I would say this place is pretty good. Not amazing, but great in all aspects. I ordered a take-out, for the first time trying this place. I got the chicken with broccoli and some shrimp fried rice. Both large, the total came out to $26. The Shrimp Fried Rice was pretty good - not amazing. It seemed like it was a bit under-cooked, or maybe left out too long (?) because the rice had a crunchy texture to it, in the middle. The Chicken with Broccoli was great. It has a very strong pronounced front flavor, similar to that which you get when you add A1 or Teriyaki sauce to something. You can tell there's an extreme frontal flavor, not a blended smooth flavor. The meat was nice and tender, and the broccoli was cooked perfectly. Not too mushy and not stiff. It was great, and I'd give it a 8/10. There was a nice even balance of meat to vegetables. There were no condiments in the bag, or plastic-ware. The staff were very helpful, happy, and polite. All things considered, I still prefer my go-to spot at China Star, but since they are closed on Mondays, I will keep this place in mind for future visits, because the food was decent and the people were kind. read more

It's but a small amount, but I ordered online and it said free egg roll if spending $30+ and it would be applied at checkout. It wasn't applied. I went to pick up the order. When I asked the restaurant, they told me to show them. I showed them and in the end told me that they don't know why it was on the site. They told me to call Door Dash. That isn't my job. They have the partnership with them, not me. I dislike shady business practices. Why ask me to prove it, if in the end it wouldn't be honored? Why not check your site to be sure? UPDATE: Although the employee told me her boss said there was no such promotion, Panda Cafe did refund the egg roll. I appreciate it. read more

If I could give them less than one star, I would. I ordered delivery on Christmas Eve and waited 2 hours without any communication about my order. I called the restaurant 10 times with no answer. My husband and I drove to their restaurant and finally someone answered the phone just to tell me that because they were very busy, they cut their phone lines. Ordered and waited over an hour and a half and called the restaurant. The person that answered said that they were backed up and my order was out for delivery. Still waiting a half hour later and called again and a different person answered and claimed they had not received the order. Told them to cancel and I would never be ordering from them again. They did call back just as I was typing this and said they had found my order, but at this point I am not waiting any longer. Very delicious! Our personal favorites are the hot and crispy chicken, the sautéed string beans, and the vegetable lo mein. This place is pretty gross. The hot crispy beef looks like something out of a Frankenstein movie. There was no celery. Carrot strings appeared to be added last minute. Sesame chicken was bland and gloopy. Just not appetizing at all. Started to feel sick a few minutes after consuming. Fried rice is pretty much non-existent these days. Too much work. Not recommended. I recommend making the drive into Fairfax for better Chinese food. Sadly, there isn't any in Manassas. Food was nicely packaged and had great ambiance, if I were living in a paper bag. read more

Last three times we've gone the food quality has been off and seems to be a reheated order. No freshness or general good flavor. The best item we've had was the salt and pepper shrimp. It's unfortunate that even something that is a cultural area of expertise such as rice and fried rice were horrible. Using par-broiled rice is a no-no. I can live with a subpar Americanized Chinese food dish but to have this bad was extremely disrespectful. read more

This a great place to get lunch for take away. I got Moo Goo Gai Pan with fried rice and an egg roll lunch menu. It is made fresh and everything was hot. I was happy with all items I got. The cashier was friendly and I got my meal in less than 10 minutes. There was baby corn in the Moo Goo Gai Pan which should not be there. I will ask for that to be removed last time. The shrimp were disgusting and seemed to have corn starch coating which tasted like an uncooked goo or paste. Pass. Uber eats wouldn't refund my money. We will not be going back. read more

Because of proximity to my home I started ordering here pretty regularly. I dig their egg rolls, vegetable soup, wonton soup, and sautéed veggies. They bring your order out to your car so you don't need to go inside. When you arrive call the restaurant and let them know you've arrived. read more

This Chinese restaurant has been my go to for around 4 or 5 years now, their dumplings and fried rice are my go to's, but everything I've tried there hasn't failed my tastebuds either. Their personal delivery through their website can only go so far but whenever I'm able to get it it's amazing, don't know why anyone would come to a restaurant page to complain about an Uber eats or DoorDash order being cold, not the restaurants fault your dasher wanted to pick up a different order somewhere else at the same time too. read more

I usually like to order the Triple Delight because I think it's an dish that Chinese restaurants 'should' do well. I take it is as a barometer as to how they might prepare other dishes. I was a bit disappointed in this 1st effort. I ordered the 'dinner combo' which includes the pork fried rice and an egg roll. It was more like rice and more rice and them a little delight. The flavor and freshness was good but it would have been nice to have more delight. I'll give them another try because the young man that waited on my was nice and helpful with my call in order. He said that dinner combo was $10.95 but if I want to order just the dinner portion of triple delight alone it would be $14.00 and then an additional dollar for the rice. read more

I consistently pick up from panda cafe 4 times out of the week, every week. I know everyone there, the younger staff is disrespectful AF. I couldn't believe I got faces at my back every time I turned around. My food was ready for 15 minutes, out of the 30 I was standing in store. Multiple people coming in to order food being served before me. I didn't receive my food until I asked for a refund, upon request she immediately went to the back and grabbed my room temp food. I ONLY have problems with panda cafe whenever she takes my order, or whenever the younger Asian female w glasses is there. Stopped going as often because she works often. This little gem is tucked away but don't give up. I've never ordered anything more than once because I want to try it all. The wonton soup is so unexpected. The wontons are huge and chock filled with the best meat and spices. The dining area is clean and server is so pleasant. Take out is always ready when I get there. Oh, and the portions a huge. I've lived in the area and eaten here a few times. It was never bad, but didn't stand out as an exceptional place. On August 3rd I ordered dinner- sweet and sour chicken combo. It was one of the very best meals I have ever had at a Chinese restaurant. Everything was hot, tasted fresh, flavorful, and crispy. The sweet and sour sauce was not the traditional neon red sticky goop- it was a darker, more natural color and was much thinner and more mild which complimented the texture and the flavor of the fried chicken. This meal made every other place look bad! I just hope the quality of the food stays as consistent as it was- it's tough to order from a place that's a hit or miss on quality. I came during Christmas night. It was extremely busy and it seemed like one their online machines had broken down. Although my order took a very long time, the food was hot and perfect when it was ready, very flavorful and everything was cooked nice and crispy. I noticed there were so many complaints from the customers about the food taking a long time but it should be expected because it's Christmas night and this was the only place open for business. despite all that the three ladies there handled the chaos very well. Best service, the the two younger staff that were working were trying their best with the wave of customers coming in. I came in on Christmas and it was really busy. I could see that they were extremely stressed and were trying to answer the customer complaints because of the time. Similarly the hunan chicken had a pepper next to it on the menu but had very little spice, but was redeemed by the number of fresh veggies. The squash in it was amazing! The noodles were not greasy, had good flavor and came with a good amount of chicken, beef and shrimp. The lack of grease and oil was very refreshing and will definitely have us ordering again! The "steak" was not tender, it was not crispy, and it was sickenly sweet in a thick sauce. I tasted it, and the husband had a small portion and we threw most of it out. My Chicken Hunan was really good with big pieces of broccoli. The chicken fried rice was delicious. I asked the lady if the Hunan or the Szechuan was hotter, she couldn't answer the question. I like hot spicy Chinese food. I hate sweet Chinese food. This will be my fourth Chinese restaurant that continues to disappoint. Can someone please tell me where there is a good one? I might just have to go to Panda Express!
