FOOD: The food here was great! It's so nice to have a good dumpling place close by. All the food we had was delicious! We started with the cream cheese rangoons, cucumber salad which were both really great. We ordered veggie fried rice, mapo tofu, chicken dumplings in chili sauce and green beans. Everything tasted really good! SERVICE: Our server, James was very friendly and helpful! He always checked on us and took our order and the food came out in a timely manner. AMBIANCE: When we walked in, James asked us if we wanted to go to the back area of the restaurant which had some additional seating and was more private. There were windows along the back wall with a view, which was nice. It was a good experience and we really enjoyed the food! Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.

Nice local dumpling house. We started with a cucumber salad (4/5 - make sure to stir it so you get all the good sauce on the bottom). We then tried: pork potstickers (4.5/5), pork wontons with spicy chili sauce (4.5/5), pork soup dumplings (4/5), and the orange chicken (4.75/5 - surprisingly good). Overall good experience. They have a big room in the back if you have a large party. Service was really nice for a fast casual location. Looks like they have one of those robot cats that delivers food, but since we were the only folks in the restaurant for lunch, the cat was not in operation. I would definitely come back.

It's my weekend of "YES!" in the OC, so of course I checked out Min's Dumpling, as suggested by Yelp friend Sherry C. (aka IG: aglassofsherry). I'm glad I did! I was welcomed in immediately and guided towards the menus. A large one on the wall, many laminated ones at the counter, and handed a tie-fold menu to look at. Everything looked good and it was challenge to not over order, but I've been craving dim sum and there were many options. Hubs was there for support, but not indulgence, so I ordered Shrimp & Pork Shu Mai: very tasty! Sweet Piggy Buns: YUM! (...and oh so CUTE!) A must get if you like soft, steamed bao w/slightly sweet custard filling. And Sesame Ball: these are always on my list as a must. Unfortunately, these were small, greasy, unevenly fried and not uniformly covered in sesame. They didn't satisfy my craving, so I'll have to find these again, maybe back in SGV on the way home. I was also wanting to add more clean protein and for that, broccoli chicken was perfect. The sauce was nice and light and there was a generous amount of chicken breast and lightly sautéed, still crunchy broccoli. They just launched new beverages so I opted for a Thai Tiger Milk w/traditional boba. It was good, but I think I'll stick to boba drinks from Sunright when I'm craving milk tea, boba and cheese foam. The interior of Min's is very cute and I wish I could've seen the robot server in action. Maybe next time I'm in the area, with a friend who likes to indulge in delicious, freshly made Chinese dishes, I'll pop back into Min's for the friendly service, nice decor and steamed bao. Cheers! We placed a pick up order after seeing the UE BOGO promo for pork xiao long bao. Soup Dumplings 4/5: They were good, both in texture and flavor. They inclided black vinegar, soy sauce, and Sriracha. We would have enjoyed ginger and chili oil/crunch, but that may come down to their to go options. Scallion Pancakes 5/5: They were our favorite from the meal. The tasted so fresh, and they were crisp with a good chew. Fried String Beans 4/5: There was a generous amount of minced garlic that complimented the tang of the sauce, but they were a bit oily. Broccoli Beef 2/5: We would skip this if we return. The broccoli was well prepared, but there was no flavor to the beef and the sauce was clumpy and not the expected texture. The staff seemed genuinely nice and were attentive. I had to wait about 10 minutes for the order, but everything was hot and fresh.

Stopped by Min's Dumpling for a quick bite tonight. Very small restaurant but it was clean. I ordered the main entrees instead of dumplings. Chicken fried rice: very good flavor but definitely needs more chicken. Rice and protein could have been of a better ratio. Too much rice and not much chicken. For the few pieces of chicken in the dish, it was nice and tender meat. Sweet and sour chicken: requested without batter fried and they gladly did it. But it had too much of vinegar taste and way too much onions. The chicken again, was very tender and good. Maybe I ordered the wrong menu items? Next time I'll try the chicken and broccoli in brown sauce, Kung pao chicken, and/or shrimp with broccoli? Service was great. Tommy did everything himself: greet diners, take orders, serve, and clean up! And he was still pleasant and always smiling.

