Ming's delivered a solid, crave-worthy spread across the board, but a couple dishes really stood out. The crab cheese wontons were exceptional--perfectly crisp with a creamy, well-balanced filling (not overly sweet like some can be). The General Tso's chicken hit that ideal sweet-heat balance, with a crisp that actually held up. Tried Ming's Cafe for the first time and it was pretty good overall! I got the Sesame Balls which were fried mochi with sesame seeds on the outside and red bean paste inside of the mochi. The red bean filling was soooo good and flavorful, but the texture wasn't really my favorite since the mochi was fried and a bit oily. Also, I got the Veggie Lo Mein and it was delicious -- definitely worth ordering. Overall its a nice spot and I would come back to try more things! read more

[[HIGHLIGHT]]It's a small place on the inside - perhaps 3-4 tables to eat in.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I placed an order to go: Hot n' Soup Soup (small); an order of Vegetable Rolls (with a side of House Chinese Mustard); and a Dinner order of Kung Pao Chicken (extra spicy). I wanted a large option for the Hot n' Sour soup - but the small size is the only size option for now. The soup was fine - the run-of-the-mill Hot n' Sour soup that a lot of American-ized Chinese Restaurants offer. The Vegetable Rolls were crisp and delicious - but on the greasy side. The House Chinese Mustard was good. The Kung Pao Chicken is served with a lot of celery. I could not detect any heat - even though I specified extra spicy. I would have like to see some broccoli, onions, scallions in the dish. There was also a good bit of oily residue in the bottom of the to-go container. The lady taking my order was very nice. Had the Mongolian beef and Singapore rice noodles. These two dishes are $4-5 more than two other Chinese restaurant in Gainesville and Warrenton. Though the Mongolian beef was tender with good flavor, it was lacking in quantity for the higher price charged. Singapore noodles had a lot of red bell pepper, that changed the taste, didn't care for it. I've eaten the dish at a dozen Chinese restaurants, never had the bell pepper added to the noodles...tried it, not returning, it's not worth it. read more

Mings hasn't been here for a full week and has been THE best Chinese (flavor and portion wise) restaurant in the Bristow area. I have tried all of the Chinese spots around here, and Mings so far has been nothing but great and gives the community another choice for food. My family tried the Tso chicken, pepper steak, orange chicken. I've tried the crispy beef, shrimp fried rice, vegetable spring roll, egg drop, and hot and sour soup. They all were very flavorful, and the portions are plenty for sharing. The only gripe I have about this place is that the spring roll was slightly greasy. I'm not sure if it had ginger in it, but the taste was too strong to enjoy. The customer service provided has been great so far. First of all, this review is taking into account my normal Chinese place which is also OK. We ordered Szechuan Green beans. Not hot or spicy, but a lot, sort of soggy not crispy beans. 2nd up-Crispy Shredded Beef. Not crispy, and not spicy as indicated with the hot pepper symbol; more sweet. It wasn't crispy because it was swimming in a sea of juices from the overwhelming volume of vegetables. My husband hates veggies so this wasn't a good choice for him. Finally. #3 was the Chicken Fried Rice. I thought it was good and there was a lot of chicken compared to other places. For these 3 items and tax (plus $2 delivery tip) it came to $51. It's at least 15% more than my go to off of Heathcote. We might try something else but besides the CFR I wouldn't re-order any of the other items. Pretty good Chinese food. Ordered pan fried dumplings and General Tso's shrimp. No vegetables in the dish. Just shrimp with the sauce. Shouldn't this one at least have green onions?? Asked the owner as to why no vegetables. He stated that they can fit more meat in the takeout box (like large pieces of shrimp) rather than cram in vegetables on top. Some meat entrees have vegetables and others such as General Tso's do not here. Be forewarned! :) Otherwise, everything tasted good. Fast and friendly service! read more

On a recent trip to Bristow to visit a friend, we dined at Ming's Chinese Restaurant while heading back to NYC. I ordered the Chicken with Broccoli, and it was great. The white meat chicken was tender and flavorful, unlike over-marinated or overcooked versions I've had elsewhere. My wife went for the General Tso's Chicken, and it came out fresh from the kitchen, piping hot and juicy on the inside. The service was friendly.
