I love HomeGoods and shop at many of their locations often. I was at H-mart across the street and was delighted to see a HomeGoods across the street. I decided to go in but quickly regretted it. One of the first problems with this location is that they are overrun with inventory. This isn't a large store, so I don't know why they have so much stuff. There isn't enough space in the store to display it all in a safe and neat manner. I used to work retail many moons ago, so seeing unpacked boxes hanging out on the floor, as well as a wall of unpacked cardboard boxes in the lighting section, tells me that their back storage area must also be full. There were also about 5-6 tables outside of the store with tons of stuff on them, all clearance that they were trying to get rid of. The store looks sloppy and unprofessional. It's like the manager and the staff just to give a damn. The shelves are also a mess and the merchandise was sloppily hanging on the shelves. There was one aisle that had pillows on the floor. There were so many that they were blocking the way. You couldn't get through without stepping on them or tripping. Are they trying to get sued??? Honestly, there was just shit everywhere in and out of boxes. Even if this was just a bad and busy day, I will never come back. The location in Queen Anne on Armory is much nicer and better run. If you want a nice shopping experience where you aren't at risk of injury due to store items on the floor, don't shop here.

E.A. said it could not be repaired (WHAT?) and the fabric was discontinued. How can a $3,000 loveseat spring not be repaired? And what kind of crappy quality are they selling for an upscale price? I am disgusted by Ethan Allen. They refused to consider or recommend any local business to repair the springs. Their quality has greatly diminished, and the customer service is nil. To top it off, they look like they are going out of business. There are fewer furniture pieces to consider, and they were closed for lunch when I tried to visit the store. Not good. I politely said, "Excuse me, ma'am, could I ask for help with something?" Before I could even finish my question, she completely ignored me. She didn't look at me, turn toward me, or acknowledge that I was speaking to her. After waiting a few seconds, I felt awkward and said, "Oh, never mind," and started to walk away. That's when she responded with, "I'm waiting," in a tone that came across as rude and impatient. I then asked whether they had a specific item in stock. She told me no and said she had supposedly placed an order that morning and was waiting for it to arrive, but it never came. The explanation was unclear and not very helpful. What made the experience worse was the overall atmosphere. Several employees seemed unfriendly, and I felt like I was being looked at rudely while shopping. Additionally, there appeared to be numerous employees standing around the checkout area, yet very few were actively helping customers or processing purchases, which was frustrating to see. Customer service can make a huge difference in a shopping experience, and unfortunately, this visit left me feeling unwelcome and dismissed. Just to be kind, i got my $5 worth of stickers and wil be spending $50+ at michael's instead.

Or you can order it and pick it up. But having to find an employee to get the unlock the boxes and pay for all the boxes just raise the prices on items that are needed because people were stealing. So I feel like this hurts the consumer that actually pays for their items. I don't know who sold them these locked closets, but it was a bad idea. Also, there's too much selection need to simplify. The selection is overwhelming. Stores have too many items overstimulating. So people are running around with earphones on because they're too stimulated. Background music needs to go back to piano music because the store has too much racket going on.
