    Lamb Burger Chicken Kebab

A hidden shop in Pike's Place. They recommended the Chicken Kebab but it was dryer than the Sahara. Complete 180 on the Lamb Burger, it was juicy and delicious #goodeats would come back for just the lamb burger. Service is quick and they bring you the food. You have to buss your own stuff. All good here. The restaurant is in a hidden alley on pikes place. Surprising amount of space for being on the inside corner. We beat the rush but even if we hadn't, there's plenty of space to sit. A hidden shop in the pike place market! It's next to Rachel's ginger beer and pike place chowder. It looks like a food court, have two small tables in the open area and 5-6 bar seatings. I ordered kotlet sandwiches. We waited for 15 minutes and got our food. The food is a lot better than I thought!!! The portion is big, and the bread for the sandwiches was served warm and tasted so good! Definitely give this place a try :)

Cozy Persian restaurant tucked away inside Pike Place Market. I ordered the lamb kebab plate (about $15) and it was delicious! The salad had a nice citrus twist, the rice was seasoned to perfection, and the lamb was well made. The service is a little slow since it's a small shop, but I definitely would come here again!

Amazing all around. I ordered the chicken (joojeh) kabob and the beef (koobideh) kabob with grilled tomato and it was amazing. So affordable too. Authentic and delicious. And the service was quick for being made to order. I can't wait until the next time i go to the market to get more. Highly recommend to anyone who like persian food or wants to try something new! 10/10

First time trying Persian/Iranian foods, and it was absolutely amazing and blew our minds. Definitely a hidden gem at Pike Place Market (located next to Rachel's Ginger Beer and in very close proximity to Pike Place Chowder) that I highly, highly recommend checking out! They do have tables for dine-in, but food was served in to-go containers and everything was very casual. Quick service as well! My boyfriend and I ordered the ghorme sabzi plate to share. It was unbelievably aromatic due to the parsley, cilantro, spinach, leeks, and dried lime and the beef stew was so soft and savory. Served with saffron basmati rice and YUMMM, it was such a flavorful bite. We gobbled it up very quickly and wanted to order more to bring back to our hotel, but they were already starting to clean up and close. Definitely recommend this place and I am, for sure, coming back when I travel to Seattle again!

    - LAMB KABAB (marinated lamb kabab, served with basmati rice and salad) - GHORMEH SABZI (chopped and sautéed parsley, cilantro, spinach, leeks, flavored with dried lime. mixed with beef stew and red beans. served with saffron basmati rice) - VEGGIE PLATE (chopped and sautéed parsley, cilantro, spinach, leeks, flavored with dried lime. mixed with tofu and red beans. served with saffron basmati rice) - KABAB SANDWICH (ground beef mixed with onion. served with tomato, onions, parsley, pickles, sumac and "farvahar" sauce) * 9/10 * Throughout our Canada trip, we've constantly had Asian food, which meant I was in NEED of Middle Eastern food. As it is my favorite cuisine (middle eastern, Greek, arabic), this Persian restaurant in Pike Place looked good. Ordering was easy peasy since I am bit of an expert of what to get at Middle Eastern restaurants. I always order lamb if it's on the menu, since it's my meat of choice, and these kababs were gooood. This Persian restaurant offered Ghormeh Sabzi. This herby beef stew is one of my favorite Persian dishes as it packs so much flavor from the dried lime. Dads order, the veggie stew, was the exact same as they ghormeh sabzi but the beef was tofu. The kabab sandwich was sour, salty, and just amazing. This was in a little corner, kinda tucked in and away from the main market so we were the only customers in this place. Overall every dish was tasty. ^@kamibites on Instagram

If you want a quick service with rice, something unique / different to eat, and seating, this is a spot! I came by to Pike market on a Saturday lunch time and it was so packed everywhere and I was starving and wanted soenthing quick to eat so I can explore this area. It hit the spot. Fast friendly service, reasonable price, good enough space to sit, and the food hit the spot. It is located further inside the building at the back. It is a bit warm in here at the back.

This place is such a hidden gem. This casual spot is somewhat hidden near Pile Place chowder but I definitely think it's worth a stop. I got the Fesenjoon Plate for takeout, which consisted of shredded chicken with sweet and sour pomegranate and crushed walnut sauce. It was very unique and unlike anything I have ever tasted. I got takeout from here and it was very quick and the portions are big and filling. My minor qualm is that the rice felt a bit oily to me but that's probably necessary to make it so delicious. I definitely would come back here and try all the other dishes.

One of my favorite "hidden gems" in the Market. They pack a ton of flavor into every bite with generous seasonings, and the price for the size of the portions really can't be beat around the Market.

Great food I also appreciate that they customize my food, no rice, no bread and asked me for what else I want to replace with. Delicious great attitude and great service. Keto friendly too

Nice hidden gem in Pike Place with friendly owners and good Persian food. They actually have more complicated traditional stews which is surprising for a small take out/ street food style place in Pike place because even some bigger Persian restaurants I've been to are just kabob shops with a "dish of the day" but they have a lot here. They also have adapted some dishes to a more Western pallet or a fusion if you will. I had a Khabob sandwich and it was pretty good. Was it as good as a charcoal grill at a high price fancy estaurant? Well no, but for the price and location, it was pretty good. The other people sitting next to me were pretty happy with the vegetarian dishes they had too so check them out.

