It's not the place for a quick bit, but we were okay with that and had fine service. The shrimp and grits was SO GOOD-- I highly recommend and might even say this is a must get. The taste, service and quality of the food are all outstanding just like the one in College Park. Our waiters name was Chris and he was amazing. We wanted to sit outside at the fire pit and he made sure the fire pit was set to a comfortable level for our liking. Additionally, he continuously checked in on us and made sure we didn't go without. Our food was made to perfection. I love the Cajun chicken sandwich and although this was my first time having it in years I still remember the flavor and this sandwich didn't disappoint at all. My husband ordered the shrimp po boy and at every bite as well. We both enjoyed our drinks as well, the peach lemon drop and whiskey mojito. A great restaurant for American cuisine with a Cajun twist. I've been a fan of this restaurant for a very long time and I'm happy I'm still able to enjoy their food.

We were seated in a semi private room- intimate and quiet without feeling sealed off. - Service (4*) For the most part very professional. The early part was a little clumsy. One waitress delivered us drinks we didn't order. I didn't get a wine glass at first. A couple courses- we didn't get all our plates at same time and waited a bit for everyone to get their food. - Prix Fixe, $140pp - Crimson Orchard, $19 (5*) Beautiful cocktail. Serene just to look at. Even better to taste. Swirled it around my mouth. - Amuse (2*) Cold arancini and a lobster thing that didn't taste much of lobster with a stale tasting shell. Couldn't really have started with anything worse. Also, I would have preferred knowing that foie was part of the amuse. Would have skipped it (for ethical reasons). - Steak Tartare (5*) Beautiful presentation. And so tasty. The bulgur added some really cool texture to this. Super tasty overall. - Turbot (3*) Well cooked piece of fish overall. But I found the sauce to be pretty tasteless overall, and the tomatoes on the plate could have thus used some additional seasoning. - Tomato Side Dish (2*) Very odd inclusion. Also lacking flavor. Just didn't seem to fit the very deliberate prix fixe coursing? - Eggplant Side Dish (5*) While also an odd inclusion, this I at least found delectable. Nice crunch, and the poblano sauce was really good against the eggplant. - Stracciatella (4*) Odd presentation with maybe just a tad too much radicchio. Brave though! Never thought so much radicchio could be manipulated into such a tasty dish. It could have been torn into smaller pieces to make it easier to get bites of radicchio and stracciatella at the same time. I also didn't find the hazelnuts until the very end. - Soufflé (2*) Had such high hopes. They got the hard part right- good execution on the soufflé structure. So fluffy. But it was cloyingly sweet, even for someone like me who enjoys sweet. It tasted almost of cotton candy. I couldn't finish it. - Mignardise (4*) The madeleine kind of just tasted like Costco madeleines. But those chocolate truffles were so delicious. I ate three. - Value (4*) Pretty good value for inventive, Michelin rated food. Many places might charge much more. Didn't quite reach 5* for me because I found the execution lumpy. - Final Word A night of highs and lows. I would come back and order specific things à la carte again maybe. The highs were really high. The lows were really low. Makes it hard to judge this properly. Probably solidly a 3.5* but sadly rounding down to a 3* on account of so many lows.

Intimate, warmly lit, and thoughtfully designed, it invites you to settle in. The presence of books, the scale of the room, the soft energy all creates an atmosphere that feels cultivated. What stands out most is the curation. The wine list is exceptional without being overwhelming, and the option for half pours makes it especially enjoyable for a slower, more exploratory evening. It's clear that every selection has been chosen with care and a point of view. The food follows suit--refined, seasonal, and quietly confident. Nothing is overdone, yet everything feels considered and well-executed. It complements the experience rather than competing for attention. Service is knowledgeable, passionate and attentive. My waiter was incredibly knowledgebale and offered the perfect suggestions. Then, when I was ready to try a drink, the bartender noticed, came over, and suggested a half pour of champagne with the omelette I ordered. Lucian doesn't try to be everything. It knows exactly what it is and executes it at a very high level. It's a place to linger, to read, to have a glass of wine that turns into two. An experience that feels both personal and elevated.

