I payed 30 for the massage and design.
