A new location in Oakbrook. My first hearing about Minnie Bird's Chicken Franchise. I stopped in after my retail therapy for a bite to eat. This place was packed with people. You had to place your order on the screen monitor. I don't like how so many places especially restaurant chains are making you place your order on a monitor. I missed those times where you interact with a real person and not a computer screen. FYI, its very nosey with lots of screaming kids and loud talking. I ordered the tender meal combo, 3 chicken tenders, crinkled fries, small container of cole slaw, Texas toast and fountain drink. There was one worker who was walking around making sure every table was cleaned. I liked how he was attentive and making sure the tables were cleaned and wiped down. Kudos to that your man. The customer service is the reason for the 3 star review. The workers were working hard getting out orders, polite and attentive. I wasn't impressed with the food. My fries and chicken tenders were salty and the cole slaw was dry. My complimentary twirl ice cream tasted like a frozen root beer. I'm glad that I experience Minnie Bird. My first and last visit.

After a long morning of shopping and running errands in the west suburbs, the family wanted to visit @eatminniebird. It was our first time and we were a little overwhelmed by the drink / dirty soda options. We chose a few sprite based dirty sodas and ordered a mix of chicken tenders, chicken sandwhiches, fries and cheese curds. It was pretty busy still being closer to 2 on a weekend - but our food came out pretty fast. My kids were starving so unfortunately the camera didn't get to eat first when the food arrived. The kids loved their tenders and fries with the seasonal sauce: everything but the bagel. My husband and I both opted to make our sandwhiches spicy and paired with the sauces - they were delicious. The sandwhiches are on the larger end and I managed to eat 75% before passing it into hubby so I could save room for the soft serve. Speaking of the soft serve - the flavor of the month was salted caramel. I opted for a swirl with vanilla and everyone else had it straight salted caramel. We all liked it even though it was more on the icier side as opposed to creamy. All in all we liked Minnie Bird, but wouldn't go out of our way to get it in the burbs as we live in the city.

Def recommend no spice if you aren't good with it because their spice level starts high! Sauce station is great with something for everyone. I got the chicken sandwich and it was huge with the flavor to match! Chicken is probably my favorite fried chicken in the area. And enjoy the complimentary ice cream at the end. Def one of my favorite treat meals.

Only 1 light away from the busy mall area, we came in on a whim and loved it! Great hot chicken, drinks, sides and free soft ice crème! Really liked the vibe, decor, music and relaxed atmosphere. Staff were very helpful to assist with substitutions and explain the concept. Lots of options for sauces on the side. I had The Tex dirty soda with Pibb, vanilla and coconut - very yummy! Cole self serve soda machine and lemonade options. Small food menu but all together hits the spot on value and options!

Saw that this place and opened not too long ago and wanted to check it out. Kind of small inside but also somewhat spread out. It was pretty busy for a Tuesday night. More people started to come in after I did, so dining in and take out was busy. There's options on the menu if you want just tendies, chicken sandwich, or a wrap! You can also choose between regular, Nashville, and honey dipped. My friend and I decided to get the tendies combo. My friend got the Nashville and I went with the honey dipped. We both thought that the flavor was good, but we also agreed that we wished the breading stuck on better because it kept coming off the chicken. The fries and coleslaw were okay and the toast didn't have much of a taste to it. Each bite kind of felt like a really greasy bite. I liked the different dirty soda options or you can even create your own! I decided to get The Float On. It was very similar to a root beer float! I enjoyed the sauce station as well, love that I have options! The best way to end your meal.....you get a FREE soft serve on a cone! Who wouldn't love that?! Their flavor of the month is peppermint! One of my favorite flavors. They also have vanilla or you can get a twist with both flavors.

I was so excited when I saw that Minnie Bird was coming to Oak Brook! I have seen their Schaumburg location all over tiktok and was so ready to try it! Minnie Bird does not disappoint! The decor was so cute inside! It gave miss minutes/time variance authority vibes if that makes sense LOL. I just loved the color scheme and consistent visuals. As a new spot, the line was fairly long as expected, but it wasn't too bad. I think there was a consistent flow of open tables so it wasn't hard to find an open spot. We ordered the Minnie Tender Combo & the Pimiento Honey Heat Sandwich Combo. The tender combo came with texas toast, fries, and coleslaw. For the sandwich combo, we opted for the cheese curds. They do not skimp out! they gave an appropriate size for each combo, which I very much appreciate! I also loved the flavor of the pimiento choose with the hot honey- sooooo good. I also loved the variety of flavors they had: fresh herb buttermilk ranch, buffalo ranch, honey mustard, bbq sauce, Minnie's sauce, and dipping sauce. We also tried a dirty soda. I loved the flavor and how they added candies at the top, a great sweet treat if you ask me. But thats not all, they also give a free soft serve ice cream. We had the pumpkin + vanilla mix, and it was a perfect way to end the meal!

