    Coconut cassava soft serve sample
    Samantha C.

Celebrated our anniversary here and had a great experience. Reservations are super easy through Open Table. When we made the reso, only bar seats were available to choose. When we got to the restaurant, they saw we requested a table if possible. There was a table available when we arrived, so they were able to seat us at one. The staff also made sure to wish us a happy anniversary. Right off the bat, we felt they intentionally made sure their customers have a good experience. The interior is very nicely decorated. There are tables around the perimeter of the space and the bar is on the inside. The food was fantastic. We came here because of a recommendation from friends and it did not disappoint. We debated between ordering a la carte or choosing the chef's menu. We ended up doing a la carte because there were a few items not on the chef's menu that we wanted to try. We got the hamachistek crudo, tuna kinilaw, iberico pork collar, beef short rib kare kare and ube leche flan. Everything was presented well, explained thoroughly and tasted so flavourful and balanced. Our favourites were the mushroom noodles and the iberico pork collar. They gave us a candle with our ube leche flan and a sample of their coconut cassave soft serve, which was a nice touch. The soft serve was unexpectedly really good! Glad we came and celebrated our anniversary here. Thank you Mineral!

I came here to celebrate my mom's birthday! We chose to get the tasting menu ($99 pp). The actual menu has a lot of the foods that were on the tasting menu, which when ordered together, would have cost way more money than the tasting menu. We started with the cold appetizers, which were the highlight of the meal. The oysters are a must get, and the raw shrimp is super fresh. Onto the warm dishes, the ensaymada (brioche-like bun with truffle butter and duck prosciutto... omg) was also a highlight. The main dish was a salmon sinigang and my mom and I both found it so disappointing. With the price of the food, you'd think they'd pick a more expensive protein... and the main dish was just really mid compared to the dishes that came before it. The dessert was amazing though. The ube leche flan was amazing and they have rotating soft serve flavours... Ours was coconut cassava and it was so yummy! I think the food itself would be a 3.75/5, but the service elevated our experience. The servers were so friendly and attentive, and we even got a freebie dish in between our meal! TLDR: I think this is a really affordable tasting menu in the city. I think Mineral is worth a try, but I don't think it's a restaurant I would find myself going back to.

Came here for a celebration early February and we wanted to try the Omakase. The service was phenomenal. Nothing could beat that. Everybody was happy knowledgeable, and very eager. The atmosphere of this place definitely a chill spot to hang out good vibes good music. The food itself was flavorful. I think it didn't hit for me being a Filipino was the play on the dishes for example, - Lumpia interpretation should have a crunch factor to it perhaps crushed up lumpia wrapper on top. I just felt it to be kind of lackluster. It would be interesting to see if a solo diner decided to participate in the Omakase if they would also get family style dishes as the main entrée. Definitely something to try at least once in life.

The food was Excellent. Despite the fact that I am a celiac. They were very accommodating and accepted a last minute seating. The chef was warm & personable. The staff was attentive &helpful despite my many food sensitivities. The interior is warm & friendly with a large wraparound bar in the centre. Looking forward to returning.

I came here with my coworkers for my birthday. We tried the 79$ tasting menu. As someone who doesnt eat at bougie restaurants often, the food here blew me away. Each dish that came out was hit after hit. The staff were super friendly, the cocktails were delicious and unique and the restaurant was so clean.

Love the vibe of the bar, my friend and I were welcomed with a smile and had the choice of the table of bar. We chose the bar seats, and they were very accommodating of my tall friend (the bar seats are fixed). We got drinks and a la carte since we weren't too hungry. The drinks were delicious, and the bartender was super nice. For food we shared the Tuna kinilaw, Pork neck, and duck confit noodles. The flavours were all fresh and unique, and I liked the tuna the best. The duck confit noodles were super umami and filling, and the pork neck was good. I do wish they gave more lettuce with the pork! The spot felt very hip, and it was fun people watching from the bar- definitely a great spot for date night!

