This place is really expensive and do a bad job. The waiting time is unacceptable. I waited for more than 45 mins. I really like this nail salon. The owners Jodi and David do a great job! The staff is friendly and the prices are very reasonable. Jodi does the most amazing designs on finger and toes that you have ever seen. And I am not exaggerating. I get so many complements on my toes. David does a great job with gel manicures as well. The owners Jodi and David are the sweetest couple and their staff is extremely friendly and good at what they do. I go to Thomas for pedicures and I also get pink and white acrylics with him. He takes his time, is always happy to see you, and most importantly he is great at what he does. He puts in time and effort and it is obvious that he enjoys what he does. Awesome service. I got a regular pedicure but it was far from regular. My toes look great and the job wasn't rushed. No wait time. We arrived at 6 pm on sunday the time they close, but they were take us and take time to do our toes. Again, the place is huge and they have plenty of people there to work. read more

I am going on my 6th year at this nail salon and I can't recommend them enough. I have tried others within the last 6 years and every single one has come up short when I compare. For example, for a French acrylic mani, I went with a friend where she goes, and they use a template for the white tip. David does a manual white tip which looks so much better because it's custom. I get a short acrylic and I never deviate. I have had consistent service every single time. I have tried places 5 mins from my house, and they have all come up short. I choose to go from Copperhill to Lyons because I know exactly what I'll get and it's exactly what I want. read more

I was not happy with my nails at all. I got a gel mani and less then a week they were chipping. When I went in to show them and they were very rude and unprofessional. The salon is very old looking and run down. I would never go there again nor recommend anyone to go there. There are far better nails salons in the SCV. Fail! read more

Hands down the best place for acrylic nails. David does the best work, but it's really difficult to get an appointment. I'm a dog groomer, my nails get beat up... Constantly in water, hit with the dremel, and they take the occasional bite. When David does my nails they can take all the abuse without lifting, cracking, or breaking for a month! Ever since I found this place, I've been going here religiously because they've always done a good job on my nails and are incredibly accommodating. There's literally a photo of a nail set they did for me a few months ago in the pictures (yellow nails with a red balloon). However, today was just, ridiculous. If i'm paying to get my nails done, I expect them to turn out how I want them. I came in with my friends and they were seated first, now i don't mind waiting (i waited for probably 30 minutes), not too bad. Now, because i waited so long, i would assume that my nail tech would be accommodating. If i say i don't like something, i'm not just saying it. I want it fixed. If i'm paying, i don't care if there are other people waiting, they can wait as long as I waited. I'm very disappointed because my usual guy wasn't here so i went with someone else. The shape and length are totally fine and what I wanted, so thank you to the kind man who did them. But the color/design? The woman who did them was rude to me and said she wouldn't fix it because people were waiting. I'm going home and fixing my nails myself because she didn't want to. Had a pedicure and gel manicure before vacation. It was just ok. I enjoyed the pedicure, but the gel manicure was really pricey!

The job they did was AMAZING! They truly take the time to do a detailed mani/pedi, not just rush through and do the bare minimum. When scrubbing the bottom of my feet, or clipping the hang nails, he took very much care in the details to be sure it was perfect :) PLUS, you get a very long massage! And GREAT prices! read more

I've been going off and on for several years. But after trying many salons in the SCV, I think minallium is the best! I really like Kim. She always does a great job on my mani-pedi! I never get artwork on my nails but I've seen some of the work they do and it's unique and beautiful. The staff are all nice and the prices are reasonable. I used to go to a different nail salon in Valencia, and they were great but always so busy that it was hard for me to find an opening with my schedule, so one day I went to Minaillium instead and I'm glad I did. I usually see Jodi, but David is also very good at acrylics. I get the "coffin-shape" and I LOVE the way that they shape it, and the acrylic and color always holds for at leat 2-3 weeks which is better than other places I've been to. I feel more "at home" here and always have good conversation with Jodi as well as the other girls, and they always remember me, my name, and my preference for nails as well as things I've told them about myself. I have been getting my eyebrows waxed by Jodi for at least 3-4 years now. I went back 2 days ago for the first time in probably 8 or 9 months expecting to see Jodi's friendly face. I don't know if she's stopped working there or maybe she was just off for the day, but it was a different waxing girl. Since I was already there and needed my eyebrows done, I went ahead and got them done by the new waxing girl. Bad idea. As soon as I went in the waxing room I got a bad feeling. As soon as she puts the wax on it is way too hot. I know the wax is suppose to be hot but I never once felt like it was "too hot." At one point she gets wax stuck in my little baby hairs by my ear and she starts trying to pick it out and put oil of some sort in my hair so she can comb it out. Doesn't apologize or anything! Then after she finishes my eyebrows and upper lip, she starts rubbing the same oil all over my skin! Jodi always put aloe vera on after waxing but this was definitely oil. Now, two days later, I'm breaking out all around my eyebrows and upper lip and this morning I noticed that my eyebrows aren't even! Talk about a waste of money! Looks like I might start getting my eyebrows threaded from now on because if it's normal to cover your client in oil after you're done waxing then I'm out. I normally love Minaillium but I was not satisfied this time around. read more

I came here today with my 3 year old daughter and I got a pedicure and she sat there patiently on my lap waiting for her toes to be painted after mine. I figured the girl that was painting my toes new my daughter was sitting there waiting bc she kept saying she is getting her toes painted purple over and over! It was obvious my daughter and I were there for a reason. At the end of my pedicure I asked kindly if my nail lady can paint "ONLY PAINT" my daughters toes and she said no time and moved to the next person to start their pedicure. I was on fumes! I came here for gel polish on a Friday afternoon. David did my nails. He was friendly, but the whole experience just felt awkward, like I was imposing or wasn't supposed to be there. He removed the old gel polish like normal; the tin foil with the polish remover, etc. Normally, after that step, the old softened polish gets scraped away with a nail file. HE SCRAPED THE OLD POLISH OFF WITH HIS THUMB NAIL. I was a little grossed out by that, and I'm not the type of girl that gets weirded out easily. But I thought, "What the heck, it won't kill me." So then he started painting the new polish on. The UV light he used was a disaster. It kept going on and off and on and off, so he grabbed my wrist and shoved my hand further into the lamp. This particular lamp had bulbs sticking out, so my fingers actually got burned. I had a burn mark on both hands for about a week after. It was actually pretty painful. Looking back on it I totally should've told him that it was burning my fingers and just asked for him to change it, so part of that is totally on me. But, the reason I didn't speak up is partially because I just felt so uncomfortable. About half way through, he finally switch out the glitchy UV lamp for one that worked like normal. I was so relieved. The rest of the experience was okay, and my nails did look good. The gel polish lasted for quite a while and didn't start peeling until about a month later. I tried this place for the first time based on the favorable reviews and that it is near my home. I've been going to another salon but my regular gal left so I thought I'd try another place for gels (I don't trust the other gals there to do my gels). I was pleasantly surprised at how nice my nails came out with this new place. I had them done by Thomas and I was skeptical because I don't usually get good mani's from guys (with one exception from a guy who does great acrylics). Thomas was gentle with my cuticles, and was very precise with the gel product (they use Gelish). I am refraining from a full 5 stars until my mani lasts the two weeks I expect a good service to last. I only waited 5 minutes (with an appt). Gals look happy and friendly and not much chit-chatting amongst the nail techs which can sometimes be irritating. Place appears clean. I'll have to try a pedi next time. I would recommend this place. read more
