I would say we're very happy that they open a branch here in Naperville. This saves us a lot of driving time to Chinatown if we crave for dimsum or duck. I don't know how many times we have been here, they are conveniently located near Ogden and going to I-88. The restaurant is huge, we've had family gatherings here a couple of times. Service is also good, I feel it has improved since they have opened many moons ago. We always order, siomai, chicken feet, Yang chow fried rice and duck. read more

I LOVE Minghin, I normally go to the Chinatown location, but so glad there was one in Naperville. We got take -out through the Yelp link through Grubhub, and so glad that we did... The food was still warm and delicious when we took to our hotel 10 min away. They don't use the cheapo styrofoam boxes, so everything was still insulated and warm. Everything was sooo good. It was salty and gooey and with umami flavor and just hit the spot. I am glad I ordered extra hoisin sauce cuz, I use a lot of sauce... and with the 3 extra containers we had just enough. I enjoyed my experience at this location. I've tried other locations, but this one in particular was above average. Most food was ordered on a tablet but the dim sum was ordered on a paper menu where you would mark down the food items. Everything came out hot and the food tasted great. If you're looking for authentic Chinese food in the Naperville area, then Minghin is gonna be your go to choice. I'm surprised that there isn't any competition for them as other places go for Americanized Chinese food, but that's a story for a different day. This place has dim sum, some good lunch and dinner options, and even the dessert offerings nailed down. Almost everything on the menu should be good based on what you're looking for. I tend to go more for noodle dishes, but to each their own. Minghin has a nice, open space with lots of seating and tables. Service is EXTREMELY attentive and well above par. You get what you pay for. There's lots of parking in the lot, and Minghin is right off the highway so it's easy to get to and from. read more

We've been to dim sum restaurants in the past but this is the first time we ever visited MingHin. Really love the vibe of the restaurant. We were seated right away. Service was pretty good. Our waters were constantly refilled. And right after ordering, the dishes came out pretty quickly so we didn't really wait too long. In terms of the food, it was definitely much better than the dim sum place we went to in Chinatown. There were some dishes we didn't like as much but it was more so just preferences rather than the food being bad. My favorite was the roast duck. It had such rich flavor, juicy and a good portion. There was one dish we ordered that didn't come out but we didn't pay for it anyways so no complaints on that. Plus I was so full already. That was the only downside of the experience. If you've never had dim sum, I recommend this restaurant and assuming all the food are consistent, recommend checking out this chain. read more

I have been to Ming Hin many times over the past few years and this is the worst I have ever seen it. there were paper signs everywhere, cleaning supplies everywhere, stacked unused chairs in the corner. The ambiance is not the same and does not live up the michelin bib designation they received a few years ago. What I truly enjoyed about this place is that their flavor is slightly unique compared to other chinese restaurants that have like a standard, similar flavors to every chinese dish they serve! I will preface this review by indicating that we came on Christmas Eve. We knew it would be busy, we waited 40min for a table; once seated we placed our order quickly as we knew exactly what we wanted to eat. This is where the experience turned sour. We ordered 2 dim sum dishes and waited 15 minutes for them to be delivered. Our entrees came 45 minutes after we placed the order and the chicken was barely warm as if it had been sitting out for some time, our noodles cane 10 minutes after the chicken and for over 15 dollars, the plate was basically half filled. In all this time there were 3 tables nearby who had all been sat after us and all received and eaten their meals and we still had outstanding food waiting to be delivered! We do not recommend coming here during any typically busy time. Unfortunately, they cannot handle the rush. We are sad because this was our favorite restaurant since moving to Illinois. My wife and I have been here several times already. It's become one of our favorite spots for Chinese cuisine. I won't say food because it's not a typical take out spot. It is a very trendy spot. My wife and I have come to love their dumplings. They're amazing! They have a variety as well. The rest of the food is great also. They have a large variety of items on their menu. My wife and I ordered crab rangoons, Shrimp dumplings, beef on a stick, fried vegetable pork buns and fried rice as sides. Our main meals were Beef in bean and garlic sauce and General Tso's chicken. We also ordered a beef with pea-pod for take out. The staff is always exhibiting great customer service! This time around I met Thomas. He made his way to our table to make sure we were being taken care of. He asked if we spoke Spanish. He began talking to us in Spanish throughout our time there. I was very impressed with his Spanish. It made our time there a bit more special and he made his own way of connecting with us as his customers. He made his rounds making sure customers were well taken care of. I eventually asked him if he was the owner, he said no. I asked him if he was the manager, he said no. He then said he was a bus boy. I think he was pulling my leg. Either way, Thomas was great and he did the same for everyone! He knows the value of good customer service! I initially was going to rate it a 4 star but Thomas' personable approach put Minghin Cuisine at a 5 star! You must check this place out. There's Chinese food anywhere. Simply the best Dim Sum out in the burbs. The worst thing here is that we cannot eat their food fresh from the stove and enjoy the food in a round table with family and friends with the wonderful aroma and vibrant chatters filling the dining room! Minghin is a very reliable Chinese restaurant, and I have been to several of their locations. I think the best one overall is the Chinatown location. Their food is always good, but at some locations they seem to skimp a bit on portion sizes compared to price. I have eaten at this location several times and have never been disappointed in terms of quality and taste. But I have been annoyed from time to time, when an entree looks rather small. Check out my picture of a beef noodle. Then other times they seem right on target; see the picture of the fried green beans dish. They have very good service. They are always very helpful and attentive. I appreciate ordering from a tablet. It would be great if you could specify which dishes you would like given priority though. There is always a lot of hype surrounding Minghin (probably because there aren't many good Chinese restaurants in the Naperville area), but honestly I think the hype is overrated. The dim sum is mediocre at best (I have found it to be wildly inconsistent - sometimes the dim sum comes out piping hot or is super salty, and sometimes it's only slightly warm and not salty at all...), and the prices that the restaurant has now increased the dim sum options to doesn't justify the just "ok" tasting dishes here. read more

MingHin Cuisine is my go to takeout spot when we crave Chinese food. One thing that I love about this place is how consistent they are. Even with the takeout my food is always hot, fresh, packaged well and delicious. Every single time. I really appreciate the consistency and attention to detail. This past weekend I finally had a chance to dine in person. What a fun place! The service was efficient, I didn't think I would ever say that, but maybe too efficient! Dishes were brought out with the lighting speed which was nice but also cut our dinner really short. Service was nice as well, even though we had to flag our server down a couple of times. Now the food, my all time favorites are egg rolls, cucumber salad, Chinese broccoli with oyster sauce, siu mai, shrimp dumplings, baked bbq pork buns, and baked creamy egg yolk buns.
