I have never actually been inside this location, but I've ordered from it many many times over the years. Without a doubt this is my favorite pepperoni pizza of all time. I always end up eating more than I should, this pie is irresistible. TLDR: skip it and go to a different location. It will be worth the extra drive. Or just go down the street to Bella's, their pizza is amazing. I really wanted to be able to leave a good review here because I love Minskys's pizza and the one in Blue Springs is fabulous. As a matter of fact, I've never had a bad experience at any Minskys pizza that I can recall, no matter the location. That is until today. I was in the area for an appointment so I decided to stop here for lunch on my way home. I'm very sorry that I did. I walked in and initially the hostess was a little bit short, but it appeared that she was flustered and possibly overworked. She sat me at a table, gave me a menu, and I waited for the waitress. Well at the table, I noticed that the Shakers were damaged and dirty. Also, the table was very wobbly. I attempted to fix it by putting a huge stack of napkins underneath, but I did not have enough napkins to help. I will try to attach a video. Still waiting on the waitress. I had been there about 10 minutes, so I moved myself to the next table over. I had to gather cheese and peppers from other tables to bring to mine. Again, the shakers were damaged. The waitress came over to take my order and I asked for a Coke and a medium prime cut with extra sauce. It took 30 minutes to get my food, only for it to arrive burned to a crisp. As in sections of it were completely blackened, and some of the bacon was almost charcoal and crumbled if you barely touched it. I tried to be a good sport and eat it anyway, but the burnt taste was throughout, so it was in edible. It took another eight minutes to get the waitresses attention and call her over, and she appeared very annoyed that I had asked her to come by. When I showed her the pizza that was burned and asked if they could please remake it she looked at me with a dead pan face and said "no" in a very snarky voice. Not an apology, not an explanation, just "no." at this point I got annoyed and I responded that I would just gather my things and leave then because I was not going to eat pizza with carcinogenic charcoal all the way around it, and she then replied well that's how we cook our bacon. Mind you I've had the same pizza at every Minskys I've gone to and don't have the issue of the Crumbled, charcoal, bacon, or the burned and blackened crust. She started blubbering, and I said that if they could not remake that one and do it without burning it that I would be willing to take a combo with extra sauce. She said "fine" and grab the pizza and stormed off. While waiting for my new Pizza, I flagged down the hostess when she walked by and asked if she would grab the manager. The manager came out and I explained to him what had happened and he apologized and said he would talk to the waitress after I left to avoid any more unpleasantness for me. I told him thank you and just a few minutes later, the hostess brought my new pizza out and refilled my drink. I was glad that it was not my waitress because honestly, I was worried she might spit in it. She was still out in the dining area when my pizza came out though, so it was fine. The new pizza was perfect so I ate in peace. The waitress came over and asked if I needed a box and a refill, I said yes to the box no to the refill. The hostess brought my check by and I went to check out with my leftover pizza. I noticed when I got to the checkout that the manager had actually charge me as an employee which got me a pretty steep discount so that was very nice of him and made the experience a little bit better. I paid my bill, made sure that the staff does not share tips, and gave the hostess a hefty tip and told her to make sure she did not share it with the waitress who was terrible. I'm not usually one to skimp on tips, and in fact I've been known to tip up to 50% for someone who did an exceptional job, but this waitress was nothing but snarky and rude. I guess she may have been having a bad day, but you can't expect your customers to tip you well when you're nasty to them. After I tipped the hostess, she actually told me that they had another pizza exactly like the one the combo that I ordered second that had been called in while I was there and not picked up. She gave me that one to take home as well because they were just going to throw it away. The manager and the hostess are why this location gets two stars though Service from the waitress, burned Pizza, and the condition of the furniture and condiment holders are what brought it down. Overall, I probably won't be back to this location just because the experience was so bad overall. There are plenty of other locations nearby that I can go to instead and, if I'm going to Lee Summit, I will go a few box further down the highway to Bella's. read more

I really like Minsky's Pizza. But you can find a better location. Pizza here is great. They were understaffed, the salad bar I was not kept up. Half the abandoned tables were still dirty. The people working here we're very nice, they were just overwhelmed. The pizza was excellent! We probably won't return to this location after this experience. read more

This has been our to-go date day pizza restaurant of choice for many years and for good reason. The Papa Minsky is our favorite pizza but I am sure all are good with the quality cheese and toppings they use. We typically have Micah as our server and she is top-notch. This has to be the worst Minskys location. We walked in, asked if we wanted a booth or table, we said booth- the hostess seemed irritated...ok... we sit there for probably 15 minutes, then another girl comes by and asks if anyone has helped us, we said no. About 5 minutes later someone comes, and takes our drink order. Placing our drink order, we also placed our dinner order- about 35-40 minutes go by and the pizzas come out....but the toppings for the one is handed to us on a plate. Literally 1/4d tomato's, 2 big leaves of lettuce, and a pile of cheese. I asked the waitress what that was- I've never gotten a taco or tostada pizza from anywhere I've had to cut the veggies and put on. She stated regardless of how it was at blue springs or independence- this is a private franchise and they do it different as not everyone likes everything on their pizza. Not sure how it would vary from any other pizza- if I didn't want it, we'd ask for it to not be on it. How do you expect me to cut this and spread this with a fork? Waitress got really rude after I sent it back telling her I had zero desire to eat whatever that was. I have frequented numerous locations and never had a single issue, as it should be- just good pizza and great service. This location needs some serious realignment to align with the other more successful restaurants. For 6 customers in the building during our tenure, you would have thought the lack of service would have been lights out, but instead people want to screw around in the kitchen and discuss how I didn't want to make my own pizza after sending it back. read more