A taste of home! My first time here and I felt welcomed by the proprietor. I had the kotlet sandwich (like a latke - ground beef mixed with potato & onion into a patty), which was heartily wrapped in a pita and stuffed with salad, yogurt, and dusted with sumac (pronounced "so-makh") for that little bit of tang. My wife enjoyed the fesenjoon plate (pomegranate / walnut stew with shredded chicken), which had the perfect balance of tart, sweet, and fat. What's impressive about the fesenjoon is no added oil, since the walnuts naturally release oil. I've had it from some restaurants where cooks will needlessly add oil, thus making it heavier than it should be. The basmati rice was well cooked too. We topped off our meal with hot tea, and look forward to returning to try other menu items.

Incredible! What a find!! The Pike Place area is full of tourist traps so I was amazed to find this little gem nestled away from all the chaos and long lines. I ordered the lamb and it was DIVINE!! Perfectly cooked on a bed of basmati rice. The salad had a burst of flavor from the pleasantly acidic salad dressing. An older Persian man rang up my order and you can really tell he loved feeding people this delicious food. As a visitor to Seattle, I dare say this was my favorite meal of the whole trip. Thank you, Farvahar!

Yalla is a walk up window, and there are just a couple of benches right outside where you can eat, and according to other reviews you can also go to Montana Bar next door with your food. The menu is posted in a couple places right next to the ordering window, and it's pretty easy to parse. Almost everything there is what I'd consider a "portable food", meaning something you don't need a plate, fork, and knife to eat, which makes sense given that it's not a sit down restaurant. They have veggie saj, meaty saj, mezze, a few sides, and a dessert. I really like their concise menu. We tried the baba ghanoush ($9.5), which comes with saj on the side, a batinjan and labneh saj wrap ($12), and a halloumi grilled cheese (halloumi grilled inside saj, $13). As you can tell, the saj underpins everything at Yalla, and their saj is excellent. Warm, soft, flaky, and tearable, it is perfect for both dipping and wrapping and grilling. The batinjan and labneh wrap is bursting (literally) with tender grilled eggplant, a rich sauce, and tangy, creamy labneh. It is truly one of the most delicious eggplant dishes I've ever had. The halloumi grilled cheese definitely hits the spot, and is more filling than you think by looking at it. Baba ghanoush is so smooth and flavorful, and I love the pomegranate seeds on top! The folks who work there are super nice, very friendly, and food comes out quickly. Prices are very reasonable, and I will definitely be back to try some of their meaty saj! This place is going into my regular rotation, for sure.

This…read morewas exciting to me as I enjoy food from the Middle Eastern part of the world, and the entrees do look very enticing! We went on a Saturday around 2pm and it wasn't too busy at the takeout window. The restaurant is only takeout - there are benches right next to the takeout window, but there are only enough spots for 8 - 12 people (2-3 people per bench). The only other seating is at the nearby street seating offered by the neighboring bars, which I can see being restricted during peak hours. Parking can be very difficult if you plan on driving, there is only street side parking that is usually full, and nearby paid parking in lots. Service is fast, after we got our order, we only waited 5-8 minutes for our food. We got their recommended Soujouk (Beef) and Cheese Wrap for $16. The wrap is long, I would say about 13 - 14 inches long, and I can definitely seeing most people getting full after enjoying one of these. The flavors are nice and you can taste the spices from the sausage - I could taste cinnamon front and center with other earthy spices lingering in an aftertaste. The wrap is very decadent, the cheese is hearty and indulgent and that with the spiced sausage and textural difference with the cucumbers is pleasing. Do note with how indulgent this wrap is, you will accumulate a ton of oil in your wrapper as you enjoy it - a nap afterwards is in your future if you eat a whole wrap! I think that Yalla Seattle is a good stop to try these cuisines in a casual manner and the price is reasonable. There are some other items on the menu that kept my attention and I would totally revisit to try the other items offered by this restaurant.

On a Friday around 5:30pm, I was one of three people there before all the tables filled up 30-45 minutes later. Sitting at the bar, I got to watch the open kitchen create each dish with detail. To eat, I ordered the red pepper dip with molasses and walnuts. It comes with several thin pita straight from the oven. There's a slight kick to the dip making it perfect. I could eat just that as a meal. For my main, I got an entire roasted cauliflower with charred shallots, labneh, apricot, and more. The apricot added a sweetness to the savory. With a perfectly cooked cauliflower, it was divine. To drink, I ordered a glass of French white wine. The entire experience is among the best I've had in Seattle. (I come here twice a year.) From the moment we arrived, the **host and servers were warm, welcoming, and very polished**. The service felt attentive without being intrusive, and the staff did a nice job keeping the evening moving at a relaxed pace. The Royal Feast included several dishes that were brought out over the course of the evening. We started with **cinnamon pastries**, which were warm and a nice way to begin the meal. The spread also included **couscous, rice, chicken with lemon, Italian-style chicken, lamb, and kebabs**. The portions were generous and worked well for sharing with a large group. One thing to note: **vegetarians don't have many options here**, so if someone in your group has dietary restrictions, it might be a bit limiting. The meal ended with **tea**, which was a pleasant way to wrap up the dinner. Part of the experience here is the **belly dance performance**, but it doesn't start until **after 6:30 pm**. If you're expecting dancing throughout the dinner, you might be disappointed. The performance itself was okay, but the dancer mostly performs in the center area rather than around the tables, so it feels a bit distant. Personally, I've seen more engaging belly dance performances elsewhere. Parking is something to plan ahead for. The restaurant **does not have its own parking lot**, so you'll need to rely on **Seattle street parking, nearby garages, or paid lots**. Like many parts of the city, you may also see a few tents from unhoused residents while walking to the restaurant. If you're familiar with Seattle, this isn't unusual. Overall, the experience was **fun for a group dinner and worth the price**, especially if you're looking for something a bit different with entertainment included. That said, the food and performance were **good but not quite top-tier**. Still, it made for an enjoyable evening with friends.