I'm so happy to find out Min's Dumpling opened a new location so close to home! I placed the order via Toast app and everything was ready upon arrival. Parking free, easy and plenty. You can also place the order using their two kiosks by the entrance or via server. The food was reasonably priced and delicious. I think it would be best if consumed onsite as everything tasted tepid and cold by the time I got home some 10 minutes later. The dumplings and wontons were wonderful. Flavorful and had just the right amount of filling and great texture. Scallion pancakes were ok. The oil tasted stale and I wish I had some sort of dipping sauce to go with it. The sesame balls were delicious. I could eat a whole two dozen of it. Can't wait to go back again in the near future!

Each dumpling bursts with juicy, savory broth and tender pork. I think it goes without saying, poke a small hole to release the steam and sip the broth; biting into it could lead to unintended splatter! - Hot & Sour Soup. A bright, tangy-sweet broth with strips of tofu and egg. Comforting, balanced, and exactly what you hope for from a classic. - Broccoli Beef Lunch Bento Box. Tender slices of beef with crisp-tender broccoli. So delicious! It also comes with a side of rice and Persian cucumber salad. Highly recommend. - Honey Walnut Shrimp Lunch Bento Box. Plump shrimp coated in a sweet, creamy sauce, and paired with crunchy walnuts for texture. I didn't think the two would pair well together, but it works! - Kung Pao Beef. Flavorful stir-fry of tender beef, peanuts, and veggies tossed in a savory-sweet chili sauce. The spice is mild, which perfectly suited my palette. Highly recommend! THE VERDICT. Their meats are great quality and flavors are on point. Honestly, that's all I ever ask from a place, and they definitely deliver.

Restaurant is large and spacious. Decor is clean and modern. Seating is close but not crowded. Staff was very attentive and friendly. We ordered: A1. The food was really tasty! We got the Kung Pao chicken, beef fried rice, wontons in chili oil, and sweet buns. Everything was brought out promptly and tasted so good. The restaurant itself is really clean with great ventilation because we didn't smell much of the food until it was brought to our table. The waiter was really friendly and attentive. We love XLB so we were excited to try this new dumpling spot so close to home. You order on a kiosk and then find a table. Ordering is easy and the restaurant is clean with friendly staff. We have eaten many xlb from many different spots and we ordered a couple of dishes that we usually get when we go out for dumplings and here are my thoughts: Cukes - crunchy but needed to marinate longer as they were not that flavorful Green beans - al dente with good flavor Pork XLB - the skin is too thick and most had NO broth. We ordered 3 steamers and only a 3rd had broth. They don't have sliced ginger which goes hand in hand with vinegar as accompaniments so that makes these XLB only 3 stars Spicy wontons - thin skin with good amount of meat and I appreciate that they didn't drown them in the spicy sauce Hot n Sour soup - spicy with a good amount of tofu, etc in it. Overall we will not come back here for XLB since there are other local places that have better XLBs, with broth inside and serves ginger with them

Got to try out this Chinese restaurant in Mission Viejo. I enjoyed the chick chow mein and the Xiao Long Bao. The noodles was not too oily and the chicken was tender. While the XLB was meaty and soupy. The server was attentive and provided us with water refills. They do have a robot server too which was fun for the kids. I had a bit of trouble timing when I should be taking the delivered food from it.

