4. Chicken Gyro 15. Shish Kabob
Candice L.

We came here for dinner on a Saturday night and it was pretty empty. The service was quick and we were able to get out food quickly. We ordered the shish kabob plate and chicken gyro. The chicken gyro was good but nothing crazy. The chicken was well-seasoned. I also loved how soft the pita bread was. It looked small, but the gyro actually kept me so full the entire night. I woke up the next morning still feeling full! I had a few bites of the shish plate as well but thought the rice was very dry. If I'm craving Mediterranean food next time, I'll definitely come back to try other things on the menu.

Big portions and delicious flavors every time. I've had their mixed Kabobs, lamb shank and gyros and they've all been great. I really like the yellow rice. I would say the best deal is the Lamb shank - it's huge - you can see the picture. And it's enough to share for 2. So yummy! They do charge an extra fee if you use credit card - 3.5%. But they're on TMobile deals so if you have TMobile, make sure you are enrolled in their restaurant cash back program.

Chicken Tikka and garlic sauce were the stars of the show - just excellent and very delicious!! Chicken Shawarma wrap was just okay, and it was a huge soggy mess. Chicken gyro wrap was much better and tasted fabulous!! Lentil Soup was good but not very flavorful. Hummus & 2 Pita was very good! Six Piece Falafel was also good. Greek Fries were very good but slightly soggy. French Fries were disgusting, nothing but grease and soft, soggy potatoes.

Basic Mediterranean food you could prob get at an NYC halal cart. You order at the register since there is no waiter (which I love).

Mint & Olives has me shooketh!! Saw as a popular eats on Ubereats so thought I'd give it a try. I got the Chicken Shwarma and it comes with a pretty decent size side salad separately. THEIR CHICKEN SHWARMA WAS THE MOST TENDER PERFECTLY SEASONED meat. The garlic sauce was chef's kiss with it too. MUST TRY if you're around the area. Love love love.

Was excited to finally visit this place. The service was good and quick. The menu offers plenty of options and they are happy to answer your questions. I dined in and the place was cozy but empty. However, while I was there several delivery pick ups where made. The Chicken Shawarma was delicious.

Excellent, I had the falafel wrap and Greek fries. I'll try a plate next time. Greek fries were especially good.

Good food, not the best interior but the food quality makes up for it. I suggest trying the shwarma wrap or the kebab plates.

Absolutely yummy. I had the Gyro salad and Chicken Shawarma with sides of hummus and baba ghanoush. They make their own pita!

Highly recommend the three dip (current seasons is beet and it's my fav) with the flat bread. The flat bread comes out steaming. Trumpet mushroom is Smokey and juicy. Lamb comes in braised form and kebab both really good The soft serve swirl has the perfect texture and flavor. Would come back again!

However after we expressed that we didn't want to wait that long, we were told that if we wanted outdoor seating they could actually seat us in less than half an hour. We chose the outdoor seating option and took a quick stroll in the quiet neighborhood before coming back. Our server told us that Homer's plates are meant to be family style and shared so their general recommendation is 1 large plate or 2 small plates per person. For us, we ordered the Set of top 3 spreads, lamb ragu on tahini and we were served with 5 pieces of warm pita. We also ordered Grilled Pork with Stinging nettles, raw albacore tuna with taramasalata, and smoked and shaved kohlrabi. Our server warned us that the pork was going to be on the fatty side but we were still surprised by how fatty it was. The spreads for the pita were amazing as usual-- their seasonal flavors taste amazingly fresh. Our table wanted to order more pita and when someone came by to take the empty plate they asked if we wanted more which we did let them know but even by the time we finished all the plates, we never got the additional pita so we just took it off. The Kohlrabi was an amazingly refreshing palette cleanser before the pork-- super light and refreshing. After we finished our meal we grabbed some soft serve from the window and wow, for 7$ it's quite a lot of ice cream! The flavors that were offered when we were there was Dark Chocolate and Kettlekorn. I sampled the swirl and the fusion of the saltiness of the kettle korn, the slight bitter and sweetness of the dark chocolate was immaculate. Final thoughts: very cool experience, inside I could see the open kitchen and the stone wood fired oven and the ingredients tasted amazing. However it is a little inconvenient that it's walk in unless you're a party of 6 since the lines and wait can get incredibly long. It's also difficult to find parking in the area. Very neat experience!

Turkish coffee is a short robust coffee, similar to espresso. Served with dark brown sugar and a Turkish delight candy, it is superb. The food here is awesome. I've been in a couple of times and there's always members of the local Turkish community eating here. Says great things about any ethnic restaurant when folks from that ethnicity choose to eat there. I got a build-my-own saj wrap with the mushroom base saj $6, sumac chicken $7, tomato $1.5, cucumber $1.5, pickled turnip $1, and a side of hot sauce $2. The saj bread itself tasted good, but got soaked through by the juice of the chicken and became very soggy. We walked to a park 10 minutes away to eat the wraps and the wraps were bending. The ingredients are fresh but nothing particularly stood out. I didn't quite taste the mushroom on the wrap, and on top of that, I got charged $2 for the hot sauce, but never tasted it in the wrap or found it on the side. My partner got the falafel saj wrap which was overall ddcent, but he also found the saj bread quite soggy, yet the falafels were on the dry side.

The signature saj bread is cooked fresh on a hot stone and is almost like a Middle Eastern flour tortilla with the way it's super thin and satisfyingly chewy bite. The only seating options are a few large benches on the sidewalk, but there's a poster saying you're welcome to sit at the neighboring bar which opens in the late afternoon provided you purchase a drink as well. Ended up sampling 3 of their wrap options and the Zaatar Wrap was deliciously nutty and fragrant, but texturally there was so many herbs that the center ate a little dry. The Lahme Khuruf (Lamb) was my favorite by far with super juicy ground meat with some tang from the labneh, sweetness, freshness from the tomato, and texture from the pine nuts. Absolute home run on this one! The Awarma and Cheese was a close second, but personally, the flavor profile was just a little less interesting than the lamb. Tip: grab some extra napkins as the wraps can fall apart a bit at the end!
