I'd been traumatized by the terrible middle eastern food scene in Seattle and almost gave up on trying new restaurants. I'm glad I didn't! The food in this place, particularly the kebabs and the yellow rice, are excellent! The meat is cooked on charcoal and has an amazing smoky taste to it. My litmus test of any middle eastern restaurant is the quality of their lamb kebabs. This place delivered! The lamb was super tender, juicy and not overly spicy or overly done. The chicken kebab was far from dry, quite the opposite; super moist and flavorful. Their rice was on par with their meat; fluffy and flavorful. You can easily od'd on their rice, so be careful! Overall the food here is scrumptious and is undoubtedly your best bet in the Seattle metro area. read more

The ONLY place to go for REAL shawarma in Queen Anne. The kind that's rotating on a vertical spit and not just some marinated meat thrown on the griddle. The laffah bread also means the wraps are larger than other mediterranean restaurants in the area. If you are a fan of lamb shank and all around delicious mediterranean food, look no further. Easily the best in the city. I wouldn't even share it and just keep it as my secret, but the small family that runs the place is so sweet and deserves our support. We tried this place for the first time last night. We ordered the lamb and beef gyro and the lamb and beef plate. The portions are generous. Even my 18 year old boy said it was enough food for him. That hardly ever happens. We got the food to go and I was so glad they put all the sauces on the side. That way our wraps weren't soggy when we got home. The meat was well seasoned. I actually hate writing reviews but this was just so perfect for my wife and I. We called and out of all the restaurants the lady on the phone was the nicest and most patient. I don't know what's up with Seattle, so many people are so rude but she took the time to explain each item. We ordered the Lamb Shank and Lamb Kabob . I came right when they said it would be ready and sure enough it was ready to go. Quick, easy, and I feel bad for not tipping more. I get back to the wife, we dig in, and my goodness that was the best Lamb Shank I ever had! I travel a lot and out of the many Mediterranean foods, this was the best Lamb Shank! I think there were a few no brainers that could make this place a little better but that's expected in a brand new spot. I wanted a gyro wrap with a side of rice, instead I was told they couldn't do that and that I had to order the gyro platter instead, which not have the pita that I had hoped for and additionally had a salad that I didn't ask for. I think off the cuff, this place should serve rice as a side item. The rice was good and the meat was VERY good, the Tzatziki was excellent but in too small a container. That Tzatziki is too incredible to be served in such a small portion! read more

This place is absolutely fantastic I had the lamb and beef gyro delicious and I love that they cut up the tomatoes and cucumbers into bite size. Their hummus and garlic sauce are so so so good the best I've had in years. Very reasonably priced for what you get. Definitely try this place it won't disappoint.
