Going with "average" lunch here today. While we've been here a number of times, it's been nearly a year since the last visit. Some things stood out as different today: - It was desolate on a Thursday at noon, just 2 couples eating - The food is different - see below The good? Service was fast. There were 4 male workers hanging out, ready to serve us. So that was nice. Also, the app and meal came out fast. Today, two of us shared: - Fresh Spring Roll with Shrimp - Pad Key Mao with Beef There were two shrimp rolls in the order. Both were very fat - stuffed full of lettuce and cabbage mostly. Each roll had 1/2 a shrimp in it. For long rolls, I'm accustomed to two 1/2 shrimps in them. Being so fat, they were harder to eat as they sort of fell apart from the bulk of green in it. As we split our meal, they served each of the two rolls on their own plates, each with a dish of peanut sauce. So that was nice. The Pad Key Mao (Drunken Noodle) was meh. I'd rate it a 2.5 on its own. The presentation was nice but there just wasn't much flavor and the beef wasn't thin strips of sirloin. I think we'll pause Spice for a bit. read more

Haven't had Thai food in a while and this place is right across the street from me so decided to give it a try. Wasn't super hungry so just got the basil fried rice to-go with chicken. It was spicy. It was flavorful. It was absolutely delicious. There was a good amount of chicken to rice ratio. Easily devoured the whole thing in a few minutes. Their food is hit and miss unfortunately. We cant tell if we should go with level 2 or 3 on any day as sometimes 2 has zero flavor and 3 is extremely spicy. No in between. I love spice. I still think it's way worth the money more than Ko Thai down the street, service is always great. They are quick with refilling water and I know they are busy constantly for lunch with all of the hospitals around. the ambience is simple. It's just tables and chairs, but the food and service is always very fast even ordering online. It's usually about 35 minutes from order to pick up. I've had the opportunity to try Spice twice, first was a to-go order and the second was dine-in. The restaurant was relatively busy for an early Friday evening. They have an attached free parking lot, which was super convenient. The staff were friendly and attentive and our food came out quickly. As for food, I've tried their drunken noodles, their tom kha kai soup and an egg roll. Honestly, the drunken noodles left much to be desired. The egg roll is ok, but also could be better. As for the soup, it was so good! I only ordered a bowl, but I would definitely go back and order a hot pot in the coming winter months. Came here to try a new Thai place with my girlfriend. It was amazing, I had a soup (S-2, I forget the exact name) and it was so fragrant. Also had the drunken noodles with chicken at a spice level of 4 and it was the best drunken noodles I've ever had. So I asked to have it removed from the ticket as I didn't want to spend the evening waiting for that. They essentially refused to remove it, insisting it was being prepared by the cook. Kadience was our server for our "business dinner" last Tuesday. I love this place and discovered it when I lived locally a few years back. It's a quaint little restaurant that's bright and airy for lunch and more cozy for dinner. My go-to dishes are fresh Spring Rolls and the Yellow Curry with brown rice (4 star heat level). Finally tried SPICE last week after passing it so many times. A simple restaurant with about the same as any American Fusion Chinese/Thai food. Nice outting for groups/solo/dates For me the more portions would be nice but we know how that'll be. All staff was very attendative to all tables even if it wasnt their table so thats great to know. I love Thai food and I give this place a very solid 4 stars, in fact this is where I wish Yelp had half stars because Spice is worthy of 4.5 stars. The restaurant itself isn't very large inside so during the winter they can't serve a ton of people. They've got a lot of table space outside so when the weather is nice, they can handle a larger crowd. We went in January, so outside seating wasn't open and every table inside was full. The staff does a good job of keeping things moving quickly and providing good service, so we didn't have to wait very long. I started off with the fried pot stickers which were phenomenal. I highly recommend them, cooked to perfection with a crisp but not overly crunchy outside. As for my entree, I tend to order drunken noodles at most Thai restaurants I visit and this particular instance was no exception. I had been warned ahead of time that Spice runs a little hot on their scale, so I ordered a spice level 2 and it was perfect for me. Typically I order a 3, but at Spice, 2 was the right call. The noodles were cooked perfectly and were accompanied with fresh veggies and beef. Food was fantastic!
