Definitely probably the best chicken kabob I've had... since the usual chicken ones... are pretty meh.. and dried out... but this one is pretty good and juicy. Hard to believe it's chicken actually! The mini beef kabob is also pretty tasty and onion-y... but I like onions... so I was happy. The rice is the only thing that's a little off about this place. Loved it all. The food, the owners, the tiny dining room with all of four tables. We went just an hour before close on a Sunday, so I think we were lucky to get a seat right away. I'm Greek and the food here reminds me of a really good Greek taverna - no frills, just really good food and excellent grilled meat. We got the chicken plate with hummus and a salad. OH. MY. GOD. This place is a little bit of gourmet, right in a ten-person little stand. It's hard to call it a restaurant, when you have three tables, and about four feet until you're already in the kitchen. It's small. Like, cramped in a way that makes a hallway look like the Grand Canal. It's really a hole-in-the-wall, you can skip it if you didn't look for it, or stumble upon it. But, I'd like to think that's because they need the space to make such wonderful food. Wonderful, amazing, and delicious food. And interesting drink, even if it was a simple soda. I had a weird Tarragon soda, while my girlfriend had Pear. It was called Limonad on the menu. Mine had a funky green color, like food dye. And smelled and sorta-tasted like black licorice, but many times sweeter. Then the "appetizer" arrived, pita bread and hummus. Goodness gracious, the hummus makes the whole meal. It was amazing on the pita, but it was epic on the rice. So, we had the combination plate. So, basically we had chicken, beef, and ground beef (lula) kebab. This, of course, surrounded rice, with onions and some green stuff on the meat. There was the tomato and the pepper as well. Everything was great. I particularly enjoyed the ground beef, it was flavourful. And the chicken was super tender. The beef was also amazing. Me and the significant couldn't even finish one plate, and it was CHEAP at $20 for the both of us, including tip. The mom-n'-pop are inviting, though they were a bit busier when we were there, because I guess catering is a common occasion there. But, that didn't stop the man from talking with us and (properly) pointing out that filipinos (like me!) love Armenian food! Go here! It's tiny and intimate, and the husband and wife team that own this spot have been making kabobs for Glendale for 17 1/2 years! The food is fantastic and freshly made. ohhhhh my goddd im literally voice texting this sitting in my car outside of the restaurant itself and I just needed to write this real quick that food was so insanely good I live in the bay area and I would drive six hours every day to get this food if I could. I got the combo plate, and then the eggplant caviar and the beef plate and the pear soda that was so good oh my god. all of them were amazing. the servings were so large I was thrown off initially by how expensive the plates were but the servings were large could easily feed two to three people per serving and the guy who was there was very nice. We were gonna grab and go, but the owner was insistent that we sit down, relax, and even offered a few mini kabob sandwiches as we waited for our order. There are probably no more than 5 seats in this hole-in-the-wall joint, but we got there at an opportune time, I suppose. The food was delicious. Fresh, well-prepared beef kabobs. The guy swore by his chicken and nearly forced it down our throats, but none of us were in the mood, so we stuck to our guns; our beef-loving guns. I love this place! It's a tiny hole in the wall mom and pop shop. There are 3 small tables where you can sit and eat. The chicken kabob plate is one of my favorite dishes here. Their white chicken meat is tender. The plate comes with lavash, rice, hummus, grilled tomatoes and peppers and garlic spread. We always order their eggplant caviar. It's super delicious! Their chicken luheh and beef are good and flavorful. Pretty much anything you order here is good. They also have Pear soda there. It's imported from Armenia. It's good if you like carbonated drinks.Their prices are reasonable. $12-$15 a plate. The owner recommended us to try their combo plate which includes their chicken, ground pork and pork. We will definitely try that next time. I would recommend ordering it to go. It's best to call and place your order 30 mins prior to pick up. It takes them awhile for them to prepare the food. This place is so small. Seriously, I don't think a sofa would fit in there. I walked in and thought, "where's the rest of it?" If it wasn't for the amazing yelp reviews, I would have never even considered walking in. The food was love at first bite. I encountered the best hummus I've ever had. The kabobs were juicy and tender, with a large portion of basati rice. Plus, a fresh-tasting salad; all for under $10. I definitely see myself eating here again in the future. I learned a lesson about relationships because of "Mini Kabobs". This is THE BEST place to get your kabobs! Yes, it is a small place, but it makes you feel like you're eating at a friend's house! Ths is one of our favorite restaurants in Glendale, there are so many reasons why Mini Kabob is amazing. Obviously the food is delicious, they have ruined me for all other kabob places. I love the chicken luleh and the falafel, but everything is good (And I have tried just about all the menu items). Their garlic sauce is fantastic, you will taste garlic for two days, in the best possible way. So the best way to experience mini kabob is to eat there. It is a tiny place, but there is usually seating when we go. The family that owns and operates the restaurant will talk to you and basically make you feel like you are visiting their home. They are the best people, and i recommend eating there if there is space. For my daughter's birthday I had them cater her party. I thought it was reasonably priced for the amount of food we got. All our guests raved about the food and said it was pretty much the best part of the party! I seriously don't know how anyone could rate Mini Kabob less than 5 stars. However, I've been raving to anyone who will listen to me about how I fell in love with Mini Kabob upon my first taste of their homemade hummus. In the middle of our meal, the owner came to us with a couple of fried potatoes and joked that he had stolen some it from the other customers for us. And when I asked for a box to take my leftovers home, I was pleasantly surprised at finding that my to-go box was filled with a new batch of rice. How often do you see that? Now to the few things that I always worry about when trying a new place: Parking - street parking only. Be ready to look around the residential area for a little before finding semi-adequate parking. Still, you won't regret it! Price - prepare to spend anywhere from $9-20 for a full meal (depending on what you order--the lamb is around $20). Amazing! I happended to find out about this place from other Yelp reviews. I wished this place was closer to my house. As other reviews noted, this place is SMALL (only 3 small tables), but with absolute personal service! You feel like you are sitting in someone's kitchen. Both the owners and the server treated me like family and were nothing but friendly - especially since Armenian food was a bit foreign to me. I ordered the chicken breast with rice and hummus - the chicken was so moist and flavorable and the accompanying garlic sauce was out of this world. The hummus with the bread was delicious as well. Along with a bottle of water, the total bill was only $11 - what a deal - especially since I had left over for lunch the next day. I ordered the tasty delights on the Yelp app and paid, arrived twenty minutes before because I was leaving the mall when I placed it. I saw the small location and thought "I hope this isn't overrated but my brother said it is bomb so it can't be" played a few Candy Crush Soda levels and left my ac-cool car and trudged across the street in the sweltering heat.
