I checked out Johnny's in the Hilton Garden Inn and was pleasantly surprised! We got the Little Italy Combination for an appetizer to try a little of everything! Take me back for the sausage bread and the bruschetta! The crusted goat cheese salad was so good! For dinner I had their char-boiled ribeye and it was cooked just right with a side of veggies. Ended trying 2 desserts a cheesecake and crème brûlée. Cheesecake is always my favorite. Long travel days require a great meal to refuel energy. Johnny's Italian is inside the Hilton where I was staying. What a great stroke of luck! Their environment is elevated and relaxing! The food and drinks will make you feel pampered and satisfied! Their food was upscale with friendly pricing and staff. Amy had some sweet recommendations and brought me an excellent cucumber martini! She is also a great conversationalist. I loved the salad with fried goat cheese and apple slices because is melt in your mouth delicious! The meal was exactly what I needed with fresh greens and I inhaled every bite! My travel partner enjoyed a burger with fries and a 22 oz beer! Fresh focaccia bread is served with the meal and we loved everything about the place. Super nice restaurant! Attached to the Hilton hotel but super super nice. Came for my birthday and dressed up and fit the vibe but people also wear normal clothes too so there's no dress code. I had a big party an was seated right away and the service was amazing. Didn't get a picture of the drinks but they get lit for special effects which was cool. The dinner selection is pretty wide. Little Italy combo, shitaki steak risotto, Johnnys Minnelli, chicken parm, four cheese ravioli w shrimp Rosa, and a Parmesan crusted steak. Everything was delicious, only notes is the Parmesan crusted steak had a lot of parmesan so some got scraped off and then the sauce for the four cheese ravioli with shrimp Rosa had a little kick to it that was still bearable so if you can't handle any spice, that wouldn't be for you. Being in the mood for a good cut of meat, I found Johnny's on Yelp & the reviews were acceptable. So I made a reservation over the phone & arrived just in time to wait a bit. It seemed a little bit disorganized from the front of the house. It took awhile to find a two-top so we waited patiently. Once seated our waitress was very accommodating. When I first arrived I must admit the location is a bit sketchy being connected to a Hilton Garden Inn. Being that I travel for a living it's been my experience that very seldom is there any great food available inside a hotel but this one surprised me. I don't live close and I still drive to eat here. I've had multiple menu items...the appetizers are mouthwatering, the STEAKS, chicken parm, chicken medeira, pastas....ALL FANTASTIC! And the bartender makes the most amazing drinks. Delicious! Very fancy atmosphere with dark lighting and candles. They serve bread as you're getting started, and it's very fresh and delicious! Went here for #KCRW2019 to tried out their lunch menu with my good friend Ting. Really didn't expect this place to be a nice, cool, modern steakhouse near the hotel. We were greeted right away at the door and was seated immediately too. I've ordered the Betta Bruschetta as my first course and the 6 oz Top Sirloin with Parmesan Butter Crust as my second course. My friend order the baked potato soup. The soup is loaded with bacon, potatoes, and it was a perfect size for 1 serving and even on a cold day. As for the Betta Bruschetta, each toast was filled on top with creamy cheesiness and topped with tomatoes. Gooey yumminess! For our next course, our steak with potatoes came! We was hungry. The mash potatoes came with our sirloins and it was a good size portion as well. It paired will with our steaks! Order medium, came out medium well for me. A little tough, but still good! Me and my family were in town from Des Moines, Iowa Friday for the Chiefs Browns game on Saturday and stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn located in Olathe. We woke up and went down for breakfast Saturday morning and Jaidyn greeted us as we walked in. She was awesome. She got us setup at the table. The setting is very laid back and comfortable. Jaidyn directed us towards the breakfast offerings. They had waffles, pancakes, eggs, cheesy potatoes, fruit, it's awesome!! Jaidyn kept busy checking on all the guests in the area but she always made sure to check back and see if we needed anything and clear plates. Ordered the filet special, the crab cake and pasta were delicious. The manager delivered the entrees. I asked for a knife and he grabbed a setting from the next table, my husband requested a fork, and the manager replied, "there's one in that setting". He was very unaccomodating and seemed to have an attitude. I had requested a temperature of medium in the filet, however, it was very rare. I had eaten my sides before the waiter returned to check on us. He did offer to return the steak to the grill and I declined. The manager did come back and he too offered to recook the steak, when I declined,he offered a dessert, which I also declined,and again left in a huff. The first and only time we were offered refills on our beverages was when we were paying the bill and preparing to leave. There were only two tables at the time we were there so I don't think the staff was overwhelmed, but I felt as if we were being treated as an inconvenience. I sat at the bar and the service was great. The bartender was very knowledgeable and on point with the customer service. The food was okay. The steak, which I got cooked medium, was cooked right but I didn't like the "burnt" taste on the outer part of the steak. Some parts of the steak were really crunchy but the Parmesan crustedness helped with the flavor. The baked potato was really good. It was soft and warm so it melted all the toppings perfectly. The salad was good as well. I wasn't a fan of the house dressing because it was really sweet so I asked for it on the side (thank goodness), I ended up just using old faithful, ranch. This was the first time I have been here. We were staying at the hotel next to this restaurant and decided to try it. We wanted Italian. We, my son n I, arrived at 645 pm on a Thursday night. There were a few people eating and the place was clean. There was music going on in the background (trendy type) and it was not noisy. The hostess seated us immediately. Our waitress was quick to our table and we ordered. We ordered spaghetti and raviolis/shrimp. Salads came with our meal. We are the free bread while we waited for our food. Wow! The food came quick, within 5 minutes. Crazy fast. My son, 12, didn't like his spaghetti. He said the spaghetti tasted funny, so I tried it. The spaghetti was flavored and didn't taste like traditional spaghetti, so I'm guessing that's why he didn't like it. I asked the waitress if we could switch the spaghetti with one with just sauce on it and she quickly agreed. Great customer service! Our waitress was Catherine and she did an awesome job! My son got his next spaghetti and liked it. My raviolis and shrimp was good. (I took pics of both meals) I couldn't give this restaurant a 5 only because it's pricy for pasta. We went here for our anniversary and had a great dinner. We started with the meatballs for the appetizers. The price was a bit high for the number of meatballs that you get but they were tasty.
