Delightful little Mediterranean joint in Queen Anne. We were so thankful they were open during the crazy Seattle snowstorm. Prices are fair for the location and the portions match it. We grabbed a falafel salad, hummus & pita & Chicken shawarma wrap for the next day. Great service and really nice people working the counter! Falafel salad is fresh and simple. Pita was warm and soft when we got home and the hummus had a really good creaminess. My feedback is I wish was a touch more tahini. Overall great place to check out when you're in the area! Great fresh food! Everyone was super friendly. Large portions. Both meals we had came with salads.

Best thing I've put in my mouth in a long time. We went before a 6pm hockey game and were the only ones there. Thankfully, we came early enough because there was a longer wait than expected as they get a lot of door dash and pickup orders. When the food finally arrived, the portions were generous and we were stuffed. We got the Greek fries and split a mixed plate. Came with a side salad. Would definitely order again. This is another small independent business that has popped up last year in lower Queen Anne. It is clean and the owner, who also works here, is very polite. He was very helpful with all of the questions I had about the menu. I have been coming here for a while and I enjoyed all of the sandwiches I have had! I really like any of the lamb choices and if you're a vegetarian you should try the Falafel. It was pretty solid. They also have a vegetarian sandwich which was also good but I'd definitely go for the falafel! They have Greek fries with a white sauce and feta. They are okay but I'm a fries purist so I just prefer regular fries if I'm going to eat fries at all. If you're in the area give this place a try! read more

The Greek Fries are really delicious, and the best thing on the menu. The Falafel should be eaten as part of the Falafel Salad. In a wrap, they lose all their crispiness. Also, you probably have to buy additional sauce (tzatziki), otherwise the wrap will be too dry, although they do have hot pepper sauce on the table, as well as ketchup for the fries. Having had falafel in Rome, Lisbon and Nice--within the past half year in the latter two cities--, I felt pretty disappointed. The person at the counter is aggressive in watching the customer pay with a credit card, presumably to see what kind of a tip s/he leaves. As this is a fast-food restaurant, I don't see the necessity, really, as the prices for the shawarma (around $10), etc.--a mouthful to pronounce for me--are not low. I believe that, as most Europeans do, employers ought to pay their employees a decent living wage. The beef used is nothing to rave over. There is kleenex on the tables instead of napkins. Bonus tip: If you're at the tail end of a bender and trying to rally for Capitol Hill karaoke, order a round of Turkish coffees, which are technically regulated by the FAA as jet fuel. Mint and Olives is a Mediterranean restaurant in Lower Queen Anne with sliced gyros as well as the more usual Mediterranean staples. The location is a small building with a counter and a bunch of tables. The interior is basic but decently decorated and there are comfortable booths available. We ate before going to theatre, but judging from our visit in Jan 2022, the vast majority of customers are doing delivery or takeout. The limited staff were also working super hard, which made service a bit patchy. The menu is not large, but has a range of wraps and plates, as well as lamb shank. Food service was very fast - our food came super quickly, but table service wasn't attentive. The staff were very friendly and flexible. Food quality was generally great. Hummus and pita was super, lentil soup was good. My wife had the Chicken Shwarma which she said was moist and delicious. I had the lamb/beef gyros. It was ok, but I would much prefer it was lamb only (hard to get in the USA). Overall the food quality here was great and we'll definitely return another time. Recommended. read more

Tonight I brought a friend to Mint and Olives. Not so much a picky eater, as a precise one. He wants things fresh, flavorful, and appealing. Here you look at pictures on a wall and call out or point to your selection. Then you pick your table and wait a few minutes. When the food arrived tonight it was everything we wanted and more. The babaganoush was excellent; pita, fresh and hot. Our dolmas were fresh and lemony delicious. Both of our entree salads were ample, crisp, and oh so good. I found this place from the great ratings. I do agree this place is awesome. A few reasons why I didn't give it a full 5 star rating: it was pretty cold inside, the salad that we got had a bit too much dressing on it and parts of my kabobs were the slightest bit undercooked. That being said this place has the best dolmas that I've maybe ever had. And everything was flavored deliciously. The rice was sooo soo good. And the service was great. This is the spot for delicious, comforting gyro wraps and more! My fiancé and I love coming here for reliably good and affordable food. I always get the gyro salad and he gets the falafel salad. I've also had the chicken platter and it's delicious. The portions are a good size and you could probably keep half for lunch or for another person. The lentil soup is also yummy and very nourishing. They occasionally have specials and recently they started doing dessert too. Come give them a visit and come hungry :) read more

The food is delicious! The owner is lovely! Order & Pickup was easy. The indoor seating is substantially spaced out and airy. I've had several menu items and they are all good. . The chicken is always seasoned well and even the rice perfectly seasoned. They even have a cooler with a bunch of random drinks in it which is great for grabbing and going. I ordered delivery from this place via Grubhub and WOW! I've tried around 4 or 5 different gyro restaurants around the area and the taste of this food was definitely a stand out. The food was so delicious and they give you a lot of food for one order! I ordered the lamb and beef gyro platter and it took me 3 different sessions to finish it! The meat was so flavorful (although a little on the saltier side) and the rice (you can choose between yellow and white) was noticeably tasty as well. I was very impressed! My friend ordered the Chicken Tikka and said he really liked it too. I took a bite and thought it was pretty dry, but I never order chicken at gyro restaurants because I feel like it's always pretty dry for my preference. They give you a salad on the side of each platter which is nice and the portions were also pretty decent compared to other restaurants. One thing to note, on the photos of the lamb/beef gyro they have some kind of peppers, but those peppers are not actually included on the platter (at least they didn't come with mine). The reason I'm giving this a 4/5 is because there were issues with the sauce. I feel like gyros are all about the sauce and this one did not come with any sauce at all! Just to be safe, I even added the sauce under the extras tab and paid $1. It was such a bummer because they forgot to add ANY extra sauce to our order! So I was so bummed out not have any sauce to go with my gyro platter! Who eats Gyro platters without any kind of sauce? Overall, I definitely recommend this place for the portions and quality of the food offered. Loving this new spot! I really only eat gyros from the place in Pike Place, the name escapes me but I'm picky about the meat and sometimes the sauce hurts my tummy but no problems from here! Easy location. There was a pho place here, unbelievably gross kitchen and when the sign went up for Mint & Olive it was a few weeks before they opened which I'm sure was because of the kitchen renovation but the outside and other parts of the space are redone too!!