I've bookemarked this Asian fusion restaurant on my wishlist for a while after seeing some good reviews and finally got to try their dinner. The price is quite expensive (100+ per person) with relatively smaller portion on most dishes. Service throughout the meal was attentive and most of the dishes were decent. We ordered pineapple with seaweed, burrata salad, ensaymada with duck prosciutto, mushroom noodles, pork neck, crispy broccolini, short rib and Uber leche flan to share. Among all the dishes, the stars were the sweet and sour pork neck which was super tender, the refreshing burrata salad and the duck prosciutto. The crispy broccolini was our least favorite dish. It was not crispy enough and overcooked with weird flavouring. The pineapple kombu was a creative dish with interesting combination of flavours. Mushroom noodles were good but missing a wowing factor. The flan was also yummy with very small portion. The short rib was super tender but the meat was a bit stale. Overall, most of the dishes offer good flavour. It was a unique dining experience.

Booked the tasting menu to celebrate a birthday and it was such a great experience! I find that filipino food is not commonly seen in Toronto/GTA so it was interesting to try out. Service was great from start to finish as our cutlery and plates were cleared promptly, chefs counter seating was cleaned and water filled in a timely manner. The whole vibe of Mineral was cozy but elevated. We were quite stuffed after this meal and we weren't expecting to be so. The tasting menu started off with the cold dishes, moving to warm and then a fish, rice and veg trio, before moving onto two desserts. The Chef explained everything to us as he presented it. I was surprised there was more truffle involved in the menu, so if you're not the biggest fan, then maybe skip the tasting menu. I enjoyed all the dishes and trying a new cuisine. Loved the various textured and flavours the dishes incorporated. Mineral for tasting menu was phenomenal and i'm excited to come back and try other items off their menu!

One of the better food experiences in recent memory. Great tasting menu that nods to Filipino heritage with a tasteful, modern hook. I particularly loved the salmon with sour broth that gently reminded me of polish pickle soup.

This is a fusion Filipino food is cleverly design, if you want to try this cuisine, it is the best to try it, classy when they serve & present the food, they will let you know what it was.

Our favorite restaurant we ate at during our first trip to Toronto. Everything was perfect - starting from the interior design & ambiance - then the friendly staff, and the food! This is a Filipino/Asian/Canadian fusion restaurant and I love how innovative their menu items are. I would have loved to try every item here but my bank account would not be happy. I like how they start your experience with an amuse bouche (stimulate your palate). They served a winter squash soup I think? Whatever it was it tasted amazing. I wanted to have a whole bowl of it. We ordered the Filipino bread, Inari scallops dish with garlic rice and the ube panna cotta as dessert. We noticed this place because of the ube panna cotta. And let me tell you - it was one of the BEST dessert I've had at a restaurant. Everything from presentation, texture, to taste - it was perfect! We savored every bite. The Inari scallops was also the best Inari dish I've had. It was packed with flavor. Words & pictures can't do it justice of showcasing how amazing our dining experience here was. You would just have to come and experience it yourself!

Mineral is aesthetically beautiful. My friend treated me to this wonderful dinner for my birthday. The service was top notch. From bringing over a light to help us see the menu to cleaning our plates at the precise moments without being over bearing. Every staff was attentive and personable. They did a fantastic job hiring such a genuine team who look like they all enjoy working together. The cocktails were delightful, I asked the bartender/owner to surprise me and he did a fantastic job creating an unique and delicious whiskey cocktail. Food wise, everything was good but the stand out was the pineapple kombu. Such a simple dish but executed so beautifully with a burst of flavour and textures. The pork neck was soooo tender! We didn't care too much for the wrapped cod, it was good but nothing too special. The jumbo crab was well prepared but in my opinion it was too pricey, $36 for 2 legs. The mushroom noodles were quite rich and decadent, wasn't as inventive as I had hoped for. I found the prices were quite high but the service and ambiance made up for it! The staff surprised us with a ube flan on the house for my birthday, which was very kind and thoughtful. Overall it was an enjoyable experience. Can't wait to come back to try the scallop inari pockets, they smelled tantalizing! Food: 4 stars Service: 5 Ambiance: 5