Having not ordered a pizza here for quite some time I took a chance the other day after I recalled that I had credit for a replacement pizza after the last one I ordered here was a disaster. It nearly seemed that whenever I asked for extra cheese that I would get the opposite. Stopped in at 11:00 am for my grandsons birthday. We had a party of 15. We were greeted by a waitress who told us she had a party of 50 coming in so it was going to be difficult...she seated us and proceeded to mop the floor of the room I assume was for the party of 50. Another waitress took our drink orders and it was obvious she didn't want to be there. My daughter in laws salad had a bug in it so she send it back. The pretzel bites were cold as was the cheese that came with it. I will say the pizza itself was delicious! Customers are your livelihood and should be treated as such. Put a smile on your face and treat them like you would want to be treated if you were out to eat! read more

My boyfriend. Mom and I went to eat lunch. We weren't informed of any specials It took us 20-25 min before we had our drink order taken. Al older man stood for a good 15 minutes before someone took his check. Terrible service!!! They walk around like they don't care how long you have to wait. The pizza didn't have much tomato sauce at all, it tasted like the crust mas a premade crust. It was a very disappointing visit!! It was nosey so if you're going for quiet don't go here, and allow lkebty of time. I remember eating at Mindy's years ago and really liking it..no not at this location. Restrooms had paper towels all over the floor from overflowing waste baskets. They also smelled like sewage. Took over an hour to get our food from the time we ordered and parties that came in after us were already eating by the time we got our food. Complained to the server when we finally got our food and got no explanation or apology. Was told that I must be mistaken. Pizza was great when we finally did get it - no issues there. Then our server pulled a disappearing act. Had to go to the host stand to ask for to go boxes and our check because we got tired of waiting. We routinely visit Minskys for the weekday lunch special. The food is always fresh and the portions are more than adequate. The fried mushroom appetizer is excellent! the food is a great value for the money! Our server is typically, Micha! I ordered a pizza for my brother as he had to work late (working from home). It arrived in time. However, the photo included is what was delivered. The pizza was burned black, with a huge chunk literally charred off of one side. A slice of pizza was missing. I have no idea how someone looked at this burnt mess and sliced it, much less boxed it, and even with a piece missing. When I called the store after getting the picture from my brother, the hostess put me on hold and then hung up on me immediately. I called back and the hostess apologized, then did the same thing a second time. I can't believe I paid $25 for an incomplete, charred mess. I also paid for a second order from Main Slice, who were very nice and delivered the food extra quickly when I explained what has happened. My advice: go somewhere else. Anywhere willing to sell and serve this and let it get delivered like this can't be trusted to be hygienic or quality, and the prices are comical for the food you get. read more

What a joke. We have been sitting here for over an hour waiting for our food. There are only 6 tables seated. When we walk in the had it on the Hockey playoffs then and hour in they changed all the TVs to the NFL and refused to change even one we could see back. You can no longer order a thin crust pizza. They no longer have cracker thin crust which is what thin crust is. I was told lees summit corporate no longer ordering thin cracker crust but kitchen has to roll out as thin. Well 1/2" in not thin pizza. Lees Summit Minskys never fails to disappoint. They don't have VIP. They order cheaper salad dressings than the other restaurants. That was told to me years ago which I why I quit ordering salad from this particular one. They exterior looks unkempt and borderline abandoned. Weeds everywhere. I love Minskys pizza from Raymore, Indepedence, Prairie Village, Etc but Lee's Summit has disappointed me for the last time. There's quite a difference between this location and the others....I have reported and sent wrong/bad pizzas back so many times, I'm giving up. Leawood and OP locations have it down to a science. The pizza is always hot, fresh, and just how you order it. With this location, it's like playing craps. You might get a good one, but most of the time you simply crap out. The last three times I've ordered(carry out and delivery), I've either been given the wrong pizza (incorrect toppings), a burnt pizza, or one that tastes like it's 2nd day warmed in the oven---dry, overcooked, and flavorless. It's a shame because I've grown up on Minsky's--I love them, but this location never loves me back. Reluctantly, it's time to move on. read more

I only saw one other employee there that day, waiting on another table. Eaten here on several occasions when visiting from out of town. I love this family owned business and the pizza is good. I'm usually not a fan of any type of pizza that's not New York style but their original crust pizza is really good and not too thick. We just had our son's baseball team party at Minsky's, and it was really awesome! They made it so easy by offering unbeatable large group party packages. We had the 40 person party package and I do recommend getting all the pizzas "party sliced" so everyone can try the different pizza flavors. Anita, our friendly server, was a pro! She made our party worry-free, was excellent about getting our pitchers of drinks and beer, cheesy bread and pizzas out right on time, as well as being available for folks to order extras on the side. It was super cute to have the kids at a "Players Table" - We had the whole banquet room and it was a great set up in order to make speeches, present trophies and player gifts, plus, the small arcade was a perfect activity for the kids to entertain themselves while grownups socialized. Everyone was left happy. We even had leftovers that folks took home! We are so pleased by the whole experience and will definitely book a large party again in future! read more

Minsky's was one of the best pizza spots in Lee's Summit at their old location. They've slowly gotten worse over the years culminating in the most disappointing pizzas I've ever had from them this weekend. Over-cooked, the bacon on top was burned and inedible. It was also about a quarter full at 6pm on a Friday. I'm guessing this location won't be around much longer. A great recipe cannot survive incompetent management and poor quality control. Ordered a pizza tonight at 5:38 and was told it would be ready at 6:08 When I arrived to get my pizza I was told my pizza was still in the oven and would be ready in 2 minutes. I waited another 20 minutes and again asked where is my pizza? I eventually got my pizza at 6:52 with a brief explanation but no apology for my pizza being 46 minutes late nor a thank you.