We started with the polenta appetizer, silky and warming, the kind of simple dish that becomes memorable when it's done with real finesse. The black grouper followed as the star -- perfectly cooked, delicate, and rich without ever feeling heavy. Paired with the seasonal salad, bright and crisp, it created a beautiful balance of depth and freshness. The 2021 Tempranillo from Rioja, Spain was a standout. Smooth, structured, and aromatic, it elevated every dish without overpowering them -- one of those bottles you immediately want to remember. Dessert was the lemon tart, light, fragrant, and absolutely divine. A perfect finish. And because it's Lucian, we didn't leave without wandering the shelves -- and ended up purchasing The Silk Roads by Anna Ansari, the perfect companion to an already thoughtful evening. A refined, welcoming space that feeds you in every sense. We'd return without hesitation.

The service was fantastic from start to finish, and the seasonal menu was perfectly curated. We started with the fry bread and the olives and focaccia. Both were amazing, but the pepperoni butter that came with the fry bread was everyone's favorite. For my main, I ordered the lamb pappardelle, which was delicious. The pasta was fresh and the ragu was so flavorful. I also got to try the scallop ravioli and the potato parfait that came with the strip steak--all of it was beautifully presented and incredibly tasty. As we were leaving, we noticed they were setting up a DJ booth for some live music. It looks like a really fun spot, and we can't wait to go back!

There's a large drinks menu that I can't comment on a teetotaler. I would've preferred a couple more non-alcoholic options, but I was able to get a flavored soda water so I didn't feel completely left out. The starters were the star of the menu to me. I had a great time ordering and sharing with my party, trying a bit of everything. Everything was delicious and beautiful. My single critique is that I wanted more of several items which is hardly a critique at all. Unfortunately I was somewhat let down by the vegan main which was a risotto with seasonal veg. The flavor was a little thin and it felt like a bit of an after thought compared to the other mains at my table. While I'm glad there's a vegan option, I'm not actually vegan! I just wanted the seasonal veg made to the chef's preference and was disappointed with the result. Everyone else at the table was thrilled with their meals though! Overall it was a tasty and enjoyable experience, though a few changes could've made it better.

Food: 5/5 We decided to try a leisurely lunch. The menu is not large, but it has enough variety to be interesting. Everything we tried was delicious. The smoked salmon appetizer portion was large, but the best part was the great flavor. I can see why this choice has been on the menu for years. The Vidalia onion soup will be a surprise for the non-Georgians who expect it to be similar to a savory beef broth like French onion soup. Georgia's onions from the Vidalia area are sweet and tasty enough to carry the soup without the help of a meat broth and the green pesto sauce offers a nice additional touch. The salmon on fresh salad was done perfectly. The panka-crusted cod with mashed potatoes and spinach was outstanding. Both were seasoned so lightly that the true flavors shone through. The portions were generous enough that dessert at the time would have been too much, but others can do as we did and take home one of the dessert choices. Next time we plan to try their sandwiches which looked yummy at other tables. Service : 5/5 Service was excellent from the pleasant greeting, through the entire meal. Our server, Clayton, couldn't have been more helpful with the menu, as well as being very efficient and amiable. He made sure our food was served promptly and our beverages glasses were full, and our requests were met quickly. Facility: The facility lends itself to the riverside experience from the canoe in the entryway ceiling to the flowers and bird feeders just beyond the patio tables. The white tablecloth ambiance informs you that this isn't a fast-food experience. There are tents set aside in a more private are of the garden as a lovely venue for special events Location : This isn't a quick roadside stop next to a 6-lane highway. Even though the restaurant is convenient to dine in an Atlanta suburb, the roads to the restaurant wind and meander for a short distance through one of the prettiest neighborhoods, with a canopy of large old trees, with lovely fences, hedges, and gates lining the road. There is courteous valet parking at the front door. The restaurant is not inexpensive but it is well worth the prices paid, in our opinion.

The hostess was welcoming, and we enjoyed waiting by the lake before being seated. When our table turned out to be directly under a cold air vent, the staff happily moved us to a more comfortable spot. After sending it back, it was cooked perfectly, though the flavor was just okay. My husband loved his entrée, and the complimentary birthday dessert was a thoughtful touch. Despite a couple of hiccups, the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service made for an enjoyable evening. I'd definitely return and try something different next time.