I was always obsessed with Minnie Bird in Schaumburg, so I was THRILLED they opened closer to our home! I've never actually tried their food (a shame, I know), but their dirty sodas are so, so good! The Skinny Minnie menu is a 10/10- especially the north shore! They change the ice cream flavors monthly, and November 2025's is maple butter pecan, which we all loved!! Service is consistently sweet, and I feel like it's such a warm, cozy vibe that I always want to sit back and relax. We'll absolutely be back without a doubt! :)

Wow yuuuummm. My Nashville hot chicken sandwich was so. Fricken. Good. The heat of the "hot" was perfect (for your average human) but they did offer two spicer options. Fries and cheese sauce were fire and so were the cheese curds. My dirty soda was SOO GOOD. This almost seems to be more of a beverage place than a chicken place since the drinks take up 2/3 of the menu. So may dirty sodas and dirty cofffee's to choose from. Either way, the atmosphere was great. The food was great. It was fast and they offer all of their sauces for you to pump yourself so you can look as crazy as you want and not bother anyone. (The dill pickle ranch + cheese curds had me moaning at the table) Go TRY IT. Next time, in trying to pimento cheese wrap :))) mmmm

If Raising Cane's had a cooler, younger brother, this would be it. I was in town for work recently and a coworker suggested I give it a try. I know chicken spots like this are popping up everywhere, but this one really stood out. I ordered the Nashville tenders with fries. It comes with Texas toast and slaw, but here's the twist and the best part they have a sauce bar. You can load up on different kinds of ranch and other dipping sauces, which is something Cane's definitely doesn't offer. I'm looking forward to seeing more of these locations open up, hopefully closer to where I live. I'll definitely be back next time I'm in town.

My mom told me about this new place by the mall so I decided to check it out. Then I saw it on tik tok and heard about the dirty soda so I was really interested in that. I will start by saying the dirty soda was delicious- I got the peachy days and it was super yummy! I almost finished it while I was waiting for my food to be ready. To eat I got the nashville tender combo in hot and I was not impressed by these at all. There was very little flavor and not hot at all. Loved the crinkle cut fries! Will definitely come back from dirty soda if anything.

I think I like Minnie Bird even better than Cane's Chicken! The restaurant was super busy when we came on a Sunday afternoon, but we were able to find a table for 2. You order at a kiosk near the front. The combos come with a fountain drink, but you have to pay extra for the dirty soda. I highly recommend paying the extra $3ish for the dirty soda because there are so many fun flavors and they're large drinks. I got the 3-tender combo and really liked the juicy tenders and their fries. The Texas toast was basically just buttered thick toast, nothing very extraordinary, and the coleslaw was pretty tasty. They also have a sauce bar with original sauces, along with a monthly ranch. As a ranch lover, this was so exciting to me. The tables were clean, and it seemed like everyone's orders came out within 5 minutes of placing their order. I was most excited for the free ice cream, but it's not the creamy/fatty soft serve, it's more frozen ice than cream, like a sorbet.

Great food that's fresh, flavorful, and the dirty sodas are wonderful. Rivals parsons chicken in the city.

The last time I had Jeni's ice-cream was when I was in Houston. First thing is first, I love the sample spoons they give you. It's like actual mini silverware- I'm use to wooden sticks. The employees were patient and kind. The inside is beautiful with plenty of seating, but since it was such a gorgeous day I opted to sit outside. And of course the ice cream was delicious. I got the butter cream birthday cake and the honey vanilla. Truly tasty. I'm happy I finally caught up with the rest of the world and discovered this gem at Oakbrook!

It's like walking into a dessert dream. The air is thick with nostalgia, the kind that instantly transports you to carefree summer days and childhood joy. I ordered the waffle cone bowl with two scoops: Darkest Chocolate and Salty Caramel and let me tell you, this duo is nothing short of divine. The Darkest Chocolate is no ordinary chocolate. It's rich, bold, and almost sinful in its depth, think melted chocolate bars and midnight cocoa stirred into velvet. The texture? Silky and dense, like a frozen truffle that melts on your tongue with a whisper of bitterness that balances the sweet. Now the Salty Caramel, this was the real surprise. Buttery, golden, and complex, it hits your palate in waves: first sweet and creamy, then a punch of sea salt that makes your taste buds sit up and pay attention. The caramel is clearly slow-cooked, giving it that deep, toasty flavor with hints of vanilla and brown sugar. The waffle cone bowl was warm, crisp, and laced with cinnamon, adding just the right crunch to contrast the creaminess. The combination of hot and cold, sweet and salty, smooth and crisp was perfect. Every bite was a revelation, and I found myself closing my eyes just to savor the moment. My personal takeaway? If you're looking for more than dessert, if you want an experience this is the place. Do yourself a favor and get the waffle cone bowl. And don't be afraid to mix bold flavors. Trust me, your inner child (and your adult self) will thank you.

It doesn't get more local than them. With a plethora of unique ice cream flavors to pints to bring home to, they really have got all an ice cream shop needs. I especially love their Parent Trap flavor which is cookies 'n cream with peanut butter. I love that you can add toppings too like sprinkles, m&ms, chocolate chips, and much more. It's all super customizable. They also have some gluten free and dairy options which is nice. The staff has always been super friendly; it's usually a younger crowd of workers who are very personable and sweet. I always feel welcomed walking in. I've been to their Wheaton location which is a hit, too, and I do really love this Elmhurst location nestled in downtown Elmhurst. They also have unique daily specials which I saw in-store like their sparkly Wednesdays where you receive a free sparkle cone upgrade if you wear sparkly clothing. On Mondays you get double punched on your loyalty punch cards for scoops only. Super fun! You already know I'll be back. What a great ice cream shop!
