Johnny's Italian Steakhouse is beautiful inside, and the food was amazing. The bruschetta, filet, and minnelli pasta were so good. Bruce, the manager, was fantastic super welcoming and made sure everything was perfect. Highly recommend!

One of the best steaks I've had! Loved the kognak steak cream sauce. Sausage bread was great too. And solid bartender named Michael running the place. I'll be back

Steak medallions, picture does not do it justice lol this looks like little turds in a bowl of something but the taste was wonderful.

We will drive two and a half hours just to come to this restaurant. Absolutely delicious !!! Our waitress, Amy, was amazing the bread was to die for, then I had the goat cheese salad, heaven !!! It came with a fried goat cheese ploppy thing but was soooo good. I had the Steak Medallions with Risotto and my husband had the Lasagna, he is a picky man and he said it was the best ever.

Super nice restaurant! Attached to the Hilton hotel but super super nice. Came for my birthday and dressed up and fit the vibe but people also wear normal clothes too so there's no dress code. I had a big party an was seated right away and the service was amazing. Didn't get a picture of the drinks but they get lit for special effects which was cool. The dinner selection is pretty wide. Little Italy combo, shitaki steak risotto, Johnnys Minnelli, chicken parm, four cheese ravioli w shrimp Rosa, and a Parmesan crusted steak. Everything was delicious, only notes is the Parmesan crusted steak had a lot of parmesan so some got scraped off and then the sauce for the four cheese ravioli with shrimp Rosa had a little kick to it that was still bearable so if you can't handle any spice, that wouldn't be for you. Chef also serves complimentary house-made focaccia which was very tasty. Definitely would recommend for a nice dinner or if you want good pasta or steak.

Started out with the sausage bread- delicious!! Then ordered the filet! It was so tender and good! My husband ordered the Parmesan encrusted New York strip! Would highly recommend both!

Filet Oscar topped with crab cake, w/risotto. Delicious!

Being in the mood for a good cut of meat, I found Johnny's on Yelp & the reviews were acceptable. So I made a reservation over the phone & arrived just in time to wait a bit. It seemed a little bit disorganized from the front of the house. It took awhile to find a two-top so we waited patiently. Once seated our waitress was very accommodating. When I first arrived I must admit the location is a bit sketchy being connected to a Hilton Garden Inn. Being that I travel for a living it's been my experience that very seldom is there any great food available inside a hotel but this one surprised me. The food & wine were amazing & all of the food was excellent.

    The best Bloody Mary ever!

Relaxing, attentive great service. Food was the best ever. Bartenders Bruce and Alexis great. So happy your restaurant is back to GREAT! And the steak risotto was perfect. Whoever the chef was ..... excellent !

Delicious! Very fancy atmosphere with dark lighting and candles. They serve bread as you're getting started, and it's very fresh and delicious! I ordered the Johnny's Chanel No 5, which was an amazing, rich pasta. I would recommend it to anyone! It also came with a house salad, which was also quite good. Overall, I had a great experience and plan on going back tomorrow night to try out another dish!

We initially chose it thinking "oh it's v day, people will want to do something nicer than TRH". WRONG. Told a 3 hour wait and we shuffled over to the Olive Garden. Well, this year, I was smart. I went online weeks prior to make a reservation, only to find out that they don't take reservations--only a waitlist. So I plotted. I told myself that I'd start looking at the waitlist starting at 2p for Valentine's Day I kid you not, by 330p, the waitlist was already at 1.25 hours. 30 min later at 4p, the waitlist was at 2hrs. Perfect. 6pm dinner sounds great! We arrived and they seated us within 2 minutes. Our waiter came promptly and checked on us so many times. Salads came out literally within a minute of us ordering. Entrees took five minutes. A wait staff stood there and waited for us to cut into our steaks to ensure that it was to our liking. And we pay at the table on a machine on our own time. We got in and out in 30 minutes. Whoever is the manger/GM know how to manage. Kudos to them for an insanely smooth holiday dinner. Also... a chain restaurant having an almost 4 star review is insane--but now I understand.

Several dishes were overly salted, and the Caesar salad was especially sad--wilted lettuce and lacking freshness. The restaurant was very crowded, but not adequately staffed to handle the volume. Service was slow throughout the night, and they ran out of items on the Restaurant Week menu. I was served melted sorbet and had to send it back. Our dinner took nearly three hours, largely due to long stretches of waiting to be served or checked on. Busy nights are understandable, but the lack of pacing and execution really took away from what could have been a much better experience. They had a jazz band playing which was a nice experience. If you go, ask for a table on the right. We were on the left side and about frozen every time the front doors opened, which was a lot while the band was bringing in their equipment.