I absolutely loved the food. We got the classic pork dumplings, chicken soup dumplings, pork pot stickers, shrimp & pork shu mai, wanton with chili sauce and chicken chow mein. First time trying this place and the food is amazing my fiance and i got the soup dumplings the orange chicken and the wontons in chili oil. All of it was super fresh and so good. The service was amazing the gentleman here got us water and our menu very fast and was very friendly. count 'em, 9 shrimps in the honey walnut shrimp. i got them with the lunch bento box special for $15.95 (plus tax). it's super that i could pick from any main entree to accompany the steamed rice and cucumber salad in the bento box. no surcharge for shrimp, even though on the main menu it's $3 more. lunch special runs from 11am-2:30pm mondays to fridays. i can't say how many more shrimp would come with the main entree. #ymmv your mileage may vary. i know this is a dumpling house and i'm sure that is delicious too, but i'm on a keto diet, so that means avoiding carbs whenever i can. read more

Stopped by this spot recently and overall had a good experience. Ordering was smooth and pickup was quick, which made the visit easy and convenient. The cutest little business ever! Everyone here is so friendly, and my best friend showed me this place today I'm so glad he did! These were honestly the best dumplings I've ever had. I'll definitely be coming back for the chicken dumplings for sure. I also love that they have a chicken option since I don't usually eat pork, that was such a nice touch! I was craving some Asian comfort food for lunch and wanted to check out this new dumpling house. I ordered takeout and the food was prepared quickly. The hot and sour soup was one of the best I've had in a long time. The flavor profile was perfection. I just wish it had a little more thickness to it since that what I'm used to. My favorite dish was the pork wontons in chili sauce. Their chili sauce is unique and very tasty. The pork soup dumplings were perfect size and had a great flavor of the soup. The scallion pancakes were a little small and if I went with my family they each would need their own order. It was crispy and tasted homemade. The hot and sour soup was amazing, we ended up ordering two more to go. The cucumbers were delicious, and while the dumplings were on the smaller side, the pork was very flavorful. My husband absolutely loved the chili pork wontons, so much so that we ordered another round. We also tried the shrimp and pork shu mai; my husband enjoyed them, but they weren't quite my favorite, I'm just not big on cooked shrimp. Overall, we can't wait to come back! Food: delicious and fresh-made (all dishes, including the dumpling shells). Ambience: clean and overlooking a beautiful nature area. If you're a dumpling lover, don't go here. Trust. I have a track record that goes back many years here in OC with my account. This is the most poorly ran Asian place I've ever been. For the price you pay, this ain't worth it. Go somewhere else. Food is not there for the amount they charge, it should be better. Service is no existent and pretty much get it yourself attitude. Let me lay it out, no chopsticks, no spoons for soups or dumplings. Just forks... forks.... I know I know crappier the service the better but this ain't it my fellow asian dumpling lovers. First time here with my good friends. Service was so friendly. They freshly steam the dumplings so there is a wait but well worth it. Foods are delicious. I recommend the xui mai and the stir fried magnolias beef. Super tender and perfect with white rice. The place is small roughly about 10 tables. It's perfect for me snd my family though. There is a starbuck right next to the plaza however this place also service delicious drinks . My son loves the dumplings read more

I ordered delivery and it wasnt great. The spicy chicken wontons were not flavorful but had some spice and the skin was not cooked well, I had to reheat it. The green beans were drowned in sauces and either old or overcooked, mushy. The cucumbers seemed too young, like not ready to be eaten. I was hungry and ate it all so it was edible but I wouldn't order again. There's a lot of great reviews so maybe it's better to dine in. read more

I feel bad doing this, but I have to be honest. When we got it to-go 8 months ago, the food quality was better than when I dined in today (you would think it would be the opposite!) The robot was cute/cool, and the servers are nice, but the boba pearls were way too sweet (even though I asked for 50% sweetness), the pork Xiao long baos were $12 for 6, and very small in size, and the orange chicken was too sweet. If I'm going to spend $42 and not even feel totally full and satisfied, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. Seven Folds in south Mission Viejo or Sunny Dumpling in Lake Forest has my vote. read more

The Mongolian beef was the most tender and flavorful I've ever had. The portions are large for a very affordable price. The honey walnut shrimp was also very good. Service was excellent. If there is anything I can do to make my guests' experience with me more pleasant, then I need to know about it. I have, all my life, cultivated an ambition to do right by the people around me. I went to UC San Diego, where I studied Management Science. During my time at college. I continued to cultivate positive habit and a sturdy mindset. It is my honor to become a part of the appeal here in San Clemente. At Min's Dumpling, you can always count on a delicious, fresh, hearty meal prepared carefully and according to my timeless recipes. Golden egg custard buns ($13.5 for 3) - These are similar to the red bean buns, except the inside has egg custard. I really wish they doubled or tripled the custard, because the amount they give is miniscule, and it's for that reason I would pass on these. Overall I'm impressed with many of the items here and the pricing is reasonable. Even though I've tried so many dishes here, I wish they had even more offerings that didn't have pork. I'll definitely be back.

