Sadly I was not treated with respect at this practice. Even though I requested a new patient appointment, Erica incorrectly booked me for a regular appointment, two times in a row. Perhaps an admin assistant is needed to properly run this business. Erica offered to complete the 30 minute intake session over phone on a Friday night before my Saturday morning appointment, which I thought was amenable. But then the next day she made me pay for it. That is not a respectable way to run a business. When you fail to book someone properly twice in a row, the decent thing to do is make it right. She charged me even though the service was not rendered as advertised--in person, during my regularly scheduled session. I had to cancel my Friday night plans, and she still made me foot the bill for the phone call. This is neither good business practice nor ethical behavior. I do not recommend supporting this institution. Additionally, the location is next to a busy street and the curtains are sheer, creating a very bright, noisy space not conducive to relaxation. I left all my sessions with Erica with a headache, and sadly felt no beneficial effects from the treatment. I write this review hoping Erica does not treat future patients the way she treated me. read more

I had never done acupuncture and acquired an acute virus last year. My health practitioner said good rest and building my immune system was all I could do. My friend referred me to Erica and after ONE yes ONE treatment I was on the path to recovery. I could feel the life force coming back immediately. It feels silly to say this but it really is as easy as napping (only a pinch more thrilling). After the first session with Erica, I felt something indescribable at the time - a feeling which I only later realized as calm. It took a whole week to realize that as my body had forgotten what it felt like. And when I finally did, I thought "is THAT what calm feels like?" I love going to Erica! I first started as a patient because I was dealing with some very intense vertigo. I had been to multiple doctors before Erica, and nothing quite seemed to work. Between acupuncture and different exercises, Erica worked closely with me to find a solution that worked! She is thoughtful, caring, and listens closely to your needs. I started seeing Erica almost 9 years ago. I have gone to her for fertility help with both my children (support for IVF), both of my pregnancies and both of my post-partums. She has treated me successfully for tendinitis, lower back pain, digestive issues and sleep issues. If I go to her in the beginnings of a cold she can usually stop it from forming. If not, the cold is usually shorter and milder. I go now every time I get a tickle in my throat. And now I go to her because I have a herniated unbiblical cord as a result of giving birth. I went to my doctor with pain in my abdomen and was told there isn't much they can do. There is no diet or exercise that will help heal it. If I end up with burning pain at my belly button I was instructed to go to the emergency room. But, I went to Erica to see if she could help. She has helped tremendously! Anytime my stomach starts to get sore I go to her and she relives the pain. I am a believer that acupuncture can help with many different body issues but why go to Erica over other practitioners? I like her approach of a mix of acupuncture, herbs and massage/body alignment: the perfect mix for me. She uses cupping, moxa and other eastern techniques in her treatments. She really listens to you to understand the whole problem. She recommends diet tips to help as well but her approach is realistic - she doesn't expect you to change your lifestyle to see results. Her offices are warm and inviting and look like a spa treatment room. I cannot recommend her enough. I give her number to all my friends who complain about their bodies (migraines, sleep, digestion, etc). She is wonderful! read more

I've been going to Erica for around 8 years, more or less frequently as the need arises. I find her much more attentive than a medical doctor just rushing to get to he next patient. I've seen her for acupuncture, cupping, and herbal supplements. I feel she looks at you and your symptoms holistically, and is both a great listener and offers good advice, and i always feel like she's someone to which I'm accountable. Erica is incredible!!!! The number of ailments she has treated me for is too long for this review....lol. She lowered my highish cholesterol to the point where statins became unnecessary. When I sprained my ankle like a klutz, she lowered the swelling and pain in one session. Colds, fixed. Headaches, fixed. Knee pain, gone. Weird heart flutter, gone. When I came to her with Dupuytren's (a strange curling-finger disorder) she went out of her way to research possible solutions that kept my hand more flexible until surgery finally became necessary. Besides needles, she's amazing at pain reduction, and of course, cupping, which has kept my lower back (motorcycle accident) manageable and pain-free. Her treatment room feels like a spa, and she is a wealth of medical knowledge, an adventurous researcher, a dedicated mom, and one of the kindest people I know. While I'm not a regular recipient of acupuncture, I have been to Erica a handful of times and the experience has always been gratifying. This review is WAY over due! Erica is truly a kind, professional, knowledgeable and caring person!! I was referred to Erica by a couple of my clients, both just raved about her, so I knew once I needed a acupuncturist (she's much more then just that) I would be calling on her. I have to back track a bit to say that my needs were put on hold because my brother was battling stage 4 cancer last year. He lived in San Diego and as his health declined and was in such pain, discomfort and experiencing extreme swelling throughout his body, I brought him up here to see Erica. She went out of her way to get him in right away and was SO gentle, caring, compassionate, helpful, and generous with her time! You'd think, yeah, of course she was kind to someone dying of cancer, but you'd be surprised! My brother and I experienced cold, flaky, unprofessional, and down right rude businesses in San Diego that refused to see him because he had cancer. Erica ended up seeing my brother twice (he had never had acupuncture before), he left feeling some physical relief and very touched by Erica's caring ways and great herbal recommendations!! Watching a loved one deteriorate, be in constant pain and eventually lose them is beyond heartbreaking. The last couple years have been painfully difficult, but there are moments in all that darkness that shine bright, Erica helping my brother was one of those shining moments!
