They responded right away, and took the job. JFK was honest with the price and details, NO hidden fees at all.. They quoted for a 3 bedroom/2 bath house, which included four movers, the truck, gas, mileage, 4 hr minimum (beyond fair!), $249hr cash / $259 card (and they offer Zelle), $50 deposit to confirm, and they kept in touch during the week via text to confirm the appointment and details. Arrived precisely at 8am, asked for a walk through of what we were questing to move, and started at 8:15. I only requested help with the heavy furniture, but requested to move my "knick knacks" solo. They started at 8:15am, and perfectly moved all furniture, packed, and plastic wrapped everything, including all heavy appliances, and had everything in the new house by 11:19am. They moved quick, efficiently, wrapped everything, and got the job done so quick. They took the stressful feeling of moving, and literally made it the best purchase and decision I've ever made. Nice, respectful, and the hardest workers I've met. Nothing broken, nothing cracked, and went the extra mile to ensure all furniture was torn down and reassembled properly, and all possessions placed gently in the right rooms. I wouldn't ever consider moving again with out JFK's help, but I would personally request the following: Lavar J, David R, Kamron S, and Peter M for my service. Oscar and Nick texted me when they were 30 minutes away, showed up on time, were friendly, worked quick, and were careful with my belongings. I moved out of a 4th floor apartment into a 2nd floor walk up. They were also able to disassemble my wood bedframe and put it back together for me in my new place and also lifted my heavy dresser up the stairs. Beware!!!! Its laughable the name of this company…read more Before booking I told them I needed an adjustable base bed moved from upstairs and that it was very heavy. He said no problem, they do this all the time. He said he would bring a 3rd guy just in case. He stated they bring all the blankets/supplies for protection. I booked them. He has you Zelle his wife Christina. They were supposed to show up at 7:30 but didnt arrive until 8. He did communicate he was running late but blamed it on U-Haul. He showed up, was very nice and talkative. There was only him (Abe) and another guy. I asked where the third guy was and he said that there was no need that they could do it. They then took the mattress and had no cover for it so I had to find some plastic to use. Had he not said he had everything I would have made sure I had a proper mattress cover. Then they started moving the adjustable base. They damaged my floors and ceiling all the way down the stairs. The top of the stairs is completely dented in and the subsequent stairs are chipped beyond repair. He apologized profusely and kept saying "don't worry, I've got you, I'll get this fixed." He was extremely kind the whole time, he kept apologizing and kept promising how he was going to get it fixed. At the end, I ended up paying the entire fee with trust that he would come through on his word, his name is indeed Honest Abe. It all started out just fine, he messaged me the next day that he was working on getting someone to come. A date was set up, I rearranged my work schedule to accommodate when he could be here but low and behold he said that he needed to move the time to the next day. That night I found out that it needed to be postponed again. Since then he has not responded to any phone calls or text messages and it's been a couple weeks. This is extremely disappointing. For someone who calls himself honest please take a look at my summary: 1) Didn't show up at time HE set up 2) showed up with one less guy than stated. 3) didn't have the proper supplies as promised 4) Ruined 7 Stair Nose pieces 5) Chipped and dented my ceiling 6) Promised he would fix it. Sadly, Im not the first. There is another review on here that sounds extremely similar. Do not trust "honest abe"!

Dave is a genuine-hearted individual who truly cares about his clients. He's not in it to make a quick buck and never takes advantage of anyone. As a senior citizen, I've dealt with many moving companies over the years that promise quality and service but deliver nothing more than empty marketing. Dave is the complete opposite. He tells you exactly what the cost will be--no hidden fees, no nickel and diming. What you see is what you get, and that honesty is rare these days. On top of that, Dave is incredibly handy. He takes the time to disassemble furniture, office desks, or anything else that requires extra effort--and he does it with care.