The signature Singapore Style Slaw sets the tone - a performance of 24 ingredients harmonizing into a single, refreshing harmony. Crisp cucumber, microgreens, bell peppers, zucchini, carrots, radish and delicate flower petals provide brightness, while fried taro strips, lotus root chips, roasted peanuts, and fried onions offer aromatic crunch. All is bound by a slated plum dressing that strikes an appetizing equilibrium of tang, sweet, and umami - a dish that's lively, complex, and utterly addictive. The Spring Rolls are a bold punch combining a classic into a textural tour de force. AAA Angus beef, soft and juicy, carries a rich, savory aroma, complemented by aged cheddar and the gentle heat of chipotle mayo. Wrapped in crisp, paper-thin layers of spring roll pastry and nestled in butter lettuce, each bite contrasts crunch with tender interior. The bacon carries a restrained salinity and distinct sweetness, coupled with tangy pickled onions and fried onions to elevate the savory backbone into something layered, precise, and indulgent. Flowing out where sea and spice converge in their Tuna Tartare, where freshly caught tuna nearly melts on the tongue, brightened by cornichons and a sriracha-inspired chili sauce that layers subtle heat and a touch of acidity. Uni adds a creamy, oceanic richness, while caviar pops with salty umami. Avocado introduces creamy, nutty undertones; nori deepens the aroma, and served with fried lotus and taro chips that have utterly hooked me. The steamed rice rolls demonstrate finesse in both technique and balance. The silky rice noodle encases a tender fish paste and scallion filling, crowned with a gently cooked shrimp that carries a vibrant crustacean aroma. Layers of scallion pesto, zucchini, microgreens, and sliced chili peppers enhance complexity, while a soy-based broth infused with subtly sweet goji berries provides a comforting, umami-rich bath for each bite. From the ocean to your plate, this is a testament to Black Cod's superior saliva-soliciting sensation. Flaky cod is seared to a delicate crisp, carrying a natural sweetness amplified by white miso and a hint of mustard tang. Cantonese preserved vegetables add earthy umami and gentle sweetness, while a turnip and winter squash cake offers a soft, subtly gooey texture reminiscent of dim sum. For the finishing touch, fried noodle fish and pickled baby beet are decorated with crunchy and acidic counterpoints Then, the Braised Beef is the epitome of indulgent comfort. Beef cheek is braised to perfect tenderness, melting on the tongue without dryness or resistance. A subtle potato and leek puree, enriched with parsnips' gentle sweetness and butter, cradles the jus infused with red wine, creating a fragrant, umami-laden pool. Grilled maitake mushrooms add lightly charred crispness, and a drizzle of creamy, tangy sour cream with a whisper of horseradish lifts the richness, ensuring every bite is balanced yet luxurious. Finally, dessert at Lee is the happy ending we all deserve, and continues this trend of fulfillment and precision. The Tong Yuan is a transcendent combination of warm chocolate nougat, sesame creme anglaise, tart blueberry preserve, and tangy passionfruit gastrique, finished with roasted hazelnuts - the interplay of sweet, tart, and nutty is truly hypnotic. The panipuri with strawberry creme brulee is lighter, playful and refreshingly sweet, while the Chocolate Peanut Butter Bar delivers refined decadence with layered textures, rich cocoa aroma, and a delicate hint of salt. The Apple & Apricot Strudel closes with airy crispness, tart-sweet fruitiness, and subtle cinnamon notes, offering a delicate punctuation to a meal that expertly balances complexity, refinement, and indulgence.

With prices of an upscale dining restaurant, the service didn't feel like it matched up; it was fairly mediocre. Food was a bit of a hit or miss for us too.. Shrimp toast: fun, good texture, could taste the oiliness stronger than I expected. Paired well with the emulsion. Fun guo: super tasty, quite greasy though. I typically don't order fun guo but the texture was a delight to eat. Pork & crab siu mai: this felt like it lacked identity, not really sure I saw the vision. It just felt like curry on a siu mai lol Iberico cha siu: beautiful cut, perfectly tender, good savouriness, no complaints. R&D fried rice: my biggest letdown. Maybe my expectations were set to high. For a house special, I would expect a solid crowd-pleaser. Having each bite feeling mostly like 'crunch' is not what I think of as fried rice nor a favourite for most people. My ideal fried rice focuses on the grains of rice, with substantial bite and flavour in each spoonful. The flavour was most definitely there, don't get me wrong but it was extremely hard to eat more than a bowl. The redeeming qualities were in the flavour and cute little mushroom garden concept. If they had maybe 2x the amount of rice for the ratio of toppings and crunch, I would say this is a delicious and near perfect fried rice. Not bad, but a hefty price tag for a meal that I had really high hopes for.