The…read morerestaurant has a very welcoming and modern decor and the menu consists of amazing comfort fusion dishes with Indian and western flavors which light your tastebuds on fire. For our drinks we orders 'Have a Cigar' and a low sugar mocktail they created for me. Both were made very well and were super refreshing. For our mains, we ordered, 'Black Cardamon Burnt ends', 'Tandoori Chicken' and 'Smash burger with peri peri fries' and for desert we ordered the parle g mango ice-cream' sandwich with some aromatic chai. My most favorite dish out of all were the burnt ends - they had a superb fusion flavor of Indian spices which went well with the meat and paired well with the grits. Trust me when i say this that i would eat this everyday for the rest of my life if i could. The smash burger and peri peri fries were excellent and definitely hit the spot. The real disappointed was with Tandoori chicken. I felt the chicken did not pair well with the sambar risotto and the fried okra even though it tasted good, was an after thought. The rice in the risotto was very grainy and undercooked. I told that to our server and they instantly apologized and acknowledged the issue and also proceeded to remove the dish from our bill. After that the chai was very warm and comforting and the parle g ice-cream biscuits were nostalgic and a great way to finish the meal. While not every dish was perfect, i love the excellent customer service they provided and the way the owner/manager/staff handled our feedback. I will be back to try more food here - 5/5.

My wife and I had our anniversary dinner here a few weeks ago, and had a great experience!…read more We made a reservation for a Friday evening during primetime. We were seated on time at a table next to the bar-side of the dining room. Speaking of the dining room, it's a nice, if standard size for a strip-mall space, but I really appreciated that the tables were not stacked on top of each other, as seems to be the case at more and more places these days. It felt like there might be some chance of our entire conversation not being completely overheard by our neighbors, which was nice for a change! Our waitress was fantastic! She walked us through the menu, the restaurant's approach to cooking and seasonality, some of her faves, and made wonderful recommendations! We decided to split a few small plates, which was a great approach! We got to try about 1/3 of the small plate menu, and loved it all! It was all great, but the Black Cardamom Burnt Ends are NOT to be missed! It made my cardamom-loving, Midwest soul very, very happy indeed! The space is a really nice size - not massive or overwhelming - and with the shades drawn down (to seal out the late afternoon sun, thank goodness!) and dim lighting, the mood vibes were solid for a romantic anniversary dinner! The other ambiance item of note is that the restroom corridor smelled absolutely fantastic! Upon investigation, it was due to a burning candle from a lovely local-KC company that was custom made for the restaurant! Yes, they're for sale, and yes, we picked up two! While everything was lovely and the food was very good, you're definitely paying a high price for it. Not that it's not deserved, but the "value" feels aren't necessarily "off the charts", by any means. And that is really my only critique, if there is any at all! Even though LongHorn has been around a long time, our family has only recently "discovered" it!…read more Last year, in a timeframe of just a few weeks, we had multiple friends and family coincidentally mention great meals and experiences at LongHorn, so we thought it was high time to check in at the long-famed steakhouse! We've now been about a half dozen times (yes, this review IS overdue!), and we've had mostly great experiences! As a matter of fact, if this review had been written prior to our latest visit, it would have ONLY been positive! This location (our only location visited thus far) has been pretty consistent across the areas of service and food. First, the positives: for a medium-sized, wide-open dining room, somehow this place is always quiet enough for normal-level conversation at the table. No yelling, projecting over, cupping over ears or other tactics are needed, and I really appreciate that! The service has always been consistently "attentive", which is my way of saying perfectly normal/average. For a nice, sit-down steak dinner (I'm assuming steak is at the heart of why most folks are here), the value here is real: while they're not giving it away, the prices seem super fair, especially for the red meat options! Lastly, there's just something nice about the ambiance of a dimly lit, western-ish themed dining room to enjoy a meat-and-potatoes meal, and LongHorn does a good job of meeting expectations here! So, where's the gap? Well, up until our latest visit, I would have said there was not one. However, on our last visit, which was with a party of six adults, the main food dish on multiple plates (three of the six) was FAR overdone. It was as if the main grill caught fire and burned a ton of food, but they didn't want to toss it. I had the pork ribs, and to be honest, they were a single micron away from inedible. Extremely tough, difficult to chew, and impossible to swallow without a water assist, I choked my way through. Frequent fliers of my Yelp reviews (hi, Mom!) know that I have a strict policy of not sending food back and/or requesting a new dish due to a complaint. I simply go with what is served, eat it if I am able, and drop an honest review after. Therefore, I will say that it will be difficult for me to return here soon, as $30-$50 for a supper that was largely inedible is not my idea of a good value, and the risk of suffering it again is tough when the competition is fierce. Take that for what it's worth: one visit in five or six, but for the money and the hope of a nice meal, the risk is a little high. If you don't have any beef (!!) with sending food back on the chance it comes out poorly, you should be fine! The sides here are really good (definitely check out the brussels sprouts!) and I love their salads! We've tried all sorts of protein options - steaks, chicken, pork and seafood - and normally, everything is very good! Food = 3/5 Facility = 3/5 Service = 3/5 Ambiance = 4/5 Value = 3/5