The restaurant itself has a luxe vibe with cloth napkins, candle lighting on the tables and wine bottles lining the walls. The bar is nice and there's also a great covered outdoor patio too. They offer complimentary bread to start with this yummy pesto type spread. I got the butternut squash ravioli and was desiring more. The crème sauce was to die for. We finished our meal with the vanilla bean cheesecake and that was incredible too! The service was spectacular and I look forward to coming back soon! The menu is huge and I think we will have something new to try for a long time.

Nothing screams picnic quite like an iced latte and panini pairing. I ordered the chicken pesto panini, apple chai kombucha, and a mushroom iced latte. This latte did loads for my social meter. Giving me the extra pep to talk all things books. The sandwich was stacked with thick pieces of avocado, jalapeños, and sliced chicken. A very filling meal that definitely caught everyone's eye. We ordered the Kim chee burrito with Portuguese sausage and a breakfast burrito with Portuguese sausage. We also got the Island coffee (coconut flavored) and Spanish coffee (condensed milk and cinnamon). Both drinks were amazing. We also really liked the Kim chee burrito. One bite and my husband and I wish we ordered 2. It went so well with the sour cream. The service was very fast as well. This is a must try if you are in the area! Wish I had pictures but we enjoyed it so much it was gone.

We were initially drawn to Domenicos because of the stunning views of lake Mission Viejo. We had the option of sitting inside, near the bar or outside on the patio. We ordered the Chicken Alfredo Pizza and the Chicken Basil Cream Pasta. To start, the pizza was truly phenomenal. There was plenty of chicken to compliment the creaminess of the Alfredo sauce along with the dough itself. We ordered a medium pizza and it was more than enough to feed two of us. The Chicken Basil Cream Pasta was also rich and full of flavor. The serving portion was large, and we were also given Parmesan to complement the dish. Overall, the dish was enjoyable. For being a last minute pick, Domenicos on the Lake exceeded our expectations and proved to be a standout Italian restaurant in Mission Viejo.

They forgot to add the sauce and the fish was dry. That would have been fixable but our server never came back to the table to check on us and we had to find someone to help us. They brought us some sauce to pour over what was cold fish by then. We had several good meals on our prior visits so chalk it up to one bad night. Last night we went back after quite a while. Three out of the four of us had terrible meals. Two of us were planning on ordering the salmon salad but decided not to as the salmon was farmed not wild. We pivoted to the eggplant parm. It was a mistake. It was honestly the worst eggplant parm we've ever had. It was more crust than eggplant and so dry. The pasta that came with it had almost no sauce and was also dry. We asked the server to bring us some marinara sauce. The third person was also not happy with their meal. The three of us should have sent our meals back. Our server was lovely and attentive and the atmosphere was great but I think after two bad food experiences we won't be going back.

I had a very disappointing experience at this dumpling restaurant. The food was far from fresh -- the dumplings were soggy, the filling lacked flavor, and some even tasted undercooked. On top of that, the service was extremely slow, and the staff seemed uninterested in helping customers. For the price I paid, I expected much better quality and a more pleasant dining experience. This dim sum restaurant exceeded expectations. The honey walnut shrimp was perfectly balanced -- crispy, lightly sweet, and fresh. The chicken potstickers and pork dumplings were flavorful, tender, and clearly made with care. Management and service was attentive without being rushed, and the atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. This is a wonderful little gem of the city, they have literally the best dumplings I have ever had (save for China) It's almost impossible to find great chinese food restaurants in this city, and this one if wonderful.