Our servicer was fast and very friendly. We really liked their take on the fried onion appetizer, which they call the Texas Tonion. Unlike other restaurants who serve onion blossoms, which while tasty, can be a little greasy, these separately breaded and fried onion slices are delightful and delicious. Next was the French Onion soup which really hit the spot, very good. As my entree, I ordered an 8 oz sirloin and added a lobster tail. While the steak was cooked perfectly, I noted that the lobster tail was missing. Our server, Angie, went to check on it. She returned and let me know that the chef had noticed that the tail was overcooked and had started another one. My one complaint here is that while it takes less than 10 minutes to cook a 4 oz. lobster tail, I finished my steak and baked potato before the tail arrived. I wasn't rushing my meal, as I was enjoying it and talking with my wife, so I thought the tail was very late to the party. Angie who apparently felt the same, told me I wouldn't be charged for the tail, which was just a little under cooked, though still very tasty. As this was most likely not a normal mistake, we will be back for more, especially the Texas Tonion and French Onion soup.

However, things got interesting with their Tequila/Cold Brew/Liquor 43 concoction. Topped with an egg foam cap, it was actually pretty solid. A bit of a gamble, but sometimes you have to roll the dice when the menu is trying that hard. The Culinary "Hit and Miss" Then came the food, or as I like to call it: The Great Consistency Crisis. The Steak: I asked for medium-rare; I received medium-well with a "char" that felt more like a personal vendetta against the cow. The Potatoes: Apparently, potato portions are determined by a lottery system. I received about half the amount of the person next to me. Maybe I didn't look hungry enough? The Eggs: My over-easy eggs had crispy, hard edges and arrived at a temperature I'd describe as "lukewarm at best." We also had to hunt down salt and pepper like we were on a scavenger hunt. Honestly, I probably should have just hit the buffet and cut out the middleman. The Service Our server was perfectly nice, but he appeared to be roughly twelve years old. Since he wasn't legally old enough to understand the complexity of a craft cocktail, he couldn't give us any info on the drink menu. We just had to "go with our gut"--which is a dangerous game when tequila and cold brew are involved. The Verdict I'm not saying I won't be back, but consider this a fair warning: if Round 2 involves another charred steak and a side of "room temperature" eggs, I'll be sending it back for a rerun faster than a shanked drive into the woods. 3/5 Stars -- Great for people-watching, questionable for potato-equity.

I made a reservation in advance which seemed wise in retrospect since the restaurant was quite busy at 7pm. The staff reached out before the reservation to ask about the details of our special celebration. When we showed up they had a nice placard and gave us champagne to help us celebrate! It was a nice gesture by the staff. Our server Adam was too notch, very professional and knowledgeable of the menu. He really made our experience very enjoyable. He even prepared some of our drinks at our table with one hand! Cool guy. Our food was phenomenal, the Chilean Sea Bass was prepared nicely and seasoned lightly with blackend like seasoning. I was surprised at the small portion sizes that came with our dishes. So definitely get the share size sides. The carrot cake dessert was also pretty incredible, very dense and flavor was not so intense. The vibe here is definitely upscale, although their bar had a couple large TVs. Definitely get a reservation and be prepared to shell out some serious bucks for your meal

Food was amazing. We had the Taylor tots with aioli sauce. For main dishes we had the ribeye steak and scallops on a creamy risotto. Everything was delicious and well seasoned. The risotto was slightly salty but not enough to complain about it. It was still very flavorful. Drinks were very good. The dessert, carrot cake, was amazing. Of note, there is a dress code. Highly recommend if you are celebrating or for special occasions. Their happy hour is worth trying.

On Saturdays they have a "live hoof" gathering in the parking lot. People bring in sheep, goats, cattle, etc and then the customers pick out which animal they want to buy/slaughter. They start this at 5AM, but I was told the line starts before 4AM because that they get the first pick of the animals for sale. Place was decorated with previous animals. Everything was clean and neatly organized. Great place!

Not only do they have a fantastic selection of butchered meats, they also have plenty of smoked meat options, deli items, fresh eggs, butter, seasonings, pet treats, and local honey and produce. The staff is so helpful and ready to cut anything the way you request or answer your questions. The facility is clean and smells of hickory. Always have a pound or two of bacon in the freezer and only go to this butcher for my meat and poultry needs. Please note, they only have land items, no fish or seafood.
